1 И зминаха три години без война между Сирия и Израел.

And they sit still three years, there is no war between Aram and Israel,

2 А в третата година, когато Юдейският цар Йосафат слезе при Израелевия цар,

and it cometh to pass in the third year, that Jehoshaphat king of Judah cometh down unto the king of Israel,

3 И зраелевият цар каза на слугите си: Знаете ли, че Рамот-галаад е наш; а ние отдавна мълчим и не си го вземаме от сирийския цар?

and the king of Israel saith unto his servants, `Have ye not known that ours Ramoth-Gilead? and we are keeping silent from taking it out of the hand of the king of Aram!'

4 К аза и на Йосафат: Идваш ли с мене на бой в Рамот-галаад? Йосафат отговори на Израелевия цар: Аз съм, както си ти, моят народ - както твоят народ, моите коне - както твоите коне.

And he saith unto Jehoshaphat, `Dost thou go with me to battle Ramoth-Gilead?' and Jehoshaphat saith unto the king of Israel, `As I am, so thou; as my people, so thy people; as my horses, so thy horses.'

5 Й осафат каза още на Израелевия цар: Моля, допитайте се сега до Господнето слово.

And Jehoshaphat saith unto the king of Israel, `Seek, I pray thee, to-day, the word of Jehovah;'

6 Т огава Израелевият цар събра пророците си, около четиристотин мъже, и им каза: Да ида ли на бой против Рамот-галаад, или да не ида? А те отговориха: Излез и Господ ще го предаде в ръката на царя.

and the king of Israel gathereth the prophets, about four hundred men, and saith unto them, `Do I go against Ramoth-Gilead to battle, or do I forbear?' and they say, `Go up, and the Lord doth give into the hand of the king.'

7 О баче Йосафат каза: Няма ли тук, освен тези, някой Господен пророк, за да се допитаме чрез него?

And Jehoshaphat saith, `Is there not here a prophet of Jehovah besides, and we seek by him?'

8 И зраелевият цар отвърна на Йосафат: Има още един човек, Михей, син на Емла, чрез когото можем да се допитаме до Господа. Но аз го мразя, защото не пророкува добро за мен, а зло. А Йосафат каза: Нека царят не говори така.

And the king of Israel saith unto Jehoshaphat, `Yet -- one man to seek Jehovah by him, and I have hated him, for he doth not prophesy concerning me good, but evil -- Micaiah son of Imlah;' and Jehoshaphat saith, `Let not the king say so.'

9 Т огава Израелевият цар повика един евнух и каза: Доведи бързо Михей, син на Емла.

And the king of Israel calleth unto a certain eunuch, and saith, `Hasten Micaiah son of Imlah.'

10 А Израелевият цар и Юдейският цар Йосафат седяха, всеки на престола си, облечени в одеждите си, на открито място при входа на самарийската порта. И всички пророци пророкуваха пред тях.

And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah are sitting, each on his throne, clothed with garments, in a threshing-floor, at the opening of the gate of Samaria, and all the prophets are prophesying before them.

11 А Седекия, Ханаановият син, си направи железни рогове и каза: Така казва Господ: С тези ще буташ сирийците, докато ги довършиш.

And Zedekiah son of Chenaanah maketh for himself horns of iron, and saith, `Thus said Jehovah, By these thou dost push the Aramaeans till they are consumed;'

12 С ъщо и всичките пророци пророкуваха така: Иди в Рамот-галаад и ще имаш добър успех; защото Господ ще го предаде в ръката на царя.

and all the prophets are prophesying so, saying, `Go up to Ramoth-Gilead, and prosper, and Jehovah hath given into the hand of the king.'

13 А пратеникът, който отиде да повика Михей, му каза: Ето сега думите на пророците, като от едни уста са добри за царя; моля и твоята дума да бъде като на всекиго от тях и ти говорѝ доброто.

And the messenger who hath gone to call Micaiah hath spoken unto him, saying, `Lo, I pray thee, the words of the prophets, with one mouth, good towards the king; let it be, I pray thee, thy word as the word of one of them -- and thou hast spoken good.'

14 А Михей отговори: В името на живия Господ заявявам, че каквото ми каже Господ, това ще говоря.

And Micaiah saith, `Jehovah liveth; surely that which Jehovah saith unto me -- it I speak.'

15 И така, той дойде при царя. И царят го запита: Михей, да идем ли на бой в Рамот-галаад, или да не идем? А той му отговори: Излез и ще имаш добър успех, защото Господ ще го предаде в ръката на царя.

And he cometh in unto the king, and the king saith unto him, `Micaiah, do we go unto Ramoth-Gilead, to battle, or do we forbear?' and he saith unto him, `Go up, and prosper, and Jehovah hath given into the hand of the king.'

16 А царят му каза: Колко пъти ще те заклевам да не ми говориш друго освен истината в Господнето име!

And the king saith unto him, `How many times am I adjuring thee that thou speak nothing unto me but truth in the name of Jehovah?'

17 Т огава пророкът отвърна: Видях целия Израел, пръснат по планините - като овце, които нямат овчар. И Господ каза: Тези нямат господар; нека се върнат всеки у дома си с мир.

And he saith, `I have seen all Israel scattered on the hills as sheep that have no shepherd, and Jehovah saith, These have no master; they turn back each to his house in peace.'

18 Т огава Израелевият цар каза на Йосафат: Не ти ли казах, че няма да пророкува добро за мен, а зло?

And the king of Israel saith unto Jehoshaphat, `Have I not said unto thee, He doth not prophesy of me good, but evil?'

19 А Михей каза: Чуй Господнето слово. Видях Господа, Който седеше на престола Си, и цялото небесно множество, което стоеше около Него отдясно и отляво.

And he saith, `Therefore, hear a word of Jehovah; I have seen Jehovah sitting on His throne, and all the host of the heavens standing by Him, on His right and on His left;

20 И Господ каза: Кой ще примами Ахаав, за да отиде и да падне в Рамот-галаад? И един каза едно, а друг - друго.

and Jehovah saith, Who doth entice Ahab, and he doth go up and fall in Ramoth-Gilead? and this one saith thus, and that one is saying thus.

21 П осле излезе един дух, застана пред Господа и каза: Аз ще го примамя.

`And the spirit goeth out, and standeth before Jehovah, and saith, I -- I do entice him; and Jehovah saith unto him, By what?

22 Г оспод го попита: Как? А той отговори: Ще изляза и ще бъда лъжлив дух в устата на всичките му пророци. И Господ каза: Примамвай го и ще успееш. Излез, направи така!

and he saith, I go out, and have been a spirit of falsehood in the mouth of all his prophets; and He saith, Thou dost entice, and also thou art able; go out and do so.

23 И така, сега Господ е вложил лъжлив дух в устата на всички тези твои пророци; Господ обаче е говорил зло за тебе.

And now, lo, Jehovah hath put a spirit of falsehood in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and Jehovah hath spoken concerning thee -- evil.'

24 Т огава Седекия, Ханаановият син, се приближи, зашлеви Михей по бузата и каза: По кой път мина Господният Дух от мене, за да говори на теб?

And Zedekiah son of Chenaanah draweth nigh, and smiteth Micaiah on the cheek, and saith, `Where this -- he hath passed over -- the Spirit of Jehovah -- from me to speak with thee?'

25 А Михей отвърна: Ето, ще видиш в онзи ден, когато ще бягаш от стая в стая, за да се криеш.

And Micaiah saith, `Lo, thou art seeing on that day, when thou goest in to the innermost chamber to be hidden.'

26 Т огава Израелевият цар каза: Хванете Михей и го върнете при градския управител Амон и при царския син Йоас.

And the king of Israel saith, `Take Micaiah, and turn him back unto Amon head of the city, and unto Joash son of the king,

27 И им кажете: Така заповяда царят: Хвърлете този в тъмницата и го хранете със затворническа порция хляб и вода, докато си дойда с мир.

and thou hast said, Thus said the king, Place ye this one in the house of restraint, and cause him to eat bread of oppression, and water of oppression, till my coming in peace.'

28 А Михей каза: Ако някога се върнеш с мир, то Господ не е говорил чрез мене. Каза още: Слушайте вие, всички племена.

And Micaiah saith, `If thou at all return in peace -- Jehovah hath not spoken by me;' and he saith, `Hear, O peoples, all of them.'

29 И така, Израелевият цар и Юдейският цар Йосафат отидоха в Рамот-галаад.

And the king of Israel goeth up, and Jehoshaphat king of Judah, to Ramoth-Gilead.

30 И зраелевият цар каза на Йосафат: Аз ще се преоблека, като вляза в сражението, а ти облечи одеждите си. И така, Израелевият цар се преоблече и влезе в сражението.

And the king of Israel saith unto Jehoshaphat to disguise himself, and to go into battle, `And thou, put on thy garments.' And the king of Israel disguiseth himself, and goeth into battle.

31 А сирийският цар беше заповядал на тридесет и двамата свои началници на колесници: Не се бийте нито с малък, нито с голям, а само с Израелевия цар.

And the king of Aram commanded the heads of the charioteers whom he hath -- thirty and two -- saying, `Ye do not fight with small or with great, but with the king of Israel by himself.'

32 А началниците на колесници, като видяха Йосафат, си казаха: Този трябва да е Израелевият цар. И се отклониха да го ударят, но Йосафат извика.

And it cometh to pass, at the heads of the charioteers seeing Jehoshaphat, that they said, `He only the king of Israel;' and they turn aside to him to fight, and Jehoshaphat crieth out,

33 И началниците на колесници, като видяха, че той не беше Израелевият цар, престанаха да го преследват и се върнаха.

and it cometh to pass, at the heads of the charioteers seeing that he not the king of Israel, that they turn back from after him.

34 А един човек стреля, без да се цели, и улучи Израелевия цар между свръзките на бронята му; затова той каза на колесничаря си: Обърни ръката си и ме изведи от сражението, защото съм тежко ранен.

And a man hath drawn with a bow, in his simplicity, and smiteth the king of Israel between the joinings and the coat of mail, and he saith to his charioteer, `Turn thy hand, and take me out from the camp, for I have become sick.'

35 И в онзи ден сражението се усили. А царят беше подкрепен в колесницата си срещу сирийците, но привечер умря; и кръвта течеше от раната в дъното на колесницата.

And the battle increaseth on that day, and the king hath been caused to stand in the chariot, over-against Aram, and he dieth in the evening, and the blood of the wound runneth out unto the midst of the chariot,

36 О коло залез слънце в стана се нададе вик, който обявяваше: Всеки да иде в града си и всеки на мястото си.

and he causeth the cry to pass over through the camp, at the going in of the sun, saying, `Each unto his city, and each unto his land.'

37 Т ака царят умря и го донесоха в Самария, и го погребаха там.

And the king dieth, and cometh into Samaria, and they bury the king in Samaria;

38 И като миеха колесницата в самарийския водоем, където се миеха и блудниците, кучетата лижеха кръвта му според словото, което Господ беше говорил.

and rinseth the chariot by the pool of Samaria, and the dogs lick his blood -- when the armour they had washed -- according to the word of Jehovah that He spake.

39 А останалите дела на Ахаав и всичко, което извърши, и къщата от слонова кост, която построи, и всички градове, които съгради, са записани в Книгата на летописите на Израелевите царе.

And the rest of the matters of Ahab, and all that he did, and the house of ivory that he built, and all the cities that he built, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?

40 Т ака Ахаав заспа с бащите си; и вместо него се възцари синът му Охозия. Възцаряване на Йосафат в Юдея

And Ahab lieth with his fathers, and Ahaziah his son reigneth in his stead.

41 А над Юдея се възцари Йосафат, син на Аса, в четвъртата година на Израелевия цар Ахаав.

And Jehoshaphat son of Asa hath reigned over Judah in the fourth year of Ahab king of Israel,

42 Й осафат беше на възраст тридесет и пет години, когато се възцари, и царува̀ двадесет и пет години в Йерусалим; а името на майка му беше Азува, дъщеря на Силей.

Jehoshaphat a son of thirty and five years in his reigning, and twenty and five years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother Azubah daughter of Shilhi.

43 Т ой ходи съвършено в пътя на баща си Аса; не се отклони от него, а вършеше това, което беше право пред Господа. Високите места обаче не се отмениха; народът все още жертваше и кадеше по високите места.

And he walketh in all the way of Asa his father, he hath not turned aside from it, to do that which right in the eyes of Jehovah; only the high places have not turned aside, yet are the people sacrificing and making perfume in high places.

44 И Йосафат сключи мир с Израелевия цар.

And Jehoshaphat maketh peace with the king of Israel;

45 А останалите дела на Йосафат, юначеството, което показа, и как воюваше, са записани в Книгата на летописите на Юдейските царе.

and the rest of the matters of Jehoshaphat, and his might that he got, and with which he fought, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Judah?

46 О свен това той изтреби от земята останалите мъжеложници, които бяха останали от времето на баща му Аса.

And the remnant of the whoremongers who were left in the days of Asa his father he took away out of the land;

47 П о това време в Едом нямаше цар, а царуваше наместник.

and there is no king in Edom; he set up a king.

48 Й осафат построи кораби като тарсийските, които да отплават за Офир за злато. Те обаче не отплаваха, защото се разбиха в Есион-гавер.

Jehoshaphat made ships at Tarshish to go to Ophir for gold, and they went not, for the ships were broken in Ezion-Geber.

49 Т огава Охозия, Ахаавовият син, каза на Йосафат: Нека моите слуги отидат с твоите слуги в корабите. Но Йосафат отказа.

Then said Ahaziah son of Ahab unto Jehoshaphat, `Let my servants go with thy servants in the ships;' and Jehoshaphat was not willing.

50 И Йосафат заспа с бащите си и беше погребан при тях в града на баща си Давид; и вместо него се възцари синът му Йорам. Възцаряване на Охозия в Израел

And Jehoshaphat lieth with his fathers, and is buried with his fathers in the city of David his father, and Jehoram his son reigneth in his stead.

51 О хозия, Ахаавовият син, се възцари над Израел в Самария в седемнадесетата година на Юдейския цар Йосафат и царува̀ две години над Израел.

Ahaziah son of Ahab hath reigned over Israel in Samaria in the seventeenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and reigneth over Israel two years,

52 Т ой вършѝ зло пред Господа, като ходи в пътя на баща си и в пътя на майка си, и в пътя на Еровоам, Наватовия син, който подтикна Израел да греши;

and doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, and walketh in the way of his father, and in the way of his mother, and in the way of Jeroboam son of Nebat who caused Israel to sin,

53 з ащото служѝ на Ваал и му се поклони, и разгневи Господа, Израелевия Бог, според всичко, което беше вършил баща му.

and serveth the Baal, and boweth himself to it, and provoketh Jehovah, God of Israel, according to all that his father had done.
