1 T o the Overseer, on `The Hind of the Morning.' -- A Psalm of David. My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me? Far from my salvation, The words of my roaring?

Dios mío, Dios mío, ¿por qué me has dejado? ¿ Por qué estás lejos de mi salud, y de las palabras de mi clamor?

2 M y God, I call by day, and Thou answerest not, And by night, and there is no silence to me.

Dios mío, clamo de día, y no oyes; y de noche, y no puedo estar en silencio.

3 A nd Thou holy, Sitting -- the Praise of Israel.

Tú empero eres santo, tú que habitas entre las alabanzas de Israel.

4 I n Thee did our fathers trust -- they trusted, And Thou dost deliver them.

En ti esperaron nuestros padres; esperaron, y tú los salvaste.

5 U nto Thee they cried, and were delivered, In Thee they trusted, and were not ashamed.

Clamaron a ti, y fueron librados; esperaron en ti, y no se avergonzaron.

6 A nd I a worm, and no man, A reproach of man, and despised of the people.

Mas yo soy gusano, y no varón; oprobio de los hombres, y desecho del pueblo.

7 A ll beholding me do mock at me, They make free with the lip -- shake the head,

Todos los que me ven, escarnecen de mí; estiran los labios, menean la cabeza, diciendo:

8 ` Roll unto Jehovah, He doth deliver him, He doth deliver him, for he delighted in him.'

Remítese al SEÑOR, líbrelo; sálvele él, puesto que en él se complacía.

9 F or thou He bringing me forth from the womb, Causing me to trust, On the breasts of my mother.

Pero tú eres el que me sacó del vientre, el que me haces esperar en ti desde que estaba a los pechos de mi madre.

10 O n Thee I have been cast from the womb, From the belly of my mother Thou my God.

Sobre ti fui echado desde la matriz; desde el vientre de mi madre, tú eres mi Dios.

11 B e not far from me, For adversity is near, for there is no helper.

¶ No te alejes de mí, porque la angustia está cerca; porque no hay quien ayude.

12 M any bulls have surrounded me, Mighty ones of Bashan have compassed me,

Me han rodeado muchos toros; fuertes toros de Basán me han cercado.

13 T hey have opened against me their mouth, A lion tearing and roaring.

Abrieron sobre mí su boca, como león rampante y rugiente.

14 A s waters I have been poured out, And separated themselves have all my bones, My heart hath been like wax, It is melted in the midst of my bowels.

Heme escurrido como aguas, y todos mis huesos se descoyuntaron; mi corazón fue como cera, desliéndose en medio de mis entrañas.

15 D ried up as an earthen vessel is my power, And my tongue is cleaving to my jaws.

Como un tiesto se secó mi vigor, y mi lengua se pegó a mi paladar; y me has puesto en el polvo de la muerte.

16 A nd to the dust of death thou appointest me, For surrounded me have dogs, A company of evil doers have compassed me, Piercing my hands and my feet.

Porque perros me han rodeado, me ha cercado cuadrilla de malignos; horadaron mis manos y mis pies.

17 I count all my bones -- they look expectingly, They look upon me,

Contar puedo todos mis huesos; ellos miran, me consideran.

18 T hey apportion my garments to themselves, And for my clothing they cause a lot to fall.

Partieron entre sí mis vestidos, y sobre mi ropa echaron suertes.

19 A nd Thou, O Jehovah, be not far off, O my strength, to help me haste.

Mas tú, SEÑOR, no te alejes; fortaleza mía, apresúrate para mi ayuda.

20 D eliver from the sword my soul, From the paw of a dog mine only one.

Libra de la espada mi alma; del poder del perro mi vida.

21 S ave me from the mouth of a lion: -- And -- from the horns of the high places Thou hast answered me!

Sálvame de la boca del león, y de los cuernos de los unicornios líbrame.

22 I declare Thy name to my brethren, In the midst of the assembly I praise Thee.

¶ Anunciaré tu nombre a mis hermanos; en medio de la congregación te alabaré.

23 Y e who fear Jehovah, praise ye Him, All the seed of Jacob, honour ye Him, And be afraid of Him, all ye seed of Israel.

Los que teméis al SEÑOR, alabadle; toda la simiente de Jacob glorificadle; y temed de él, toda la simiente de Israel.

24 F or He hath not despised, nor abominated, The affliction of the afflicted, Nor hath He hidden His face from him, And in his crying unto Him He heareth.

Porque no menospreció ni abominó la aflicción del pobre en espíritu, ni de él escondió su rostro; y cuando clamó a él, le oyó.

25 O f Thee my praise in the great assembly. My vows I complete before His fearers.

De ti será mi alabanza en la grande congregación; mis votos pagaré delante de los que le temen.

26 T he humble do eat and are satisfied, Praise Jehovah do those seeking Him, Your heart doth live for ever.

Comerán los humildes, y serán saciados; alabarán al SEÑOR los que le buscan; vivirá vuestro corazón para siempre.

27 R emember and return unto Jehovah, Do all ends of the earth, And before Thee bow themselves, Do all families of the nations,

Se acordarán, y se volverán al SEÑOR todos los términos de la tierra; y se humillarán delante de ti todas las familias de los gentiles.

28 F or to Jehovah the kingdom, And He is ruling among nations.

Porque del SEÑOR es el reino; y él se enseñoreará de los gentiles.

29 A nd the fat ones of earth have eaten, And they bow themselves, Before Him bow do all going down to dust, And he hath not revived his soul.

Comerán y adorarán todos los gruesos de la tierra; delante de él se arrodillarán todos los que descienden al polvo, y ninguno puede vivificar su propia alma.

30 A seed doth serve Him, It is declared of the Lord to the generation.

La simiente le servirá; será contada al SEÑOR por generación.

31 T hey come and declare His righteousness, To a people that is borne, that He hath made!

Vendrán, y anunciarán al pueblo que naciere, su justicia que él hizo.
