1 И народът роптаеше зле в ушите на Господа; Господ чу и гневът Му пламна; и огън от Господа се запали между тях и изгаряше неколцина в покрайнините на стана.

And the people is evil, as those sighing habitually in the ears of Jehovah, and Jehovah heareth, and His anger burneth, and the fire of Jehovah burneth among them, and consumeth in the extremity of the camp.

2 Т огава народът извика към Моисей; и Моисей се помоли на Господа и огънят престана.

And the people cry unto Moses, and Moses prayeth unto Jehovah, and the fire is quenched;

3 И онова място бе наречено Тавера, защото огън от Господа гореше между тях.

and he calleth the name of that place Taberah, for the fire of Jehovah hath `burned' among them.

4 Р азноплеменното множество, което беше между тях, показа голяма лакомия; също и израелтяните пак плакаха и казаха: Кой ще ни даде месо да ядем?

And the rabble who in its midst have lusted greatly, and the sons of Israel also turn back and weep, and say, `Who doth give us flesh?

5 Н ие помним рибата, която ядохме даром в Египет, краставиците, дините, праза и червения, и чесновия лук;

We have remembered the fish which we do eat in Egypt for nought, the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick;

6 а сега душата ни е изсъхнала; нищо няма; няма какво да гледаме освен тази манна.

and now our soul dry, there is not anything, save the manna, before our eyes.'

7 ( А манната приличаше на кориандрово семе и беше на вид като бделий.

And the manna is as coriander seed, and its aspect as the aspect of bdolach;

8 Н ародът се пръскаше наоколо и я събираше, мелеше я в мелници или я чукаше в кутли, и я вареше в гърнета, и правеше пити от нея; а вкусът ѝ беше като вкус на пити, пържени в масло.

the people have turned aside and gathered, and ground with millstones, or beat in a mortar, and boiled in a pan, and made it cakes, and its taste hath been as the taste of the moisture of oil.

9 К огато росата падаше в стана нощем, падаше с нея и манна.)

And in the descending of the dew on the camp by night, the manna descendeth upon it.

10 И Моисей чу как народът плачеше в семействата си, всеки при входа на шатъра си; и Господният гняв пламна силно; стана му мъчно и на Моисей.

And Moses heareth the people weeping by its families, each at the opening of his tent, and the anger of Jehovah burneth exceedingly, and in the eyes of Moses evil.

11 М оисей запита Господа: Защо си оскърбил слугата Си? И защо не съм придобил Твоето благоволение, а си сложил върху мене товара на целия този народ?

And Moses saith unto Jehovah, `Why hast Thou done evil to Thy servant? and why have I not found grace in Thine eyes -- to put the burden of all this people upon me?

12 А з ли съм заченал целия този народ? Или аз съм ги родил, че ми казваш: Носи ги в скута си, както бавачка носи младенец, до земята, за която си се клел на бащите им?

I -- have I conceived all this people? I -- have I begotten it, that Thou sayest unto me, Carry it in thy bosom as the nursing father beareth the suckling, unto the ground which Thou hast sworn to its fathers?

13 О ткъде у мене месо да дам на целия този народ? Защото плаче пред мен и казва: Дай ни месо да ядем.

Whence have I flesh to give to all this people? for they weep unto me, saying, Give to us flesh, and we eat.

14 А з сам не мога да нося целия този народ, защото е много тежък за мен.

I am not able -- I alone -- to bear all this people, for too heavy for me;

15 А ко Ти постъпиш така с мене, то убий ме още сега, моля, ако съм придобил Твоето благоволение, за да не видя злочестината си.

and if thus Thou art doing to me -- slay me, I pray Thee; slay, if I have found grace in thine eyes, and let me not look on mine affliction.'

16 Т огава Господ каза на Моисей: Събери ми седемдесет мъже измежду Израелевите старейшини, които познаваш като старейшини на народа и техни надзиратели, и ги доведи при шатъра за срещане, за да застанат там с теб.

And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Gather to Me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom thou hast known that they are elders of the people, and its authorities; and thou hast taken them unto the tent of meeting, and they have stationed themselves there with thee,

17 И Аз, като сляза, ще говоря там с теб; и ще взема от духа, който е на теб, и ще го сложа на тях; и те ще носят товара на народа заедно с тебе, за да не го носиш ти сам.

and I have come down and spoken with thee there, and have kept back of the Spirit which upon thee, and have put on them, and they have borne with thee some of the burden of the people, and thou dost not bear thyself alone.

18 И кажи на народа: Очистете се за утре и ще ядете месо; защото плачехте в ушите на Господа и казвахте: Кой ще ни даде месо да ядем? Защото добре ни беше в Египет. Затова Господ ще ви даде месо и ще ядете.

`And unto the people thou dost say, Sanctify yourselves for to-morrow, and ye have eaten flesh (for ye have wept in the ears of Jehovah, saying, Who doth give us flesh? for we good in Egypt) -- and Jehovah hath given to you flesh, and ye have eaten.

19 Н яма да ядете месо един ден, нито два дни, нито пет дни, нито десет дни, нито двадесет дни,

Ye do not eat one day, nor two days, nor five days, nor ten days, nor twenty days; --

20 а цял месец, докато ви излезе през носа и ви омръзне; защото отхвърлихте Господа, Който е между вас, и плакахте пред Него, като казахте: Защо излязохме от Египет?

unto a month of days, till that it come out from your nostrils, and it hath become to you an abomination; because that ye have loathed Jehovah, who in your midst, and weep before Him, saying, Why is this? -- we have come out of Egypt!'

21 М оисей отговори: Народът, сред който съм, са шестстотин хиляди пешаци; и Ти каза: Ще им дам да ядат месо цял месец.

And Moses saith, `Six hundred thousand footmen the people in whose midst I; and Thou, Thou hast said, Flesh I give to them, and they have eaten, a month of days!

22 Д а се изколят ли за тях овцете и говедата, за да им бъдат достатъчни? Или да им бъдат събрани всичките морски риби, за да им бъдат достатъчни?

Is flock and herd slaughtered for them, that one hath found for them? -- are all the fishes of the sea gathered for them -- that one hath found for them?'

23 А Господ отвърна на Моисей: Скъсила ли се е Господнята ръка? Сега ще видиш ще се сбъдне ли с тебе думата Ми или не.

And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Is the hand of Jehovah become short? now thou dost see whether My word meeteth thee or not.'

24 И така, Моисей излезе и каза на народа Господните думи; и събра седемдесет мъже от старейшините на народа и ги постави около шатъра.

And Moses goeth out, and speaketh unto the people the words of Jehovah, and gathereth seventy men of the elders of the people, and causeth them to stand round about the tent,

25 Т огава Господ слезе в облака и говорѝ с него, и като взе от духа, който беше на него, сложи го на седемдесетте старейшини; и като застана на тях духът, пророкуваха, но не повториха.

and Jehovah cometh down in the cloud, and speaketh unto him, and keepeth back of the Spirit which on him, and putteth on the seventy men of the elders; and it cometh to pass at the resting of the Spirit on them, that they prophesy, and do not cease.

26 О баче двама от мъжете бяха останали в стана - името на единия от тях беше Елдад, а името на другия Модад, и на тях застана духът; те бяха от записаните, но не бяха отишли до шатъра; и пророкуваха в стана.

And two of the men are left in the camp, the name of the one Eldad, and the name of the second Medad, and the spirit resteth upon them, (and they are among those written, and have not gone out to the tent), and they prophesy in the camp;

27 И едно момче се завтече и извести на Моисей: Елдад и Модад пророкуват в стана.

and the young man runneth, and declareth to Moses, and saith, `Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp.'

28 Т огава Исус, Навиновият син, служителят на Моисей, един от неговите избрани, проговори: Господарю мой, Моисей, забранѝ им.

And Joshua son of Nun, minister of Moses, of his young men, answereth and saith, `My lord Moses, restrain them.'

29 А Моисей му отвърна: Завиждаш ли за мене? Дано целият Господен народ бъдат пророци, за да сложи Господ Духа Си на тях!

And Moses saith to him, `Art thou zealous for me? O that all Jehovah's people were prophets! that Jehovah would put His Spirit upon them!'

30 И Моисей отиде в стана, той и Израелевите старейшини.

And Moses is gathered unto the camp, he and the elders of Israel.

31 Т огава излезе вятър от Господа и докара от морето пъдпъдъци, и ги остави да слитат долу над стана, до един ден път от едната страна и до един ден път от другата страна, около стана; а те летяха до два лакътя над повърхността на земята.

And a spirit hath journeyed from Jehovah, and cutteth off quails from the sea, and leaveth by the camp, as a day's journey here, and as a day's journey there, round about the camp, and about two cubits, on the face of the land.

32 Т огава народът стана и събира пъдпъдъците целия онзи ден и цялата нощ, и целия следващ ден; онзи, който събра най-малко, събра десет кора; и те си ги простираха около стана.

And the people rise all that day, and all the night, and all the day after, and gather the quails -- he who hath least hath gathered ten homers -- and they spread them out for themselves round about the camp.

33 А докато месото беше още в зъбите им и не беше още сдъвкано, Господният гняв пламна против народа и Господ порази народа с много голяма напаст.

The flesh is yet between their teeth -- it is not yet cut off -- and the anger of Jehovah hath burned among the people, and Jehovah smiteth among the people -- a very great smiting;

34 И нарекоха това място Киврот-атаава, защото там бяха погребани лакомите хора.

and calleth the name of that place Kibroth-Hattaavah, for there they have buried the people who lust.

35 А от Киврот-атаава народът се вдигна за Асирот и остана в Асирот.

From Kibroth-Hattaavah have the people journeyed to Hazeroth, and they are in Hazeroth.
