1 И в дните на Юдейския цар Ахаз, син на Йотам, Озиевия син, сирийският цар Расин и Израелевият цар Факей, Ромелиевият син, излязоха против Йерусалим, за да воюват против него; но не можаха да го завладеят.

And it cometh to pass in the days of Ahaz, son of Jotham, son of Uzziah, king of Judah, gone up hath Rezin king of Aram, and Pekah, son of Remaliah, king of Israel, to Jerusalem, to battle against it, and he is not able to fight against it.

2 Т огава известиха на Давидовия дом: Сирия се съюзи с Ефрем. И сърцето на Ахаз, и сърцето на народа му се разклатиха, както горските дървета се разклащат от вятъра.

And it is declared to the house of David, saying, `Aram hath been led towards Ephraim,' And his heart and the heart of his people is moved, like the moving of trees of a forest by the presence of wind.

3 Т огава Господ каза на Исая: Излез сега да посрещнеш Ахаз, ти и синът ти Сеар-Ясув, при края на водопровода на горния водоем, по пътя към тепавичарската нива,

And Jehovah saith unto Isaiah, `Go forth, I pray thee, to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shear-Jashub thy son, unto the end of the conduit of the upper pool, unto the highway of the fuller's field,

4 и му кажи: Гледай да си спокоен; не се плаши, нито се показвай малодушен поради тези две опашки на димящи главни - поради яростния гняв на Расин и Сирия, и на Ромелиевия син.

and thou hast said unto him: `Take heed, and be quiet, fear not, And let not thy heart be timid, Because of these two tails of smoking brands, For the fierceness of the anger of Rezin and Aram, And the son of Remaliah.

5 П онеже Сирия, Ефрем и Ромелиевият син имаха лошо намерение против тебе, като казаха:

Because that Aram counselled against thee evil, Ephraim and the son of Remaliah, saying:

6 Д а излезем против Юдея и да я разорим, и да си пробием пролом в нея, и да поставим Тавиеловия син за цар над нея.

We go up into Judah, and we vex it, And we rend it unto ourselves, And we cause a king to reign in its midst -- The son of Tabeal.

7 З атова така казва Господ Йехова: Това няма да стане, нито ще бъде.

Thus said the Lord Jehovah: It doth not stand, nor shall it be!

8 З ащото главата на Сирия е Дамаск, а глава на Дамаск - Расин; и в течение на шестдесет и пет години Ефрем ще бъде съкрушен така, че вече да не е народ -

For the head of Aram Damascus, And the head of Damascus Rezin, And within sixty and five years Is Ephraim broken from a people.

9 Е фрем, чиято глава е Самария, а глава на Самария - Ромелиевият син. Ако не вярвате в това, вие няма да бъдете утвърдени.

And the head of Ephraim Samaria, And the head of Samaria the son of Remaliah. If ye do not give credence, Surely ye are not stedfast.'

10 И Господ говорѝ още на Ахаз:

And Jehovah addeth to speak unto Ahaz, saying:

11 П оискай си знамение от Господа, твоя Бог; искай го или в дълбината, или във висината горе.

`Ask for thee a sign from Jehovah thy God, Make deep the request, or make high upwards.'

12 Н о Ахаз отговори: Няма да искам, нито ще изпитам Господа.

And Ahaz saith, `I do not ask nor try Jehovah.'

13 А Исая каза: Слушайте сега, доме Давидов; малко нещо ли ви е да досаждате на хора, че ще досаждате и на моя Бог?

And he saith, `Hear, I pray you, O house of David, Is it a little thing for you to weary men, That ye weary also my God?

14 З атова сам Господ ще ви даде знамение: Ето, девица ще зачене и ще роди син, и ще го нарече Емануил.

Therefore the Lord Himself giveth to you a sign, Lo, the Virgin is conceiving, And is bringing forth a son, And hath called his name Immanuel,

15 С гъстено мляко и мед ще яде, когато се научи да отхвърля лошото и да избира доброто;

Butter and honey he doth eat, When he knoweth to refuse evil, and to fix on good.

16 з ащото, преди детето да се научи да отхвърля лошото и да избира доброто, тази земя, от чиито двама царе се отвращаваш ти, ще бъде изоставена.

For before the youth doth know To refuse evil, and to fix on good, Forsaken is the land thou art vexed with, because of her two kings.

17 Г оспод ще докара на тебе, на твоя народ и на бащиния ти дом такива дни, каквито не са идвали от деня, когато Ефрем се е отделил от Юда - ще докара асирийския цар.

Jehovah bringeth on thee, and on thy people, And on the house of thy father, Days that have not come, Even from the day of the turning aside of Ephraim from Judah, By the king of Asshur.

18 И в същия ден Господ ще призове мухите, които са в най-далечните околности на египетските реки, и пчелите, които са в асирийската земя;

And it hath come to pass, in that day, Jehovah doth hiss for a fly that in the extremity of the brooks of Egypt, And for a bee that in the land of Asshur.

19 и те ще дойдат и всичките ще накацат по запустелите долини и в дупките на канарите, и на всяка драка, и на всяко пасбище.

And they have come, and rested all of them in the desolate valleys, And in holes of the rocks, and on all the thorns, And on all the commendable things.

20 В този ден Господ ще обръсне с бръснач, нает оттатък реката, асирийския цар, главата и космите на краката - даже и брадата ще смъкне.

In that day doth the Lord shave, By a razor that is hired beyond the river, By the king of Asshur, The head, and the hair of the feet, Yea, also the beard it consumeth.

21 В същия ден човек, който храни крава и две овце,

And it hath come to pass, in that day, A man keepeth alive a heifer of the herd, And two of the flock,

22 щ е яде сгъстено мляко от изобилието на млякото, което ще дават; защото сгъстеното мляко и мед ще яде всеки, който е останал в страната.

And it hath come to pass, From the abundance of the yielding of milk he eateth butter, For butter and honey doth every one eat Who is left in the heart of the land.

23 И в онзи ден всяко място, където е имало хиляда лози по хиляда сребърника, ще бъде за глогове и тръни.

And it hath come to pass, in that day, Every place where there are a thousand vines, At a thousand silverlings, Is for briers and for thorns.

24 С ъс стрели и лъкове ще дойдат хора там, защото цялата страна ще стане само глогове и тръни.

With arrows and with bow he cometh thither, Because all the land is brier and thorn.

25 П оради страх от глогове и тръни ти няма да дойдеш на никой хълм, копан сега с търнокоп, а ще бъде място, на което ще изпращаш говеда и което ще тъпчат овце.

And all the hills that with a mattock are kept in order, Thither cometh not the fear of brier and thorn, And it hath been for the sending forth of ox, And for the treading of sheep!'
