1 U nto You do I cry, O Lord my Rock, be not deaf and silent to me, lest, if You be silent to me, I become like those going down to the pit.

A ti clamo, ó Senhor; rocha minha, não emudeças para comigo; não suceda que, calando-te a meu respeito, eu me torne semelhante aos que descem ã cova.

2 H ear the voice of my supplication as I cry to You for help, as I lift up my hands toward Your innermost sanctuary (the Holy of Holies).

Ouve a voz das minhas súplicas, quando a ti clamo, quando levanto as minhas mãos para o teu santo templo.

3 D rag me not away with the wicked, with the workers of iniquity, who speak peace with their neighbors, but malice and mischief are in their hearts.

Não me arrastes juntamente com os ímpios e com os que praticam a iniqüidade, que falam de paz ao seu próximo, mas têm o mal no seu coração.

4 R epay them according to their work and according to the wickedness of their doings; repay them according to the work of their hands; render to them what they deserve.

Retribui-lhes segundo as suas obras e segundo a malícia dos seus feitos; dá-lhes conforme o que fizeram as suas mãos; retribui-lhes o que eles merecem.

5 B ecause they regard not the works of the Lord nor the operations of His hands, He will break them down and not rebuild them.

Porquanto eles não atentam para as obras do Senhor, nem para o que as suas mãos têm feito, ele os derrubará e não os reedificará

6 B lessed be the Lord, because He has heard the voice of my supplications.

Bendito seja o Senhor, porque ouviu a voz das minhas súplicas.

7 T he Lord is my Strength and my Shield; my heart trusts in, relies on, and confidently leans on Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song will I praise Him.

O Senhor é a minha força e o meu escudo; nele confiou o meu coração, e fui socorrido; pelo que o meu coração salta de prazer, e com o meu cântico o louvarei.

8 T he Lord is their Strength, and He is the Stronghold of salvation to His anointed.

O Senhor é a força do seu povo; ele é a fortaleza salvadora para o seu ungido.

9 S ave Your people and bless Your heritage; nourish and shepherd them and carry them forever.

Salva o teu povo, e abençoa a tua herança; apascenta-os e exalta-os para sempre.
