1 Y oyendo la reina de Sabá la fama de Salomón en el nombre del SEÑOR, vino a tentarle con enigmas.

And the queen of Sheba is hearing of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of Jehovah, and cometh to try him with enigmas,

2 Y vino a Jerusalén con muy grande ejército, con camellos cargados de especias, y oro en gran abundancia, y piedras preciosas; y cuando vino a Salomón, le propuso todo lo que tenía en su corazón.

and she cometh to Jerusalem, with a very great company, camels bearing spices, and very much gold, and precious stone, and she cometh unto Solomon, and speaketh unto him all that hath been with her heart.

3 Y Salomón le declaró todas sus preguntas; ninguna cosa se le escondió al rey, que no le declarara.

And Solomon declareth to her all her matters -- there hath not been a thing hid from the king that he hath not declared to her.

4 Y cuando la reina de Sabá vio toda la sabiduría de Salomón, y la Casa que había edificado,

And the queen of Sheba seeth all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he built,

5 a simismo la comida de su mesa, el asiento de sus siervos, el estado y los vestidos de los que le servían, sus maestresalas, y sus holocaustos que sacrificaba en la Casa del SEÑOR, no hubo más espíritu en ella.

and the food of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the standing of his ministers, and their clothing, and his butlers, and his burnt-offering that he causeth to ascend in the house of Jehovah, and there hath not been in her any more spirit.

6 Y dijo al rey: Verdad es lo que oí en mi tierra de tus palabras y de tu sabiduría;

And she saith unto the king, `True hath been the word that I heard in my land, concerning thy matters and thy wisdom;

7 m as yo no lo creía, hasta que he venido, y mis ojos han visto, que ni aun se me dijo la mitad. Tu sabiduría y bien es mayor que la fama que yo había oído.

and I gave no credence to the words till that I have come, and my eyes see, and lo, it was not declared to me -- the half; thou hast added wisdom and goodness unto the report that I heard.

8 B ienaventurados tus varones, bienaventurados éstos tus siervos, que están continuamente delante de ti, y oyen tu sabiduría.

O the happiness of thy men, O the happiness of thy servants -- these -- who are standing before thee continually, who are hearing thy wisdom!

9 E l SEÑOR tu Dios sea bendito, que se agradó de ti para ponerte en el trono de Israel; porque el SEÑOR ha amado siempre a Israel, y te ha puesto por rey, para que hagas derecho y justicia.

Jehovah thy God is blessed who delighted in thee, to put thee on the throne of Israel; in Jehovah's loving Israel to the age He doth set thee for king, to do judgment and righteousness.

10 Y dio la reina al rey ciento veinte talentos de oro, y muchísima especiería, y piedras preciosas; nunca vino después tan grande copia de especias, como la reina de Sabá dio al rey Salomón.

And she giveth to the king a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and spices very many, and precious stone; there came not like that spice any more for abundance that the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.

11 L a flota de Hiram que había traído el oro de Ofir, traía también de Ofir mucha madera de brasil, y piedras preciosas.

And also, the navy of Hiram that bore gold from Ophir, brought in from Ophir almug-trees very many, and precious stone;

12 Y de la madera de brasil hizo el rey balaustres para la Casa del SEÑOR, y para las casas reales, y arpas y salterios para los cantores; nunca vino tanta madera de brasil, ni se ha visto hasta hoy.

and the king maketh the almug-trees a support for the house of Jehovah, and for the house of the king, and harps and psalteries for singers; there have not come such almug-trees, nor have there been seen unto this day.

13 Y el rey Salomón dio a la reina de Sabá todo lo que quiso, y todo lo que pidió, además de lo que Salomón le dio de su mano real. Y ella se volvió, y se fue a su tierra con sus criados.

And king Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire that she asked, apart from that which he gave to her as a memorial of king Solomon, and she turneth and goeth to her land, she and her servants.

14 ¶ El peso del oro que Salomón tenía de renta cada año, era seiscientos sesenta y seis talentos de oro;

And the weight of the gold that hath come to Solomon in one year is six hundred sixty and six talents of gold,

15 s in lo de los mercaderes, y de la contratación de especias, y de todos los reyes de Arabia, y de los príncipes de la tierra.

apart from the tourists, and of the traffic of the merchants, and of all the kings of Arabia, and of the governors of the land.

16 H izo también el rey Salomón doscientos paveses de oro extendido; seiscientos siclos de oro gastó en cada pavés.

And king Solomon maketh two hundred targets of alloyed gold -- six hundred of gold go up on the one target;

17 A simismo trescientos escudos de oro extendido, en cada uno de los cuales gastó tres libras de oro; y los puso el rey en la casa del bosque del Líbano.

and three hundred shields of alloyed gold -- three pounds of gold go up on the one shield; and the king putteth them the house of the forest of Lebanon.

18 ¶ Hizo también el rey un gran trono de marfil, el cual cubrió de oro purísimo.

And the king maketh a great throne of ivory, and overlayeth it with refined gold;

19 S eis gradas tenía el trono, y lo alto de él era redondo por el respaldo; y por un lado y por la otra tenía apoyos cerca del asiento, junto a los cuales estaban colocados dos leones.

six steps hath the throne, and a round top to the throne behind it, and hands on this and on that, unto the place of the sitting, and two lions are standing near the hands,

20 E staban también doce leones puestos allí sobre las seis gradas, de un lado y del otro; en ningún otro reino se había hecho trono semejante.

and twelve lions are standing there on the six steps, on this and on that; it hath not been made so for any kingdom.

21 Y todos los vasos de beber del rey Salomón eran de oro, y asimismo toda la vajilla de la casa del bosque del Líbano era de oro fino; no había plata; porque en tiempo de Salomón no era de estima.

And all the drinking vessels of king Solomon of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon of refined gold -- there are none of silver; it was not reckoned in the days of Solomon for anything,

22 P orque el rey tenía la flota del mar en Tarsis, con la flota de Hiram. Una vez cada tres años venía la flota de Tarsis, y traía oro, plata, marfil, monos y pavos.

for a navy of Tarshish hath the king at sea with a navy of Hiram; once in three years cometh the navy of Tarshish, bearing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.

23 Y excedía el rey Salomón a todos los reyes de la tierra así en riquezas como en sabiduría.

And king Solomon is greater than any of the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom,

24 T oda la tierra procuraba ver la cara de Salomón, para oír su sabiduría, la cual Dios había puesto en su corazón.

and all the earth is seeking the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom that God hath put into his heart,

25 Y todos le llevaban cada año sus presentes: vasos de oro, vasos de plata, vestidos, armas, especiería, caballos y mulos.

and they are bringing each his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and armour, and spices, horses, and mules, the matter of a year in a year.

26 Y juntó Salomón carros y gente de a caballo; y tenía mil cuatrocientos carros, y doce mil jinetes, los cuales puso en las ciudades de los carros, y con el rey en Jerusalén.

And Solomon gathereth chariots, and horsemen, and he hath a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, and he placeth them in the cities of the chariot, and with the king in Jerusalem.

27 Y el rey hizo que en Jerusalén la plata llegara a ser como piedras, y cedros como los cabrahigos que están por los valles en abundancia.

And the king maketh the silver in Jerusalem as stones, and the cedars he hath made as the sycamores that in the low country, for abundance.

28 Y sacaban caballos y lienzos a Salomón de Egipto; porque la compañía de los mercaderes del rey compraban caballos y lienzos.

And the outgoing of the horses that king Solomon hath from Egypt, and from Keveh; merchants of the king take from Keveh at a price;

29 Y venía y salía de Egipto, el carro por seiscientas piezas de plata, y el caballo por ciento cincuenta; y así los suministraban por mano de ellos a todos los reyes de los heteos, y de Siria.

and a chariot cometh up and cometh out of Egypt for six hundred silverlings, and a horse for fifty and a hundred, and so for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Aram; by their hand they bring out.
