1 О Боже, зачем Ты навсегда отверг нас? Почему гнев Твой возгорелся на овец пастбищ Твоих?

An Instruction of Asaph. Why, O God, hast Thou cast off for ever? Thine anger smoketh against the flock of Thy pasture.

2 В спомни народ, который Ты приобрел с давних времен, который Ты искупил, чтобы он был Твоим наследием; вспомни гору Сион, на которой Ты обитаешь.

Remember Thy company. Thou didst purchase of old, Thou didst redeem the rod of Thy inheritance, This mount Zion -- Thou didst dwell in it.

3 Н аправь Свои шаги к вековым развалинам – все разрушил враг во святилище!

Lift up Thy steps to the perpetual desolations, Everything the enemy did wickedly in the sanctuary.

4 В раги Твои рычали посреди собрания Твоего, установили там свои знамена.

Roared have thine adversaries, In the midst of Thy meeting-places, They have set their ensigns as ensigns.

5 О ни размахивали своими топорами, как дровосеки в густом лесу,

He is known as one bringing in on high Against a thicket of wood -- axes.

6 б ез остатка разрушили резные стены их секиры и бердыши.

And now, its carvings together With axe and hatchet they break down,

7 О ни сожгли святилище Твое дотла, осквернили они жилище Имени Твоего.

They have sent into fire Thy sanctuary, to the earth they polluted the tabernacle of Thy name,

8 Р ешили они в сердце своем: «Уничтожим их полностью» и по всей стране сожгли все места, где поклонялись мы Тебе.

They said in their hearts, `Let us oppress them together,' They did burn all the meeting-places of God in the land.

9 З намений не видят наши глаза, и не осталось пророков, нет никого, кто знал бы, когда этому наступит конец.

Our ensigns we have not seen, There is no more a prophet, Nor with us is one knowing how long.

10 О Боже, как долго еще будет враг глумиться, и вечно ли будет противник оскорблять Твое Имя?

Till when, O God, doth an adversary reproach? Doth an enemy despise thy name for ever?

11 П очему Ты убираешь назад Свою руку, Свою правую руку? Извлеки ее на них и порази их!

Why dost Thou turn back Thy hand, Even Thy right hand? From the midst of Thy bosom remove.

12 Б ог, мой Царь от начала, Ты принес спасение на землю.

And God my king of old, Working salvation in the midst of the earth.

13 Т ы разделил Своей силою море, Ты сокрушил головы морских чудовищ.

Thou hast broken by Thy strength a sea-, Thou hast shivered Heads of dragons by the waters,

14 Т ы сокрушил головы Левиафана, жителям пустынь отдав его в пищу.

Thou hast broken the heads of leviathan, Thou makest him food, For the people of the dry places.

15 Т ы иссек источник и поток, Ты иссушил бегущие реки.

Thou hast cleaved a fountain and a stream, Thou hast dried up perennial flowings.

16 Д ень и ночь – Твои; Ты создал солнце и луну.

Thine the day, also Thine the night, Thou hast prepared a light giver -- the sun.

17 Т ы определил границы земли, сотворил лето и зиму.

Thou hast set up all the borders of earth, Summer and winter Thou hast formed them.

18 В спомни, Господи, как глумится враг и как безумный народ оскорбляет Твое Имя.

Remember this -- an enemy reproached Jehovah, And a foolish people have despised Thy name.

19 Н е отдавай зверям душу Твоей горлицы; жизней Твоих страдальцев не забудь никогда.

Give not up to a company, The soul of Thy turtle-dove, The company of Thy poor ones forget not for ever.

20 В згляни на Свой завет, потому что насилие во всех темных уголках земли.

Look attentively to the covenant, For the dark places of earth, Have been full of habitations of violence.

21 Д а не возвратится угнетенный с позором; пусть бедный и нищий восхвалят Твое Имя.

Let not the oppressed turn back ashamed, Let the poor and needy praise Thy name,

22 В осстань, Боже, и защити Свое дело; вспомни, как глупец оскорбляет Тебя целый день.

Arise, O God, plead Thy plea, Remember Thy reproach from a fool all the day.

23 Н е забудь крика Своих врагов, шума, который непрестанно поднимают противники Твои.

Forget not the voice of Thine adversaries, The noise of Thy withstanders is going up continually!
