1 ¶ Alabad al SEÑOR, invocad su Nombre; haced notorias sus obras en los pueblos.

Give ye thanks to Jehovah -- call ye in His name, Make known among the peoples His acts.

2 C antadle, decid salmos a él; hablad de todas sus maravillas.

Sing ye to Him -- sing praise to Him, Meditate ye on all His wonders.

3 G loriaos en su Nombre santo; alégrese el corazón de los que buscan al SEÑOR.

Boast yourselves in His Holy Name, The heart of those seeking Jehovah rejoiceth.

4 B uscad al SEÑOR, y su fortaleza; buscad su rostro siempre.

Seek ye Jehovah and His strength, Seek ye His face continually.

5 A cordaos de sus maravillas que hizo, de sus prodigios y de los juicios de su boca,

Remember His wonders that He did, His signs and the judgments of His mouth.

6 o h vosotros, simiente de Abraham su siervo, hijos de Jacob, sus escogidos.

O seed of Abraham, His servant, O sons of Jacob, His chosen ones.

7 E l es el SEÑOR nuestro Dios; en toda la tierra son sus juicios.

He Jehovah our God, In all the earth His judgments.

8 ¶ Se acordó para siempre de su alianza; de la palabra que mandó para mil generaciones,

He hath remembered to the age His covenant, The word He commanded to a thousand generations,

9 l a cual concertó con Abraham; y de su juramento a Isaac.

That He hath made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac,

10 Y la estableció a Jacob por decreto, a Israel por pacto eterno,

And doth establish it to Jacob for a statute, To Israel -- a covenant age-during,

11 d iciendo: A ti te daré la tierra de Canaán por cordel de vuestra heredad.

Saying, `To thee I give the land of Canaan, The portion of your inheritance,'

12 E sto siendo ellos pocos hombres en número, y extranjeros en ella.

In their being few in number, But a few, and sojourners in it.

13 Y anduvieron de gente en gente, de un reino a otro pueblo.

And they go up and down, from nation unto nation, From a kingdom unto another people.

14 N o consintió que hombre los agraviara; y por causa de ellos castigó los reyes.

He hath not suffered any to oppress them And He reproveth for their sakes kings.

15 D iciendo: No toquéis a mis ungidos, ni hagáis mal a mis profetas.

`Strike not against Mine anointed, And to My prophets do not evil.'

16 Y llamó al hambre sobre la tierra, y quebrantó toda fuerza de pan.

And He calleth a famine on the land, The whole staff of bread He hath broken.

17 E nvió un varón delante de ellos, a José, que fue vendido por siervo.

He hath sent before them a man, For a servant hath Joseph been sold.

18 A fligieron sus pies con grillos; en hierro fue puesta su alma.

They have afflicted with fetters his feet, Iron hath entered his soul,

19 H asta la hora que llegó su palabra, el dicho del SEÑOR le purificó.

Till the time of the coming of His word The saying of Jehovah hath tried him.

20 E nvió el rey, y le soltó; el señor de los pueblos, y le desató.

The king hath sent, and looseth him, The ruler of the peoples, and draweth him out.

21 L o puso por señor de su casa, y por enseñoreador en toda su posesión;

He hath made him lord of his house, And ruler over all his possessions.

22 p ara echar presos sus príncipes como él quisiera, y enseñó sabiduría a sus ancianos.

To bind his chiefs at his pleasure, And his elders he maketh wise.

23 D espués entró Israel en Egipto, y Jacob fue extranjero en la tierra de Cam.

And Israel cometh in to Egypt, And Jacob hath sojourned in the land of Ham.

24 Y multiplicó su pueblo en gran manera, y lo hizo más fuerte que sus enemigos.

And He maketh His people very fruitful, And maketh it mightier than its adversaries.

25 ¶ Volvió el corazón de ellos para que aborrecieran a su pueblo, para que pensaran mal contra sus siervos.

He turned their heart to hate His people, To conspire against His servants.

26 E nvió a su siervo Moisés, y a Aarón al cual escogió.

He hath sent Moses His servant, Aaron whom He had fixed on.

27 P uso en ellos las palabras de sus señales, y sus prodigios en la tierra de Cam.

They have set among them the matters of His signs, And wonders in the land of Ham.

28 E chó tinieblas, e hizo oscuridad; y no fueron rebeldes a su palabra.

He hath sent darkness, and it is dark, And they have not provoked His word.

29 V olvió sus aguas en sangre, y mató sus peces.

He hath turned their waters to blood, And putteth to death their fish.

30 E ngendró ranas su tierra, ranas en las camas de sus mismos reyes.

Teemed hath their land frogs, In the inner chambers of their kings.

31 D ijo, y vinieron enjambres de moscas, y piojos en todo su término.

He hath said, and the beetle cometh, Lice into all their border.

32 V olvió sus lluvias en granizo; en fuego de llamas en su tierra.

He hath made their showers hail, A flaming fire in their land.

33 E hirió sus viñas y sus higueras, y quebró los árboles de su término.

And He smiteth their vine and their fig, And shivereth the trees of their border.

34 D ijo, y vinieron langostas, y pulgón sin número;

He hath said, and the locust cometh, And the cankerworm -- innumerable,

35 y comieron toda la hierba de su tierra, y comieron el fruto de su tierra.

And it consumeth every herb in their land, And it consumeth the fruit of their ground.

36 H irió además a todos los primogénitos en su tierra, el principio de toda su fuerza.

And He smiteth every first-born in their land, The first-fruit of all their strength,

37 Y los sacó con plata y oro; y no hubo en sus tribus enfermo.

And bringeth them out with silver and gold, And there is not in its tribes a feeble one.

38 E gipto se alegró en su salida; porque había caído sobre ellos su terror.

Rejoiced hath Egypt in their going forth, For their fear had fallen upon them.

39 E xtendió una nube por cubierta, y fuego para alumbrar la noche.

He hath spread a cloud for a covering, And fire to enlighten the night.

40 P idieron, e hizo venir codornices; y de pan del cielo los sació.

They have asked, and He bringeth quails, And bread of heaven satisfieth them.

41 A brió la peña, y corrieron aguas; fluyeron por los secadales un río.

He hath opened a rock, and waters issue, They have gone on in dry places -- a river.

42 P orque se acordó de su santa palabra con Abraham su siervo.

For He hath remembered His holy word, With Abraham His servant,

43 Y sacó a su pueblo con gozo; con júbilo a sus escogidos.

And He bringeth forth His people with joy, With singing His chosen ones.

44 Y les dio las tierras de los gentiles; y las labores de las naciones heredaron,

And He giveth to them the lands of nations, And the labour of peoples they possess,

45 p ara que guardaran sus estatutos, y observaran sus leyes. Alelu-JAH.

That they may observe His statutes, And His laws may keep. Praise ye Jehovah!
