1 К огато Исаак остаря и очите му отслабнаха, и не можеше да вижда, повика по-големия си син Исав и му каза: Синко. А той му отговори: Ето ме.

And it cometh to pass that Isaac aged, and his eyes are too dim for seeing, and he calleth Esau his elder son, and saith unto him, `My son;' and he saith unto him, `Here I.'

2 Т огава Исаак каза: Виж сега, аз вече остарях; не зная кой ден ще умра;

And he saith, `Lo, I pray thee, I have become aged, I have not known the day of my death;

3 и така, вземи още сега оръжията си, колчана си и лъка си, излез на полето и ми улови дивеч,

and now, take up, I pray thee, thy instruments, thy quiver, and thy bow, and go out to the field, and hunt for me provision,

4 и ми сготви вкусно ястие, каквото аз обичам, и ми донеси да ям, за да те благослови душата ми, преди да умра.

and make for me tasteful things, as I have loved, and bring in to me, and I do eat, so that my soul doth bless thee before I die.'

5 А Ревека чу, когато Исаак говореше на сина си Исав. И Исав отиде на полето да улови дивеч и да го донесе.

And Rebekah is hearkening while Isaac is speaking unto Esau his son; and Esau goeth to the field to hunt provision -- to bring in;

6 Т огава Ревека каза на сина си Яков: Виж, аз чух баща ти да говори на брат ти с тези думи:

and Rebekah hath spoken unto Jacob her son, saying, `Lo, I have heard thy father speaking unto Esau thy brother, saying,

7 Д онеси ми дивеч и ми сготви вкусно ястие, за да ям и да те благословя пред Господа, преди да умра.

Bring for me provision, and make for me tasteful things, and I do eat, and bless thee before Jehovah before my death.

8 И така, сега, синко, каквото ти поръчам, послушай думите ми.

`And now, my son, hearken to my voice, to that which I am commanding thee:

9 И ди още сега при стадото и ми донеси оттам две добри ярета, и аз ще сготвя вкусно ястие за баща ти, каквото той обича;

Go, I pray thee, unto the flock, and take for me from thence two good kids of the goats, and I make them tasteful things for thy father, as he hath loved;

10 и ти ще го принесеш на баща си да яде, за да те благослови, преди да умре.

and thou hast taken in to thy father, and he hath eaten, so that his soul doth bless thee before his death.

11 Н о Яков каза на майка си Ревека: Виж, брат ми Исав е космат, а аз съм с гладка кожа.

And Jacob saith unto Rebekah his mother, `Lo, Esau my brother a hairy man, and I a smooth man,

12 М оже би ще ме попипа баща ми и аз ще се окажа пред него измамник, и ще навлека на себе си проклятие, а не благословение.

it may be my father doth feel me, and I have been in his eyes as a deceiver, and have brought upon me disesteem, and not a blessing;'

13 А майка му каза: Нека твоето проклятие падне върху мене, синко; само послушай думите ми и иди и ми ги донеси.

and his mother saith to him, `On me thy disesteem, my son; only hearken to my voice, and go, take for me.'

14 И така, той отиде, взе ги и ги донесе на майка си; и майка му сготви вкусно ястие, каквото баща му обичаше.

And he goeth, and taketh, and bringeth to his mother, and his mother maketh tasteful things, as his father hath loved;

15 П осле Ревека взе по-добрите дрехи на по-стария си син Исав, които се намираха вкъщи при нея, и с тях облече по-младия си син Яков.

and Rebekah taketh the desirable garments of Esau her elder son, which with her in the house, and doth put on Jacob her younger son;

16 И зави ръцете му и гладкото на шията му с ярешките кожи.

and the skins of the kids of the goats she hath put on his hands, and on the smooth of his neck,

17 Т огава даде в ръцете на сина си Яков вкусното ястие и хляба, който беше приготвила.

and she giveth the tasteful things, and the bread which she hath made, into the hand of Jacob her son.

18 И така, той отиде при баща си и каза: Татко. А Исаак отговори: Ето ме; кой си ти, синко?

And he cometh in unto his father, and saith, `My father;' and he saith, `Here I; who thou, my son?'

19 Я ков каза на баща си: Аз съм първородният ти Исав; направих каквото ми поръча; стани, моля ти се, седни и яж от дивеча ми, за да ме благослови душата ти.

And Jacob saith unto his father, `I Esau thy first-born; I have done as thou hast spoken unto me; rise, I pray thee, sit, and eat of my provision, so that thy soul doth bless me.'

20 Н о Исак попита на сина си: Как стана, синко, че го намери толкова скоро? А той отвърна: Защото Господ, твоят Бог, ми даде добър успех.

And Isaac saith unto his son, `What this thou hast hasted to find, my son?' and he saith, `That which Jehovah thy God hath caused to come before me.'

21 Т огава Исаак каза на Яков: Моля, синко, приближи се, за да те попипам дали си същият ми син Исав, или не.

And Isaac saith unto Jacob, `Come nigh, I pray thee, and I feel thee, my son, whether thou he, my son Esau, or not.'

22 Я ков се приближи към баща си Исаак; и той, като го попипа, каза: Гласът е глас Яковов, а ръцете са ръце Исавови.

And Jacob cometh nigh unto Isaac his father, and he feeleth him, and saith, `The voice the voice of Jacob, and the hands hands of Esau.'

23 И не го позна, защото ръцете му бяха космати, както ръцете на брат му Исав; и го благослови.

And he hath not discerned him, for his hands have been hairy, as the hands of Esau his brother, and he blesseth him,

24 И каза: Ти ли си същият ми син Исав? А той отвърна: Аз.

and saith, `Thou art he -- my son Esau?' and he saith, `I.'

25 Т огава Исаак каза: Принеси ми и ще ям от лова на сина си, за да те благослови душата ми. И му принесе и яде; донесе му и вино и пи. Благословението на Яков

And he saith, `Bring nigh to me, and I do eat of my son's provision, so that my soul doth bless thee;' and he bringeth nigh to him, and he eateth; and he bringeth to him wine, and he drinketh.

26 А баща му Исаак му каза: Приближи се сега и ме целуни, синко.

And Isaac his father saith to him, `Come nigh, I pray thee, and kiss me, my son;'

27 И той се приближи и го целуна; и Исаак помириса дъха на облеклото му и го благослови, като каза: Ето, дъхът на сина ми е като дъх на поле, което е благословил Господ.

and he cometh nigh, and kisseth him, and he smelleth the fragrance of his garments, and blesseth him, and saith, `See, the fragrance of my son as the fragrance of a field which Jehovah hath blessed;

28 Б ог да ти даде от росата на небето и от тлъстината на земята, и изобилие на жито и на вино.

and God doth give to thee of the dew of heaven, and of the fatness of the earth, and abundance of corn and wine;

29 П лемена да ти слугуват и народи да ти се покланят. Бъди господар на братята си; и да ти се покланят синовете на майка ти. Проклет всеки, който те кълне, и благословен всеки, който те благославя.

peoples serve thee, and nations bow themselves to thee, be thou mighty over thy brethren, and the sons of thy mother bow themselves to thee; those who curse thee cursed, and those who bless thee blessed.'

30 Щ ом като Исаак свърши да благославя Яков и Яков току-що беше се разделил с баща си Исаак, дойде брат му Исав от лова си.

And it cometh to pass, as Isaac hath finished blessing Jacob, and Jacob is only just going out from the presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother hath come in from his hunting;

31 С ъщо и той сготви вкусно ястие, принесе на баща си и му каза: Да стане баща ми и да яде от дивеча на сина си, за да ме благослови душата ти.

and he also maketh tasteful things, and bringeth to his father, and saith to his father, `Let my father arise, and eat of his son's provision, so that thy soul doth bless me.'

32 А баща му Исаак му каза: Кой си ти? И той отговори: Аз съм синът ти, първородният ти Исав.

And Isaac his father saith to him, `Who thou?' and he saith, `I thy son, thy first-born, Esau;'

33 Т огава Исаак се разтрепери твърде много и каза: А кой ще е онзи, който улови дивеч и ми принесе, и ядох от всичко, преди да дойдеш ти, и го благослових? - Да! И благословен ще бъде.

and Isaac trembleth a very great trembling, and saith, `Who, now, he who hath provided provision, and bringeth in to me, and I eat of all before thou comest in, and I bless him? -- yea, blessed is he.'

34 К огато Исав чу бащините си думи, извика със силен и жалостен вик и каза на баща си: Благослови и мене, татко.

When Esau heareth the words of his father, then he crieth a very great and bitter cry, and saith to his father, `Bless me, me also, O my father;'

35 А Исаак отвърна: Брат ти дойде с измама и взе твоето благословение.

and he saith, `Thy brother hath come with subtilty, and taketh thy blessing.'

36 И сав каза: Право са го нарекли Яков, защото сега втори път ме измести. Отне първородството ми и, ето, сега е отнел и благословението ми. И каза: Не си ли задържал за мене благословение?

And he saith, `Is it because called his name Jacob that he doth take me by the heel these two times? my birthright he hath taken; and lo, now, he hath taken my blessing;' he saith also, `Hast thou not kept back a blessing for me?'

37 А Исаак отговори на Исав: Ето, поставих го господар над тебе, направих всичките му братя негови слуги и го надарих с жито и вино; и така, какво да направя за тебе, синко?

And Isaac answereth and saith to Esau, `Lo, a mighty one have I set him over thee, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants, and corn and wine have I sustained him; and for thee now, what shall I do, my son?'

38 И Исав отвърна на баща си: Само едно ли благословение имаш, татко? Благослови и мене, татко. И Исав плака с висок глас.

And Esau saith unto his father, `One blessing hast thou my father? bless me, me also, O my father;' and Esau lifteth up his voice, and weepeth.

39 Т огава баща му Исаак в отговор му каза: Ето, твоето желание ще бъде в тлъстите места на земята, наросявани от небето горе.

And Isaac his father answereth and saith unto him, `Lo, of the fatness of the earth is thy dwelling, and of the dew of the heavens from above;

40 С меча си ще живееш, а на брат си ще слугуваш. Но когато въстанеш, ще строшиш ярема му от врата си. Омразата на Исав към Яков

and by thy sword dost thou live, and thy brother dost thou serve; and it hath come to pass when thou rulest, that thou hast broken his yoke from off thy neck.'

41 И Исав мразеше Яков поради благословението, с което баща му го благослови; Исав си каза: Скоро ще настанат дните, когато ще оплакваме баща си, тогава ще убия брат си Яков.

And Esau hateth Jacob, because of the blessing with which his father blessed him, and Esau saith in his heart, `The days of mourning my father draw near, and I slay Jacob my brother.'

42 П редадоха на Ревека думите на по-стария ѝ син Исав; затова тя прати да повикат по-младия ѝ син Яков и му каза: Виж, брат ти Исав се утешава относно тебе, че ще те убие.

And the words of Esau her elder son are declared to Rebekah, and she sendeth and calleth for Jacob her younger son, and saith unto him, `Lo, Esau thy brother is comforting himself in regard to thee -- to slay thee;

43 И така, сега, синко, послушай думите ми: стани и бягай при брат ми Лаван в Харан,

and now, my son, hearken to my voice, and rise, flee for thyself unto Laban my brother, to Haran,

44 и поживей при него известно време, докато премине яростта на брат ти,

and thou hast dwelt with him some days, till thy brother's fury turn back,

45 д окато премине от тебе гневът на брат ти и той забрави това, което си му сторил; тогава ще пратя да те доведат оттам. Защо да се лиша и от двама ви в един ден?

till thy brother's anger turn back from thee, and he hath forgotten that which thou hast done to him, and I have sent and taken thee from thence; why am I bereaved even of you both the same day?'

46 И Ревека каза на Исаак: Омръзна ми животът поради хетските дъщери. Ако Яков вземе жена от хетските дъщери, каквито са тези, от дъщерите на тази земя, защо живея?

And Rebekah saith unto Isaac, `I have been disgusted with my life because of the presence of the daughters of Heth; if Jacob take a wife of the daughters of Heth, like these -- from the daughters of the land -- why do I live?'
