1 З акончив говорить это, Иисус сказал ученикам:

And it came to pass, when Jesus finished all these words, he said to his disciples,

2 – Вы знаете, что через два дня будет Пасха и Сына Человеческого отдадут на распятие.

`Ye have known that after two days the passover cometh, and the Son of Man is delivered up to be crucified.'

3 А во дворце первосвященника Кайафы в это время собрались первосвященники и старейшины народа.

Then were gathered together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, to the court of the chief priest who was called Caiaphas;

4 О ни решили хитростью схватить Иисуса и убить.

and they consulted together that they might take Jesus by guile, and kill,

5 – Только не во время Пасхи, – говорили они, – иначе народ может взбунтоваться. Женщина помазывает Иисуса драгоценным благовонием (Мк. 14: 3-9; Лк. 7: 37-38)

and they said, `Not in the feast, that there may not be a tumult among the people.'

6 И исус находился в Вифании, в доме Симона прокаженного.

And Jesus having been in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,

7 И когда Он возлежал за столом, к Нему подошла женщина с алебастровым кувшином, в котором было очень дорогое ароматическое масло, и возлила это масло Ему на голову.

there came to him a woman having an alabaster box of ointment, very precious, and she poured on his head as he is reclining (at meat).

8 У видев это, ученики рассердились: – Зачем такая трата?

And having seen, his disciples were much displeased, saying, `To what purpose this waste?

9 В едь это ароматическое масло можно было продать за большую сумму, а деньги раздать нищим.

for this ointment could have been sold for much, and given to the poor.'

10 Н о Иисус, зная, что они говорят, сказал им: – Что вы упрекаете женщину? Ведь она сделала для Меня доброе дело.

And Jesus having known, said to them, `Why do ye give trouble to the woman? for a good work she wrought for me;

11 П отому что нищие всегда с вами, а Я не всегда буду с вами.

for the poor always ye have with you, and me ye have not always;

12 В ылив на Меня это масло, она тем самым приготовила Меня к погребению.

for she having put this ointment on my body -- for my burial she did.

13 Г оворю вам истину: во всем мире, везде, где будет возвещена эта Радостная Весть, там в память об этой женщине будет рассказано и о том, что она сделала. Иуда Искариот решает предать Иисуса (Мк. 14: 10-11; Лк. 22: 3-6)

Verily I say to you, Wherever this good news may be proclaimed in the whole world, what this did shall also be spoken of -- for a memorial of her.'

14 З атем Иуда Искариот, один из двенадцати учеников, пошел к первосвященникам

Then one of the twelve, who is called Judas Iscariot, having gone unto the chief priests, said,

15 с предложением. – Что вы мне дадите, если я предам вам Иисуса? – спросил он их. Те отсчитали ему тридцать серебряных монет.

`What are ye willing to give me, and I will deliver him up to you?' and they weighed out to him thirty silverlings,

16 И с того момента Иуда стал искать удобного случая, чтобы предать Его. Ученики готовятся к пасхальному ужину (Мк. 14: 12-16; Лк. 22: 7-13)

and from that time he was seeking a convenient season to deliver him up.

17 В первый день праздника Пресных хлебов ученики спросили Иисуса: – Где нам приготовить Тебе пасхальный ужин ?

And on the first of the unleavened food came the disciples near to Jesus, saying to him, `Where wilt thou we may prepare for thee to eat the passover?'

18 И исус ответил: – Идите в город к такому-то и скажите ему: «Учитель говорит, что Его время уже подошло, и Он хочет в твоем доме отпраздновать Пасху со Cвоими учениками».

and he said, `Go away to the city, unto such a one, and say to him, The Teacher saith, My time is nigh; near thee I keep the passover, with my disciples;'

19 У ченики сделали все, как им велел Иисус, и приготовили пасхальный ужин. Последний ужин Иисуса с учениками (Мк. 14: 17-25; Лк. 22: 17-23; 1 Кор. 11: 23-25)

and the disciples did as Jesus appointed them, and prepared the passover.

20 В ечером Иисус и двенадцать учеников возлегли у стола.

And evening having come, he was reclining (at meat) with the twelve,

21 К огда они ели, Иисус сказал: – Говорю вам истину: один из вас предаст Меня.

and while they are eating, he said, `Verily I say to you, that one of you shall deliver me up.'

22 У ченики сильно опечалились и один за другим стали спрашивать Его: – Не я ли, Господи?

And being grieved exceedingly, they began to say to him, each of them, `Is it I, Sir?'

23 А Иисус сказал: – Тот, кто опустил руку в блюдо вместе со Мной, тот предаст Меня.

And he answering said, `He who did dip with me the hand in the dish, he will deliver me up;

24 Х отя Сын Человеческий уходит так, как о Нем сказано в Писании, но горе тому человеку, кто предает Сына Человеческого! Лучше бы ему вообще не родиться.

the Son of Man doth indeed go, as it hath been written concerning him, but wo to that man through whom the Son of Man is delivered up! good it were for him if that man had not been born.'

25 Т огда Иуда, предатель, тоже спросил: – Не я ли, Рабби? – Ты сам это сказал, – ответил Иисус.

And Judas -- he who delivered him up -- answering said, `Is it I, Rabbi?' He saith to him, `Thou hast said.'

26 К огда они ели, Иисус взял хлеб и, благословив, разломил его, дал Своим ученикам со словами: – Возьмите и ешьте, это Мое тело.

And while they were eating, Jesus having taken the bread, and having blessed, did brake, and was giving to the disciples, and said, `Take, eat, this is my body;'

27 З атем Он взял чашу, поблагодарил за нее Бога и, подав им, сказал: – Пейте из нее все.

and having taken the cup, and having given thanks, he gave to them, saying, `Drink ye of it -- all;

28 Э то Моя кровь завета, проливаемая за многих людей для прощения грехов.

for this is my blood of the new covenant, that for many is being poured out -- to remission of sins;

29 Г оворю вам, что Я уже не буду пить от плода виноградного до того дня, когда Я буду пить с вами новое вино в Царстве Моего Отца. Иисус предсказывает отречение Петра (Мк. 14: 26-31; Лк. 22: 33-34; Ин. 13: 37-38)

and I say to you, that I may not drink henceforth on this produce of the vine, till that day when I may drink it with you new in the reign of my Father.'

30 О ни спели и пошли на Масличную гору.

And having sung a hymn, they went forth to the mount of the Olives;

31 Т огда Иисус сказал им: – В эту ночь вы все отступитесь от Меня, ведь написано: «Я поражу Пастуха, и разбегутся овцы стада».

then saith Jesus to them, `All ye shall be stumbled at me this night; for it hath been written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad;

32 Н о когда Я воскресну, то пойду в Галилею и буду ждать вас там.

but, after my having risen, I will go before you to Galilee.'

33 П етр ответил: – Даже если все Тебя оставят, я этого никогда не сделаю.

And Peter answering said to him, `Even if all shall be stumbled at thee, I will never be stumbled.'

34 – Говорю тебе истину, – сказал ему Иисус, – в эту ночь, прежде чем пропоет петух, ты трижды отречешься от Меня.

Jesus said to him, `Verily I say to thee, that, this night, before cock-crowing, thrice thou wilt deny me.'

35 Н о Петр уверял: – Даже если мне придется умереть с Тобой, я никогда не откажусь от Тебя. То же самое говорили и все ученики. Молитва Иисуса в Гефсиманском саду (Мк. 14: 32-42; Лк. 22: 39-46)

Peter saith to him, `Even if it may be necessary for me to die with thee, I will not deny thee;' in like manner also said all the disciples.

36 И исус пришел с ними на место, называемое Гефсимания, и сказал ученикам: – Посидите здесь, а Я пойду и помолюсь.

Then come with them doth Jesus to a place called Gethsemane, and he saith to the disciples, `Sit ye here, till having gone away, I shall pray yonder.'

37 О н взял с Собой Петра и двух сыновей Зеведея. Его охватили тоска и тревога.

And having taken Peter, and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be sorrowful, and to be very heavy;

38 Т огда Он сказал им: – Душа Моя объята смертельной печалью. Побудьте здесь и бодрствуйте со Мной.

then saith he to them, `Exceedingly sorrowful is my soul -- unto death; abide ye here, and watch with me.'

39 О тойдя немного, Иисус пал на лицо Свое и молился: – Отец Мой, если возможно, то пусть минует Меня эта чаша, но пусть будет все не как Я хочу, а как Ты хочешь.

And having gone forward a little, he fell on his face, praying, and saying, `My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as Thou.'

40 З атем Он возвратился к ученикам и нашел их спящими. – Неужели вы даже часу не могли пободрствовать вместе со Мной? – спросил Он Петра. –

And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them sleeping, and he saith to Peter, `So! ye were not able one hour to watch with me!

41 Б одрствуйте и молитесь, чтобы вам не поддаться искушению. Дух бодр, но тело слабо.

watch, and pray, that ye may not enter into temptation: the spirit indeed is forward, but the flesh weak.'

42 И во второй раз Он ушел и молился: – Отец Мой, если невозможно, чтобы эта чаша миновала Меня и чтобы Мне не пить из нее, то пусть все будет по Твоей воле.

Again, a second time, having gone away, he prayed, saying, `My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from me except I drink it, Thy will be done;'

43 К огда Он вернулся, ученики опять спали, потому что их веки отяжелели.

and having come, he findeth them again sleeping, for their eyes were heavy.

44 И , оставив их, Иисус отошел и стал молиться в третий раз теми же словами.

And having left them, having gone away again, he prayed a third time, saying the same word;

45 З атем Он возвратился к ученикам и сказал им: – Вы все спите и отдыхаете? Вот, время настало, и Сын Человеческий предается в руки грешников.

then cometh he unto his disciples, and saith to them, `Sleep on henceforth, and rest! lo, the hour hath come nigh, and the Son of Man is delivered up to the hands of sinners.

46 В ставайте, идем. Вот уже и Мой предатель приблизился. Иисус предан и арестован (Мк. 14: 43-50; Лк. 22: 47-53; Ин. 18: 3-11)

Rise, let us go; lo, he hath come nigh who is delivering me up.'

47 О н еще говорил, как подошел Иуда, один из Его двенадцати учеников, и с ним большая толпа, вооруженная мечами и кольями. Их послали первосвященники и старейшины народа.

And while he is yet speaking, lo, Judas, one of the twelve did come, and with him a great multitude, with swords and sticks, from the chief priests and elders of the people.

48 П редатель так условился с ними: – Хватайте Того, Кого я поцелую.

And he who did deliver him up did give them a sign, saying, `Whomsoever I will kiss, it is he: lay hold on him;'

49 П одойдя сразу же к Иисусу, Иуда сказал: – Здравствуй, Рабби! – и поцеловал Его.

and immediately, having come to Jesus, he said, `Hail, Rabbi,' and kissed him;

50 И исус же сказал ему: – Друг, делай то, для чего пришел. Тут подошли люди и, схватив Иисуса, взяли Его под стражу.

and Jesus said to him, `Comrade, for what art thou present?' Then having come near, they laid hands on Jesus, and took hold on him.

51 Т огда один из тех, кто был с Иисусом, вытащил меч, ударил слугу первосвященника и отсек ему ухо.

And lo, one of those with Jesus, having stretched forth the hand, drew his sword, and having struck the servant of the chief priest, he took off his ear.

52 – Верни свой меч на место, – сказал ему Иисус. – Все, кто берется за меч, от меча и погибнут.

Then saith Jesus to him, `Turn back thy sword to its place; for all who did take the sword, by the sword shall perish;

53 Н еужели ты думаешь, что Я не мог бы упросить Моего Отца немедленно прислать Мне более двенадцати легионов ангелов?

dost thou think that I am not able now to call upon my Father, and He will place beside me more than twelve legions of messengers?

54 Н о как же тогда исполнится Писание, что все это должно произойти?

how then may the Writings be fulfilled, that thus it behoveth to happen?'

55 З атем Иисус обратился к толпе: – Что Я, разбойник, что вы пришли с мечами и кольями, чтобы арестовать Меня? Каждый день Я сидел и учил в храме, и вы не арестовали Меня.

In that hour said Jesus to the multitudes, `As against a robber ye did come forth, with swords and sticks, to take me! daily with you I was sitting teaching in the temple, and ye did not lay hold on me;

56 Н о все произошло именно так, чтобы исполнились писания пророков. Тогда все ученики оставили Его и убежали. Иисус на допросе у Кайафы (Мк. 14: 53-65; Лк. 22: 54-55, 63-71; Ин. 18: 12-13, 19-24)

but all this hath come to pass, that the Writings of the prophets may be fulfilled;' then all the disciples, having left him, fled.

57 А рестовавшие Иисуса привели Его к первосвященнику Кайафе, у которого уже собрались учители Закона и старейшины.

And those laying hold on Jesus led away unto Caiaphas the chief priest, where the scribes and the elders were gathered together,

58 П етр следовал за Иисусом на некотором расстоянии и прошел прямо во двор первосвященника. Войдя внутрь, он сел со стражниками, чтобы увидеть, чем все кончится.

and Peter was following him afar off, unto the court of the chief priest, and having gone in within, he was sitting with the officers, to see the end.

59 П ервосвященники и весь Высший Совет искали ложных показаний против Иисуса, чтобы приговорить Его к смерти.

And the chief priests, and the elders, and all the council, were seeking false witness against Jesus, that they might put him to death,

60 Н о они ничего не могли найти, хотя и пришло много лжесвидетелей. Наконец вышли два человека

and they did not find; and many false witnesses having come near, they did not find; and at last two false witnesses having come near,

61 и заявили: – Этот человек говорил: «Я могу разрушить Божий храм и восстановить его за три дня».

said, `This one said, I am able to throw down the sanctuary of God, and after three days to build it.'

62 Т огда первосвященник встал и спросил Иисуса: – Тебе нечего ответить на эти свидетельства против Тебя?

And the chief priest having stood up, said to him, `Nothing thou dost answer! what do these witness against thee?

63 И исус молчал. Первосвященник сказал Ему: – Я заклинаю Тебя живым Богом, скажи нам: Ты – Христос, Сын Божий?

and Jesus was silent. And the chief priest answering said to him, `I adjure thee, by the living God, that thou mayest say to us, if thou art the Christ -- the Son of God.'

64 – Ты сам так сказал, – ответил Иисус, – но говорю вам, что отныне вы увидите Сына Человеческого, сидящим по правую руку от Всемогущего и идущим на облаках небесных!

Jesus saith to him, `Thou hast said; nevertheless I say to you, hereafter ye shall see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of the power, and coming upon the clouds, of the heaven.'

65 Т огда первосвященник разорвал на себе одежду и сказал: – Он кощунствует! Какие нам еще нужны свидетели?! Вы теперь сами слышали кощунство!

Then the chief priest rent his garments, saying, -- `He hath spoken evil; what need have we yet of witnesses? lo, now ye heard his evil speaking;

66 К аково ваше решение? Они ответили: – Он виновен и заслуживает смерти.

what think ye?' and they answering said, `He is worthy of death.'

67 Т огда Иисусу стали плевать в лицо и бить Его кулаками, некоторые же били Его по щекам и

Then did they spit in his face and buffet him, and others did slap,

68 с прашивали: – Прореки нам, Христос, кто Тебя ударил? Отречение Петра (Мк. 14: 66-72; Лк. 22: 54-62; Ин. 18: 16-18, 25-27)

saying, `Declare to us, O Christ, who he is that struck thee?'

69 П етр же сидел снаружи, во дворе, когда к нему подошла служанка. – Ты тоже был с Иисусом Галилеянином, – сказала она.

And Peter without was sitting in the court, and there came near to him a certain maid, saying, `And thou wast with Jesus of Galilee!'

70 Н о Петр отрицал перед всеми: – Я не знаю, о чем ты говоришь.

And he denied before all, saying, `I have not known what thou sayest.'

71 К огда он отошел к воротам, его увидела другая служанка. Она сказала стоявшим рядом: – Этот человек был с Иисусом Назарянином.

And he having gone forth to the porch, another female saw him, and saith to those there, `And this one was with Jesus of Nazareth;'

72 П етр снова все отрицал, поклявшись, что он не знает Этого Человека.

and again did he deny with an oath -- `I have not known the man.'

73 Н о спустя немного времени стоявшие там люди подошли и сказали ему: – Точно, ты тоже один из них, тебя и говор твой выдает.

And after a little those standing near having come, said to Peter, `Truly thou also art of them, for even thy speech doth make thee manifest.'

74 Т огда Петр начал клясться и божиться: – Я не знаю Этого Человека! И тотчас пропел петух.

Then began he to anathematise, and to swear -- `I have not known the man;' and immediately did a cock crow,

75 И тогда Петр вспомнил слова Иисуса: «Прежде чем пропоет петух, ты трижды отречешься от Меня». И, выйдя наружу, он горько заплакал.

and Peter remembered the saying of Jesus, he having said to him -- `Before cock-crowing, thrice thou wilt deny me;' and having gone without, he did weep bitterly.
