1 A nd it cometh to pass, in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth of the month, come hath Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, he and all his force, against Jerusalem, and encampeth against it, and buildeth against it a fortification round about.

Y aconteció a los nueve años de su reinado, en el mes décimo, a los diez del mes, que Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia vino con todo su ejército contra Jerusalén, y la cercó; y levantaron contra ella ingenios alrededor.

2 A nd the city entereth into siege till the eleventh year of king Zedekiah,

Y estuvo la ciudad cercada hasta el undécimo año del rey Sedequías.

3 o n the ninth of the month -- when the famine is severe in the city, and there hath not been bread for the people of the land,

A los nueve del mes prevaleció el hambre en la ciudad, y no hubo pan para el pueblo de la tierra.

4 t hen the city is broken up, and all the men of war by night the way of the gate, between the two walls that by the garden of the king, and the Chaldeans against the city round about, and goeth the way of the plain.

Abierta ya la ciudad, huyeron de noche todos los hombres de guerra por el camino de la puerta que estaba entre los dos muros, junto a los huertos del rey, estando los caldeos alrededor de la ciudad; y se fueron por el camino de la campiña.

5 A nd the force of the Chaldeans pursue after the king, and overtake him in the plains of Jericho, and all his force have been scattered from him;

Y el ejército de los caldeos siguió al rey, y lo tomó en las llanuras de Jericó, habiéndose esparcido de él todo su ejército.

6 a nd they seize the king, and bring him up unto the king of Babylon, to Riblah, and they speak with him -- judgment.

Tomado, pues, el rey, le trajeron al rey de Babilonia a Ribla, y profirieron contra él sentencia.

7 A nd the sons of Zedekiah they have slaughtered before his eyes, and the eyes of Zedekiah he hath blinded, and bindeth him with brazen fetters, and they bring him to Babylon.

Y mataron a los hijos de Sedequías en presencia suya; y a Sedequías sacaron los ojos, y atado con cadenas de bronce lo llevaron a Babilonia.

8 A nd in the fifth month, on the seventh of the month (it the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon), hath Nebuzaradan chief of the executioners, servant of the king of Babylon, come to Jerusalem,

¶ En el mes quinto, a los siete del mes, que era el año diecinueve de Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, vino a Jerusalén Nabuzaradán, capitán de los de la guardia, siervo del rey de Babilonia.

9 a nd he burneth the house of Jehovah, and the house of the king, and all the houses of Jerusalem, yea, every great house he hath burned with fire;

Y quemó la Casa del SEÑOR, y la casa del rey, y todas las casas de Jerusalén; y todas las casas de los principales quemó a fuego.

10 a nd the walls of Jerusalem round about have all the forces of the Chaldeans, who with the chief of the executioners, broken down.

Y todo el ejército de los caldeos que estaba con el capitán de la guardia, derribó los muros de Jerusalén alrededor.

11 A nd the rest of the people, those left in the city, and those falling who have fallen to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the multitude, hath Nebuzaradan chief of the executioners removed;

Y a los del pueblo que habían quedado en la ciudad, y a los que se habían juntado al rey de Babilonia, y a los que habían quedado del vulgo, lo transportó Nabuzaradán, capitán de los de la guardia.

12 a nd of the poor of the land hath the chief of the executioners left for vine-dressers and for husbandmen.

Mas de los pobres de la tierra dejó el capitán de los de la guardia, para que labraran las viñas y las tierras.

13 A nd the pillars of brass that in the house of Jehovah, and the bases, and the sea of brass, that in the house of Jehovah, have the Chaldeans broken in pieces, and bear away their brass to Babylon.

Y quebraron los caldeos las columnas de bronce que estaban en la Casa del SEÑOR, y las basas, y el mar de bronce que estaba en la Casa del SEÑOR, y llevaron el bronce de ello a Babilonia.

14 A nd the pots, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass with which they minister they have taken,

Llevaron también los calderos, y las paletas, y las tenazas, y los cucharones, y todos los vasos de bronce con que ministraban.

15 a nd the fire-pans, and the bowls that wholly of silver, hath the chief of the executioners taken.

Incensarios, cuencos, los que de oro, en oro, y los que de plata, en plata, todo lo llevó el capitán de los de la guardia;

16 T he two pillars, the one sea, and the bases that Solomon made for the house of Jehovah, there was no weighing of the brass of all these vessels;

las dos columnas, un mar, y las basas que Salomón había hecho para la Casa del SEÑOR; no había peso de todos estos vasos.

17 e ighteen cubits the height of the one pillar, and the chapiter on it of brass, and the height of the chapiter three cubits, and the net and the pomegranates on the chapiter round about -- the whole of brass; and like these hath the second pillar, with the net.

La altura de una columna era dieciocho codos y tenía encima un capitel de bronce, y la altura del capitel era de tres codos; y sobre el capitel había un enredado y granadas alrededor, todo de bronce; y semejante obra había en la otra columna con el enredado.

18 A nd the chief of the executioners taketh Seraiah the head priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the threshold,

Asimismo tomó el capitán de los de la guardia a Seraías el primer sacerdote, y a Sofonías el segundo sacerdote, y tres guardas de la puerta;

19 a nd out of the city he hath taken a certain eunuch who is appointed over the men of war, and five men of those seeing the king's face who have been found in the city, and the head scribe of the host, who mustereth the people of the land, and sixty men of the people of the land who are found in the city,

y de la ciudad tomó a un eunuco, el cual era prefecto sobre los hombres de guerra, y cinco varones de los continuos del rey, que se hallaron en la ciudad; y al escriba príncipe del ejército, que hacía la reseña de la gente de la tierra, con sesenta varones del pueblo de la tierra, que se hallaron en la ciudad.

20 a nd Nebuzaradan chief of the executioners taketh them, and causeth them to go unto the king of Babylon, to Libnah,

Estos tomó Nabuzaradán, capitán de los de la guardia, y los llevó a Ribla al rey de Babilonia.

21 a nd the king of Babylon smiteth them, and putteth them to death in Riblah, in the land of Hamath, and he removeth Judah from off its land.

Y el rey de Babilonia los hirió y mató en Ribla, en tierra de Hamat. Así fue transportado Judá de sobre su tierra.

22 A nd the people that is left in the land of Judah whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon hath left -- he appointeth over them Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan.

¶ Y al pueblo que Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia dejó en tierra de Judá, puso por gobernador a Gedalías, hijo de Ahicam hijo de Safán.

23 A nd all the heads of the forces hear -- they and the men -- that the king of Babylon hath appointed Gedaliah, and they come in unto Gedaliah, to Mizpah, even Ishmael son of Nethaniah, and Johanan son of Kareah, and Seraiah son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, and Jaazaniah son of the Maachathite -- they and their men;

Y oyendo todos los príncipes del ejército, ellos y los varones, que el rey de Babilonia había puesto por gobernador a Gedalías, se vinieron a Gedalías en Mizpa, es a saber, Ismael hijo de Netanías, Johanán hijo de Carea, Searías hijo de Tanhumet, el netofatita, y Jaazanías hijo de Maacati, ellos con los suyos.

24 a nd Gedaliah sweareth to them, and to their men, and saith to them, `Be not afraid of the servants of the Chaldeans, dwell in the land and serve the king of Babylon, and it is good for you.'

Entonces Gedalías les hizo juramento, a ellos y a los suyos, y les dijo: No tengáis temor de los siervos de los caldeos; habitad en la tierra, y servid al rey de Babilonia, y os irá bien.

25 A nd it cometh to pass, in the seventh month, come hath Ishmael son of Nathaniah, son of Elishama of the seed of the kingdom, and ten men with him, and they smite Gedaliah, and he dieth, and the Jews and the Chaldeans who have been with him in Mizpah.

Mas en el mes séptimo vino Ismael hijo de Netanías, hijo de Elisama, de la simiente real, y con él diez varones, e hirieron a Gedalías, y murió; y también a los judíos y caldeos que estaban con él en Mizpa.

26 A nd all the people rise, from small even unto great, and the heads of the forces, and come in to Egypt, for they have been afraid of the presence of the Chaldeans.

Entonces levantándose todo el pueblo, desde el menor hasta el mayor, con los capitanes del ejército, se fueron a Egipto por temor de los caldeos.

27 A nd it cometh to pass, in the thirty and seventh year of the removal of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the twenty and seventh of the month hath Evil-Merodach king of Babylon lifted up, in the year of his reigning, the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, out of the house of restraint,

¶ Y aconteció a los treinta y siete años de la transportación de Joaquín rey de Judá, en el mes duodécimo, a los veintisiete del mes, que Evil-merodac rey de Babilonia, en el primer año de su reinado, levantó la cabeza de Joaquín rey de Judá, sacándolo de la casa de la cárcel;

28 a nd speaketh with him good things and putteth his throne above the throne of the kings who with him in Babylon,

y le habló bien, y puso su asiento sobre el asiento de los reyes que con él estaban en Babilonia.

29 a nd hath changed the garments of his restraint, and he hath eaten bread continually before him all days of his life,

Y le mudó los vestidos de su prisión, y comió pan siempre delante de él todos los días de su vida.

30 a nd his allowance -- a continual allowance -- hath been given to him from the king, the matter of a day in its day, all days of his life.

Y el rey le hacía dar su comida de continuo, cada cosa en su tiempo todos los días de su vida.
