1 А на третия ден Естир се облече в царските си дрехи и застана във вътрешния двор на царската къща срещу царската къща; а царят седеше на царския си престол в царската къща срещу входа на къщата.

And it cometh to pass on the third day, that Esther putteth on royalty, and standeth in the inner-court of the house of the king over-against the house of the king, and the king is sitting on his royal throne, in the royal-house, over-against the opening of the house,

2 И като видя царят царица Естир, че стоеше в двора, тя придоби благоволението му; и царят простря към Естир златния скиптър, който държеше в ръката си; и Естир се приближи и се допря до края на скиптъра.

and it cometh to pass, at the king's seeing Esther the queen standing in the court, she hath received grace in his eyes, and the king holdeth out to Esther the golden sceptre that in his hand, and Esther draweth near, and toucheth the top of the sceptre.

3 Т огава царят ѝ каза: Какво искаш, царице Естир, и каква е молбата ти? Даже до половината от царството ще ти бъде дадено.

And the king saith to her, `What -- to thee Esther, O queen? and what thy request? unto the half of the kingdom -- and it is given to thee.'

4 А Естир отвърна: Ако е угодно на царя, нека дойде царят с Аман днес на угощението, което съм приготвила за него.

And Esther saith, `If unto the king good, the king doth come in, and Haman, to-day, unto the banquet that I have made for him;'

5 И царят каза: Карайте Аман да побърза, за да бъде направено, каквото е казала Естир. Така царят и Аман дойдоха на угощението, което Естир беше приготвила.

and the king saith, `Haste ye Haman -- to do the word of Esther;' and the king cometh in, and Haman, unto the banquet that Esther hath made.

6 Д окато пиеха вино, царят каза на Естир: Какво е желанието ти? И ще бъде удовлетворено. А какво е прошението ти? И ще бъде изпълнено, даже до половината от царството.

And the king saith to Esther, during the banquet of wine, `What thy petition? and it is given to thee; and what thy request? unto the half of the kingdom -- and it is done.'

7 Т огава Естир отговори: Желанието и прошението ми е това:

And Esther answereth and saith, `My petition and my request:

8 А ко съм придобила благоволението на царя и ако е угодно на царя да удовлетвори желанието ми и да изпълни прошението ми, нека дойде царят с Аман на угощението, което ще приготвя за тях, и утре ще направя, според както царят е казал. Планът на Аман срещу Мардохей

if I have found grace in the eyes of the king, and if unto the king good, to give my petition, and to perform my request, the king doth come, and Haman, unto the banquet that I make for them, and to-morrow I do according to the word of the king.'

9 В този ден Аман излезе радостен и с весело сърце; но когато видя Мардохей в царската порта, че не става, нито помръдва за него, Аман се изпълни с ярост против Мардохей.

And Haman goeth forth on that day rejoicing and glad in heart, and at Haman's seeing Mordecai in the gate of the king, and he hath not risen nor moved for him, then is Haman full of fury against Mordecai.

10 О баче Аман се въздържа и отиде у дома си; тогава прати да повикат приятелите му и жена му Зереса

And Haman forceth himself, and cometh in unto his house, and sendeth, and bringeth in his friends, and Zeresh his wife,

11 и Аман им приказва̀ за славата на богатството си и за многото си деца, и как царят го беше повишил, и как го беше издигнал над първенците и царските слуги.

and Haman recounteth to them the glory of his wealth, and the abundance of his sons, and all that with which the king made him great, and with which he lifted him up above the heads and servants of the king.

12 А ман каза още: Даже и царица Естир не покани друг с царя на угощението, което направи, а само мен; още утре съм поканен при нея с царя.

And Haman saith, `Yea, Esther the queen brought none in with the king, unto the feast that she made, except myself, and also for to-morrow I am called to her, with the king,

13 О баче всичко това не ме задоволява, докато гледам юдеина Мардохей да седи при царската порта.

and all this is not profitable to me, during all the time that I am seeing Mordecai the Jew sitting in the gate of the king.'

14 Т огава жена му Зереса и всичките му приятели му казаха: Нека бъде приготвена една бесилка, петдесет лакътя висока, и утре кажи на царя да бъде обесен Мардохей на нея; тогава иди радостен с царя на угощението. И като се хареса това на Аман, заповяда да бъде приготвена бесилката.

And Zeresh his wife saith to him, and all his friends, `Let them prepare a tree, in height fifty cubits, and in the morning speak to the king, and they hang Mordecai on it, and go thou in with the king unto the banquet rejoicing;' and the thing is good before Haman, and he prepareth the tree.
