1 A nd it cometh to pass, many days after that Jehovah hath given rest to Israel from all their enemies round about, that Joshua is old, entering into days,

¶ Y aconteció, pasados muchos días después que el SEÑOR dio reposo a Israel de todos sus enemigos al contorno, que Josué, era viejo, y entrado en días.

2 a nd Joshua calleth for all Israel, for its elders, and for its heads, and for its judges, and for its authorities, and saith unto them, `I have become old; I have entered into days;

Y Josué llamó a todo Israel, a sus ancianos, a sus príncipes, a sus jueces y a sus oficiales, y les dijo: Yo soy ya viejo y entrado en días;

3 a nd ye -- ye have seen all that Jehovah your God hath done to all these nations because of you, for Jehovah your God He who is fighting for you;

y vosotros habéis visto todo lo que el SEÑOR vuestro Dios ha hecho con todos estos gentiles en vuestra presencia; porque el SEÑOR vuestro Dios ha peleado por vosotros.

4 s ee, I have caused to fall to you these nations who are left for an inheritance to your tribes, from the Jordan, (and all the nations which I cut off), and the great sea, the going in of the sun.

He aquí os he repartido por herencia, a vuestras tribus todos estos gentiles, así los destruidos como los que quedan, desde el Jordán hasta el gran mar hacia donde el sol se pone.

5 ` As to Jehovah your God, He doth thrust them from your presence, and hath dispossessed them from before you, and ye have possessed their land, as Jehovah your God hath spoken to you,

Y el SEÑOR vuestro Dios los echará de delante de vosotros, y los lanzará de vuestra presencia: y vosotros poseeréis sus tierras, como el SEÑOR vuestro Dios os ha dicho.

6 a nd ye have been very strong to keep and to do the whole that is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, so as not to turn aside from it right or left,

Esforzaos pues mucho a guardar y hacer todo lo que está escrito en el libro de la ley de Moisés, sin apartaros de ello ni a la diestra ni a la siniestra;

7 s o as not to go in among these nations, these who are left with you; and of the name of their gods ye do not make mention, nor do ye swear, nor do ye serve them, nor do ye bow yourselves to them;

que no entrareis a estos gentiles que han quedado con vosotros; no hagáis mención ni juréis por el nombre de sus dioses, ni los honréis, ni os inclinéis a ellos;

8 b ut to Jehovah your God ye do cleave, as ye have done till this day.

mas al SEÑOR vuestro Dios os aferraréis, como habéis hecho hasta hoy.

9 A nd Jehovah is dispossessing from before you nations great and mighty; as for you, none hath stood in your presence till this day;

Pues ha echado el SEÑOR delante de vosotros grandes y fuertes gentiles, y hasta hoy nadie ha podido parar delante de vuestro rostro.

10 o ne man of you doth pursue a thousand, for Jehovah your God He who is fighting for you, as He hath spoken to you;

Un varón de vosotros ha perseguido a mil; porque el SEÑOR vuestro Dios, él mismo ha peleado por vosotros, como él os dijo.

11 a nd ye have been very watchful for yourselves to love Jehovah your God.

¶ Por tanto, velad mucho por vuestras almas, para que améis al SEÑOR vuestro Dios.

12 ` But -- if ye at all turn back and have cleaved to the remnant of these nations, these who are left with you, and intermarried with them, and gone in to them, and they to you,

Porque si os apartaréis, y os adherís a lo que resta de aquellos gentiles que han quedado con vosotros, y si contraéis con ellos matrimonios, y entrareis a ellas, y ellas a vosotros;

13 k now certainly that Jehovah your God is not continuing to dispossess these nations from before you, and they have been to you for a gin, and for a snare, and for a scourge, in your sides, and for thorns in your eyes, till ye perish from off this good ground which Jehovah your God hath given to you.

sabed que el SEÑOR vuestro Dios no echará más a estos gentiles delante de vosotros; antes os serán por lazo, y por tropiezo, y por azote para vuestros costados, y por espinas para vuestros ojos, hasta tanto que perezcáis de esta buena tierra que el SEÑOR vuestro Dios os ha dado.

14 ` And lo, I am going, to-day, in the way of all the earth, and ye have known -- with all your heart, and with all your soul -- that there hath not fallen one thing of all the good things which Jehovah your God hath spoken concerning you; the whole have come to you; there hath not failed of it one thing.

Y he aquí que yo entro hoy por el camino de toda la tierra; sabed, pues, con todo vuestro corazón y con toda vuestra alma, que no se ha perdido una palabra de todas las buenas palabras que el SEÑOR vuestro Dios había dicho de vosotros; todas os han venido, no se ha perdido de ellas ni una.

15 ` And it hath been, as there hath come upon you all the good thing which Jehovah your God hath spoken unto you, so doth Jehovah bring upon you the whole of the evil thing, till His destroying you from off this good ground which Jehovah your God hath given to you;

Mas será, que como ha venido sobre vosotros toda palabra buena que el SEÑOR vuestro Dios os ha dicho, así también traerá el SEÑOR sobre vosotros toda palabra mala, hasta destruiros de sobre la buena tierra que el SEÑOR vuestro Dios os ha dado;

16 i n your transgressing the covenant of Jehovah your God which He commanded you, and ye have gone and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them, then hath the anger of Jehovah burned against you, and ye have perished hastily from off the good land which He hath given to you.'

cuando traspasaréis el pacto del SEÑOR vuestro Dios que él os ha mandado, yendo y honrando a dioses ajenos, e inclinándoos a ellos. Y el furor del SEÑOR se inflamará contra vosotros, y luego pereceréis de esta buena tierra que él os ha dado.
