1 A nd Peter and John were going up at the same time to the temple, at the hour of the prayer, the ninth,

А Петро та Іван на дев'яту годину молитви йшли разом у храм.

2 a nd a certain man, being lame from the womb of his mother, was being carried, whom they were laying every day at the gate of the temple, called Beautiful, to ask a kindness from those entering into the temple,

І несено там чоловіка одного, що кривий був з утроби своєї матері. Його садовили щоденно в воротях храму, що Красними звалися, просити милостині від тих, хто до храму йшов.

3 w ho, having seen Peter and John about to go into the temple, was begging to receive a kindness.

Як побачив же він, що Петро та Іван хочуть у храм увійти, став просити в них милостині.

4 A nd Peter, having looked stedfastly toward him with John, said, `Look toward us;'

Петро ж із Іваном поглянув на нього й сказав: Подивися на нас!

5 a nd he was giving heed to them, looking to receive something from them;

І той подивився на них, сподіваючися щось дістати від них.

6 a nd Peter said, `Silver and gold I have none, but what I have, that I give to thee; in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and be walking.'

Та промовив Петро: Срібла й золота в мене нема, але що я маю, даю тобі: У Ім'я Ісуса Христа Назарянина устань та й ходи!

7 A nd having seized him by the right hand, he raised up, and presently his feet and ankles were strengthened,

І, узявши його за правицю, він підвів його. І хвилі тієї зміцнилися ноги й суглобці його!...

8 a nd springing up, he stood, and was walking, and did enter with them into the temple, walking and springing, and praising God;

І, зірвавшись, він устав та й ходив, і з ними у храм увійшов, ходячи та підскакуючи, і хвалячи Бога!

9 a nd all the people saw him walking and praising God,

Народ же ввесь бачив, як ходив він та Бога хвалив.

10 t hey were knowing him also that this it was who for a kindness was sitting at the Beautiful gate of the temple, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what hath happened to him.

І пізнали його, що це той, що при Красних воротях храму сидів ради милостині. І вони переповнились жахом та подивом із того, що сталось йому!

11 A nd at the lame man who was healed holding Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch called Solomon's -- greatly amazed,

А тому, що тримався він Петра та Івана, увесь народ зачудований збігся до них на той ґанок, який Соломоновим зветься.

12 a nd Peter having seen, answered unto the people, `Men, Israelites! why wonder ye at this? or on us why look ye so earnestly, as if by our own power or piety we have made him to walk?

І, побачивши це, промовив Петро до народу: Мужі ізраїльські! Чого ви дивуєтесь цим, та чого ви на нас позираєте так, ніби те, що він ходить, ми зробили своєю силою чи благочестям?

13 ` The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, did glorify His child Jesus, whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, he having given judgment to release,

Бог Авраамів, та Ісаків, та Яковів, Бог наших батьків, Сина Свого прославив, Ісуса, Якого ви видали, і відцуралися перед Пилатом, як він присудив був пустити Його.

14 a nd ye the Holy and Righteous One did deny, and desired a man -- a murderer -- to be granted to you,

Але ви відцурались Святого та Праведного, і домагалися видати вам душогубця.

15 a nd the Prince of the life ye did kill, whom God did raise out of the dead, of which we are witnesses;

Начальника ж життя ви забили, та Його воскресив Бог із мертвих, чого свідками ми!

16 a nd on the faith of his name, this one whom ye see and have known, his name made strong, even the faith that through him did give to him this perfect soundness before you all.

І через віру в Ім'я Його вздоровило Ім'я Його того, кого бачите й знаєте. І віра, що від Нього, принесла йому вздоровлення це перед вами всіма.

17 ` And now, brethren, I have known that through ignorance ye did, as also your rulers;

А тепер, браття, знаю, що вчинили ви це з несвідомости, як і ваші начальники.

18 a nd God, what things before He had declared through the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ should suffer, He did thus fulfil;

А Бог учинив так, як Він провіщав був устами Своїх усіх пророків, щоб терпіти Христові.

19 r eform ye, therefore, and turn back, for your sins being blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,

Покайтеся ж та наверніться, щоб Він змилувався над вашими гріхами,

20 a nd He may send Jesus Christ who before hath been preached to you,

щоб часи відпочинку прийшли від обличчя Господнього, і щоб послав заповідженого вам Ісуса Христа,

21 w hom it behoveth heaven, indeed, to receive till times of a restitution of all things, of which God spake through the mouth of all His holy prophets from the age.

що Його небо мусить прийняти аж до часу відновлення всього, про що провіщав Бог від віку устами всіх святих пророків Своїх!

22 ` For Moses, indeed, unto the fathers said -- A prophet to you shall the Lord your God raise up out of your brethren, like to me; him shall ye hear in all things, as many as he may speak unto you;

Бо Мойсей провіщав: Господь Бог вам Пророка підійме від ваших братів, як мене; у всім Його слухайтеся, про що тільки Він вам говоритиме!

23 a nd it shall be, every soul that may not hear that prophet shall be utterly destroyed out of the people;

І станеться, що кожна душа, яка не послухала б того Пророка, знищена буде з народу.

24 a nd also all the prophets from Samuel and those following in order, as many as spake, did also foretell of these days.

Так само всі пророки від Самуїла й наступних, скільки їх говорило, також провіщали ці дні.

25 ` Ye are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant that God made unto our fathers, saying unto Abraham: And in thy seed shall be blessed all the families of the earth;

Сини ви пророків і того заповіту, що Бог вашим батькам заповів, промовляючи до Авраама: І в насінні твоїм усі народи землі благословлені будуть!

26 t o you first, God, having raised up His child Jesus, did send him, blessing you, in the turning away of each one from your evil ways.'

Воскресивши Свого Отрока, Бог послав Його перше до вас, щоб вас поблагословити, щоб кожен із вас відвернувся від злих своїх учинків!
