1 A fter this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice which I had heard addressing me like a war trumpet said, Come up here, and I will show you what must take place in the future.

Depois destas coisas, olhei, e eis que estava uma porta aberta no céu, e a primeira voz que ouvira, voz como de trombeta, falando comigo, disse: Sobe aqui, e mostrar-te-ei as coisas que depois destas devem acontecer.

2 A t once I came under the Spirit’s power, and behold, a throne stood in heaven, with One seated on the throne!

Imediatamente fui arrebatado em espírito, e eis que um trono estava posto no céu, e um assentado sobre o trono;

3 A nd He Who sat there appeared like jasper and sardius, and encircling the throne there was a halo that looked like emerald.

e aquele que estava assentado era, na aparência, semelhante a uma pedra de jaspe e sárdio; e havia ao redor do trono um arco-íris semelhante, na aparência, ã esmeralda.

4 T wenty-four other thrones surrounded the throne, and seated on these thrones were twenty-four elders ( the members of the heavenly Sanhedrin), arrayed in white clothing, with crowns of gold upon their heads.

Havia também ao redor do trono vinte e quatro tronos; e sobre os tronos vi assentados vinte e quatro anciãos, vestidos de branco, que tinham nas suas cabeças coroas de ouro.

5 O ut from the throne came flashes of lightning and rumblings and peals of thunder, and in front of the throne seven blazing torches burned, which are the seven Spirits of God '> the sevenfold Holy Spirit];

E do trono saíam relâmpagos, e vozes, e trovões; e diante do trono ardiam sete lâmpadas de fogo, as quais são os sete espíritos de Deus;

6 A nd in front of the throne there was also what looked like a transparent glassy sea, as if of crystal. And around the throne, in the center at each side of the throne, were four living creatures (beings) who were full of eyes in front and behind.

também havia diante do trono como que um mar de vidro, semelhante ao cristal; e ao redor do trono, um ao meio de cada lado, quatro seres viventes cheios de olhos por diante e por detrás;

7 T he first living creature (being) was like a lion, the second living creature like an ox, the third living creature had the face of a man, and the fourth living creature like a flying eagle.

e o primeiro ser era semelhante a um leão; o segundo ser, semelhante a um touro; tinha o terceiro ser o rosto como de homem; e o quarto ser era semelhante a uma águia voando.

8 A nd the four living creatures, individually having six wings, were full of eyes all over and within; and day and night they never stop saying, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty (Omnipotent), Who was and Who is and Who is to come.

Os quatro seres viventes tinham, cada um, seis asas, e ao redor e por dentro estavam cheios de olhos; e não têm descanso nem de noite, dizendo: Santo, Santo, Santo é o Senhor Deus, o Todo-Poderoso, aquele que era, e que é, e que há de vir.

9 A nd whenever the living creatures offer glory and honor and thanksgiving to Him Who sits on the throne, Who lives forever and ever (through the eternities of the eternities),

E, sempre que os seres viventes davam glória e honra e ações de graças ao que estava assentado sobre o trono, ao que vive pelos séculos dos séculos,

10 T he twenty-four elders ( the members of the heavenly Sanhedrin) fall prostrate before Him Who is sitting on the throne, and they worship Him Who lives forever and ever; and they throw down their crowns before the throne, crying out,

os vinte e quatro anciãos prostravam-se diante do que estava assentado sobre o trono, e adoravam ao que vive pelos séculos dos séculos; e lançavam as suas coroas diante do trono, dizendo:

11 W orthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive the glory and the honor and dominion, for You created all things; by Your will they were and were created.

Digno és, Senhor nosso e Deus nosso, de receber a glória e a honra e o poder; porque tu criaste todas as coisas, e por tua vontade existiram e foram criadas.
