4 R eturn, O Lord, deliver my life; save me for the sake of Your steadfast love and mercy.

Volta-te, Senhor, livra a minha alma; salva-me por tua misericórdia.

5 F or in death there is no remembrance of You; in Sheol (the place of the dead) who will give You thanks?

Pois na morte não há lembrança de ti; no Seol quem te louvará?

6 I am weary with my groaning; all night I soak my pillow with tears, I drench my couch with my weeping.

Estou cansado do meu gemido; toda noite faço nadar em lágrimas a minha cama, inundo com elas o meu leito.

7 M y eye grows dim because of grief; it grows old because of all my enemies.

Os meus olhos estão consumidos pela mágoa, e enfraquecem por causa de todos os meus inimigos.

8 D epart from me, all you workers of iniquity, for the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping.

Apartai-vos de mim todos os que praticais a iniquidade; porque o Senhor já ouviu a voz do meu pranto.

9 T he Lord has heard my supplication; the Lord receives my prayer.

O Senhor já ouviu a minha súplica, o Senhor aceita a minha oração.

10 L et all my enemies be ashamed and sorely troubled; let them turn back and be put to shame suddenly.

Serão envergonhados e grandemente perturbados todos os meus inimigos; tornarão atrás e subitamente serão envergonhados.
