1 П рошло два года, и фараону приснился сон: он стоял на берегу Нила,

And it cometh to pass, at the end of two years of days that Pharaoh is dreaming, and lo, he is standing by the River,

2 и вот из реки поднялись семь коров – гладких и жирных – и стали пастись в тростниках.

and lo, from the River coming up are seven kine, of fair appearance, and fat flesh, and they feed among the reeds;

3 В след за ними вышли из Нила другие семь коров – безобразных и тощих – и встали рядом с теми на берегу реки.

and lo, seven other kine are coming up after them out of the River, of bad appearance, and lean flesh, and they stand near the kine on the edge of the River,

4 И безобразные, тощие коровы пожрали семь гладких, жирных коров. Тут фараон проснулся.

and the kine of bad appearance and lean flesh eat up the seven kine of fair appearance, and fat -- and Pharaoh awaketh.

5 О н заснул вновь, и ему приснился другой сон: семь колосьев – здоровых и полных – росли на одном стебле.

And he sleepeth, and dreameth a second time, and lo, seven ears are coming up on one stalk, fat and good,

6 В след за ними выросли еще семь колосьев – тощих и опаленных восточным ветром.

and lo, seven ears, thin, and blasted with an east wind, are springing up after them;

7 Т ощие колосья проглотили семь здоровых, полных колосьев. Тут фараон проснулся: это был сон.

and the thin ears swallow the seven fat and full ears -- and Pharaoh awaketh, and lo, a dream.

8 У тром его не оставляла тревога. Он созвал всех чародеев и мудрецов Египта и рассказал им свои сны, но никто не смог их истолковать.

And it cometh to pass in the morning, that his spirit is moved, and he sendeth and calleth all the scribes of Egypt, and all its wise men, and Pharaoh recounteth to them his dream, and there is no interpreter of them to Pharaoh.

9 Т огда главный виночерпий сказал фараону: – Теперь я вспоминаю, что провинился.

And the chief of the butlers speaketh with Pharaoh, saying, `My sin I mention this day:

10 О днажды фараон разгневался на своих слуг и заключил меня и главного пекаря в доме начальника стражи.

Pharaoh hath been wroth against his servants, and giveth me into charge in the house of the chief of the executioners, me and the chief of the bakers;

11 И мне, и ему в одну и ту же ночь приснился сон, и каждый сон имел свое значение.

and we dream a dream in one night, I and he, each according to the interpretation of his dream we have dreamed.

12 Т ам с нами был молодой еврей, слуга начальника стражи. Мы рассказали ему наши сны, и он истолковал их нам; каждому он дал свое толкование.

And there with us a youth, a Hebrew, servant to the chief of the executioners, and we recount to him, and he interpreteth to us our dreams, each according to his dream hath he interpreted,

13 И как он истолковал, так все и вышло: меня возвратили на прежнюю службу, а того посадили на кол.

and it cometh to pass, as he hath interpreted to us so it hath been, me he put back on my station, and him he hanged.'

14 Ф араон послал за Иосифом, и его спешно привели из темницы. Он подстригся, сменил одежду и предстал перед фараоном.

And Pharaoh sendeth and calleth Joseph, and they cause him to run out of the pit, and he shaveth, and changeth his garments, and cometh in unto Pharaoh.

15 Ф араон сказал Иосифу: – Мне приснился сон, и никто не может его истолковать. Но я слышал о тебе, что ты понимаешь сны и умеешь толковать их.

And Pharaoh saith unto Joseph, `A dream I have dreamed, and there is no interpreter of it, and I -- I have heard concerning thee, saying, Thou understandest a dream to interpret it,'

16 И осиф ответил: – Не я, но Бог даст фараону ответ во благо.

and Joseph answereth Pharaoh, saying, `Without me -- God doth answer Pharaoh with peace.'

17 Ф араон сказал Иосифу: – Мне снилось, что я стою на берегу Нила,

And Pharaoh speaketh unto Joseph: `In my dream, lo, I am standing by the edge of the River,

18 и вдруг из реки поднялись семь коров, жирных и гладких, и стали пастись в тростниках.

and lo, out of the River coming up are seven kine, fat flesh, and of fair form, and they feed among the reeds;

19 В след за ними поднялись семь других коров – костлявых, худых и таких безобразных, каких я никогда прежде не видел во всей земле египетской.

and lo, seven other kine are coming up after them, thin, and of very bad form, and lean flesh; I have not seen like these in all the land of Egypt for badness.

20 Т ощие, безобразные коровы пожрали семь жирных коров, которые вышли первыми.

`And the lean and the bad kine eat up the first seven fat kine,

21 Н о это не пошло им впрок: они остались такими же безобразными, как и прежде. Тут я проснулся.

and they come in unto their midst, and it hath not been known that they have come in unto their midst, and their appearance bad as at the commencement; and I awake.

22 П отом я видел во сне семь колосьев на одном стебле, полных доброго зерна.

`And I see in my dream, and lo, seven ears are coming up on one stalk, full and good;

23 В след за ними выросли другие семь колосьев – сухие, тощие и опаленные восточным ветром.

and lo, seven ears, withered, thin, blasted with an east wind, are springing up after them;

24 Т ощие колосья проглотили семь полных колосьев. Я рассказал чародеям, но никто не смог дать мне объяснение.

and the thin ears swallow the seven good ears; and I tell unto the scribes, and there is none declaring to me.'

25 И осиф сказал фараону: – Смысл обоих снов фараона один. Бог открыл фараону, что Он собирается сделать.

And Joseph saith unto Pharaoh, `The dream of Pharaoh is one: that which God is doing he hath declared to Pharaoh;

26 С емь хороших коров – это семь лет, и семь хороших колосьев – это семь лет; смысл тот же.

the seven good kine are seven years, and the seven good ears are seven years, the dream is one;

27 С емь худых, безобразных коров, которые пришли следом – это семь лет, и так же – семь тощих колосьев, опаленных восточным ветром – это семь лет голода.

and the seven thin and bad kine which are coming up after them are seven years, and the seven empty ears, blasted with an east wind, are seven years of famine;

28 В от что я имел в виду, когда сказал фараону, что Бог открыл ему Свои замыслы.

this the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: That which God is doing, he hath shewn Pharaoh.

29 В земле египетской наступают семь лет великого изобилия,

`Lo, seven years are coming of great abundance in all the land of Egypt,

30 а за ними последуют семь лет голода, когда все изобилие в Египте будет забыто, и голод опустошит землю.

and seven years of famine have arisen after them, and all the plenty is forgotten in the land of Egypt, and the famine hath finished the land,

31 П режнее изобилие забудется в этой земле из-за голода, который последует за ним, потому что голод будет жестокий.

and the plenty is not known in the land because of that famine afterwards, for it very grievous.

32 А то, что сон повторился фараону дважды, означает, что Бог твердо определил это и вскоре исполнит Свой замысел.

`And because of the repeating of the dream unto Pharaoh twice, surely the thing is established by God, and God is hastening to do it.

33 П усть же фараон найдет проницательного и мудрого человека и поставит его над землей Египта.

`And now, let Pharaoh provide a man, intelligent and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt;

34 П усть фараон назначит чиновников по всей стране, чтобы они собирали пятую часть урожая в Египте в те семь лет изобилия.

let Pharaoh make and appoint overseers over the land, and receive a fifth of the land of Egypt in the seven years of plenty,

35 П усть в те добрые годы они собирают все продовольствие, что поступает к ним, и пусть властью фараона запасают зерно и хранят его в городах.

and they gather all the food of these good years that are coming, and heap up corn under the hand of Pharaoh -- food in the cities; and they have kept,

36 Э то продовольствие будет для страны про запас, чтобы страна не погибла в те семь лет голода, которые потом будут в Египте. Иосиф назначается главным правителем Египта

and the food hath been for a store for the land, for the seven years of famine which are in the land of Egypt; and the land is cut off by the famine.'

37 Ф араон и все его приближенные одобрили этот план.

And the thing is good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants,

38 Ф араон спросил приближенных: – Найдем ли мы еще такого, как этот человек, в котором Дух Бога? »

and Pharaoh saith unto his servants, `Do we find like this, a man in whom the spirit of God ?'

39 И фараон сказал Иосифу: – Раз Бог открыл тебе все это, значит, нет никого мудрее и проницательнее тебя.

and Pharaoh saith unto Joseph, `After God's causing thee to know all this, there is none intelligent and wise as thou;

40 Я ставлю тебя над моим домом, и весь мой народ будет слушаться твоих приказов. Только троном я буду выше тебя.

thou -- thou art over my house, and at thy mouth do all my people kiss; only in the throne I am greater than thou.'

41 Ф араон сказал Иосифу: – Смотри, я ставлю тебя над всей землей Египта.

And Pharaoh saith unto Joseph, `See, I have put thee over all the land of Egypt.'

42 О н снял с пальца свой перстень и надел на палец Иосифу, он одел его в одежды из тонкого полотна и повесил ему на шею золотую цепь.

And Pharaoh turneth aside his seal-ring from off his hand, and putteth it on the hand of Joseph, and clotheth him garments of fine linen, and placeth a chain of gold on his neck,

43 О н велел возить его в колеснице как второго после себя и кричать перед ним: «Дорогу!» Так он поставил его над всей землей Египта.

and causeth him to ride in the second chariot which he hath, and they proclaim before him, `Bow the knee!' and -- to put him over all the land of Egypt.

44 Ф араон сказал Иосифу: – Я фараон, но без твоего слова никто во всем Египте не посмеет и пальцем шевельнуть.

And Pharaoh saith unto Joseph, `I Pharaoh, and without thee a man doth not lift up his hand and his foot in all the land of Egypt;'

45 О н дал Иосифу имя Цафнат-Панеах и отдал ему в жены Асенефу, дочь Потифера, жреца города Она. И отправился Иосиф в путь по всей египетской земле.

and Pharaoh calleth Joseph's name Zaphnath-Paaneah, and he giveth to him Asenath daughter of Poti-Pherah, priest of On, for a wife, and Joseph goeth out over the land of Egypt.

46 И осифу было тридцать лет, когда он поступил на службу к фараону, царю Египта. Он вышел от фараона и отправился в путь по всему Египту.

And Joseph a son of thirty years in his standing before Pharaoh king of Egypt, and Joseph goeth out from the presence of Pharaoh, and passeth over through all the land of Egypt;

47 С емь лет изобилия земля приносила богатый урожай.

and the land maketh in the seven years of plenty by handfuls.

48 И осиф собирал весь урожай тех семи лет изобилия в Египте и складывал его в городах; в каждом городе он складывал урожай с окрестных полей.

And he gathereth all the food of the seven years which have been in the land of Egypt, and putteth food in the cities; the food of the field which round about city hath he put in its midst;

49 С обранного Иосифом зерна было как песка в море, и он перестал вести ему счет, потому что сосчитать его было невозможно.

and Joseph gathereth corn as sand of the sea, multiplying exceedingly, until that he hath ceased to number, for there is no number.

50 П режде чем пришли годы голода, у Иосифа родились два сына от Асенефы, дочери Потифера, жреца города Она.

And to Joseph were born two sons before the year of famine cometh, whom Asenath daughter of Poti-Pherah, priest of On, hath borne to him,

51 И осиф назвал своего первенца Манассия и сказал: «Это потому, что Бог дал мне забыть все мои страдания и дом моего отца».

and Joseph calleth the name of the first-born Manasseh: `for, God hath made me to forget all my labour, and all the house of my father;'

52 В торого сына он назвал Ефрем, сказав: «Это потому, что Бог сделал меня плодовитым в земле моего страдания».

and the name of the second he hath called Ephraim: `for, God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of mine affliction.'

53 С емь лет изобилия в Египте подошли к концу,

And the seven years of plenty are completed which have been in the land of Egypt,

54 и начались семь лет голода, как Иосиф и предсказал. Голод был во всех других землях, только в земле Египта была пища.

and the seven years of famine begin to come, as Joseph said, and famine is in all the lands, but in all the land of Egypt hath been bread;

55 К огда весь Египет начал голодать, люди взмолились к фараону о пище, и фараон сказал египтянам: – Идите к Иосифу и делайте, как он скажет.

and all the land of Egypt is famished, and the people crieth unto Pharaoh for bread, and Pharaoh saith to all the Egyptians, `Go unto Joseph; that which he saith to you -- do.'

56 К огда голод распространился по всей стране, Иосиф открыл склады и стал продавать зерно египтянам, потому что голод в Египте был жестокий.

And the famine has been over all the face of the land, and Joseph openeth all which have in them, and selleth to the Egyptians; and the famine is severe in the land of Egypt,

57 И з всех стран приходили в Египет, чтобы купить у Иосифа зерна, потому что по всему миру был жестокий голод.

and all the earth hath come to Egypt, to buy, unto Joseph, for the famine was severe in all the earth.
