1 S álvame, oh Dios, porque las aguas han entrado hasta el alma.

2 E stoy hundido en cieno profundo, donde no hay pie; soy venido en profundos de aguas, y la corriente me ha anegado.

I have sunk in deep mire, And there is no standing, I have come into the depths of the waters, And a flood hath overflown me.

3 H e trabajado llamando, mi garganta se ha enronquecido; han desfallecido mis ojos esperando a mi Dios.

I have been wearied with my calling, Burnt hath been my throat, Consumed have been mine eyes, waiting for my God.

4 S e han aumentado más que los cabellos de mi cabeza los que me aborrecen sin causa; se han fortalecido mis enemigos, los que me destruyen sin por qué; entonces devolví lo que no hurté.

Those hating me without cause Have been more than the hairs of my head, Mighty have been my destroyers, My lying enemies, That which I took not away -- I bring back.

5 D ios, tú sabes mi locura; y mis delitos no te son ocultos.

O God, Thou -- Thou hast known Concerning my overturn, And my desolations from Thee have not been hid.

6 N o sean avergonzados por mi causa los que te esperan, oh Señor DIOS de los ejércitos; no sean confusos por mí los que te buscan, oh Dios de Israel.

Let not those waiting on Thee be ashamed because of me, O Lord, Jehovah of Hosts, Let not those seeking Thee Blush because of me, O God of Israel.

7 P orque por ti he sufrido afrenta; confusión ha cubierto mi rostro.

For because of Thee I have borne reproach, Shame hath covered my face.

8 H e sido extrañado de mis hermanos, y extraño a los hijos de mi madre.

A stranger I have been to my brother, And a foreigner to sons of my mother.

9 P orque me consumió el celo de tu Casa; y los denuestos de los que te vituperaban, cayeron sobre mí.

For zeal for Thy house hath consumed me, And the reproaches of Thy reproachers Have fallen upon me.

10 Y lloré con ayuno de mi alma; y me has sido por afrenta.

And I weep in the fasting of my soul, And it is for a reproach to me.

11 P use además cilicio por mi vestido; y vine a serles por proverbio.

And I make my clothing sackcloth, And I am to them for a simile.

12 H ablaban contra mí los que se sentaban a la puerta, y me zaherían en las canciones de los bebedores de sidra.

Those sitting at the gate meditate concerning me, And those drinking strong drink, Play on instruments.

13 ¶ Pero yo enderezaba mi oración a ti, oh SEÑOR, al tiempo de la buena voluntad. Oh Dios, por la multitud de tu misericordia, por la verdad de tu salud, óyeme.

And I -- my prayer to Thee, O Jehovah, A time of good pleasure, O God, In the abundance of Thy kindness, Answer me in the truth of Thy salvation.

14 S ácame del lodo, y no sea yo anegado; sea yo libertado de los que me aborrecen, y de lo profundo de las aguas.

Deliver me from the mire, and let me not sink, Let me be delivered from those hating me, And from deep places of waters.

15 N o me anegue el ímpetu de las aguas, ni me trague la hondura, ni el pozo cierre sobre mí su boca.

Let not a flood of waters overflow me, Nor let the deep swallow me up, Nor let the pit shut her mouth upon me.

16 O yeme, SEÑOR, porque apacible es tu misericordia; mírame conforme a la multitud de tus miseraciones.

Answer me, O Jehovah, for good Thy kindness, According to the abundance Of Thy mercies turn Thou unto me,

17 Y no escondas tu rostro de tu siervo; porque estoy angustiado; apresúrate, óyeme.

And hide not Thy face from Thy servant, For I am in distress -- haste, answer me.

18 A cércate a mi alma, redímela; líbrame a causa de mis enemigos.

Be near unto my soul -- redeem it, Because of mine enemies ransom me.

19 T ú sabes mi afrenta, y mi confusión, y mi oprobio; delante de ti están todos mis enemigos.

Thou -- Thou hast known my reproach, And my shame, and my blushing, Before Thee all mine adversaries.

20 L a afrenta ha quebrantado mi corazón, y estoy acongojado; y esperé quién se compadeciera de mí, y no lo hubo; y consoladores, y ninguno hallé.

Reproach hath broken my heart, and I am sick, And I look for a bemoaner, and there is none, And for comforters, and I have found none.

21 M e pusieron además hiel por comida, y en mi sed me dieron a beber vinagre.

And they give for my food gall, And for my thirst cause me to drink vinegar.

22 ¶ Sea su mesa delante de ellos por lazo, y lo que es para prosperidad les sea por tropiezo.

Their table before them is for a snare, And for a recompence -- for a trap.

23 S ean oscurecidos sus ojos para ver, y haz siempre titubear sus lomos.

Darkened are their eyes from seeing, And their loins continually shake Thou.

24 D errama sobre ellos tu ira, y el furor de tu enojo los alcance.

Pour upon them Thine indignation, And the fierceness of Thine anger doth seize them.

25 S ea su palacio asolado; en sus tiendas no haya morador.

Their tower is desolated, In their tents there is no dweller.

26 P orque persiguieron al que tú heriste; y se jactan que les matas sus enemigos.

For they have pursued him Thou hast smitten, And recount of the pain of Thy pierced ones.

27 P on iniquidad sobre su iniquidad, y no entren en tu justicia.

Give punishment for their iniquity, And they enter not into Thy righteousness.

28 S ean raídos del libro de los vivientes, y no sean escritos con los justos.

They are blotted out of the book of life, And with the righteous are not written.

29 Y yo pobre y dolorido, tu salud, oh Dios, me defenderá.

And I afflicted and pained, Thy salvation, O God, doth set me on high.

30 ¶ Yo alabaré el Nombre de Dios con canción; lo ensalzaré con alabanza.

I praise the name of God with a song, And I magnify Him with thanksgiving,

31 Y agradará al SEÑOR más que sacrificio de buey, o becerro que echa cuernos y pezuñas.

And it is better to Jehovah than an ox, A bullock -- horned -- hoofed.

32 L o verán los humildes, y se gozarán; buscad a Dios, y vivirá vuestro corazón.

The humble have seen -- they rejoice, Ye who seek God -- and your heart liveth.

33 P orque el SEÑOR oye a los menesterosos, y no menosprecia a sus prisioneros.

For Jehovah hearkeneth unto the needy, And His bound ones He hath not despised.

34 A lábenlo los cielos y la tierra, los mares, y todo lo que se mueve en ellos.

The heavens and earth do praise Him, Seas, and every moving thing in them.

35 P orque Dios guardará a Sion, y reedificará las ciudades de Judá; y habitarán allí, y la heredarán.

For God doth save Zion, And doth build the cities of Judah, And they have dwelt there, and possess it.

36 Y la simiente de sus siervos la heredará, y los que aman su Nombre habitarán en ella.

And the seed of His servants inherit it, And those loving His name dwell in it!
