1 T he Lord said to Moses on Mount Sinai,

Disse mais o Senhor a Moisés no monte Sinai:

2 S ay to the Israelites, When you come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath to the Lord.

Fala aos filhos de Israel e dize-lhes: Quando tiverdes entrado na terra que eu vos dou, a terra guardará um sábado ao Senhor.

3 F or six years you shall sow your field, and for six years you shall prune your vineyard and gather in its fruits.

Seis anos semearás a tua terra, e seis anos podarás a tua vinha, e colherás os seus frutos;

4 B ut in the seventh year there shall be a sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a sabbath to the Lord; you shall neither sow your field nor prune your vineyard.

mas no sétimo ano haverá sábado de descanso solene para a terra, um sábado ao Senhor; não semearás o teu campo, nem podarás a tua vinha.

5 W hat grows of itself in your harvest you shall not reap and the grapes on your uncultivated vine you shall not gather, for it is a year of rest to the land.

O que nascer de si mesmo da tua sega não segarás, e as uvas da tua vide não tratada não vindimarás; ano de descanso solene será para a terra.

6 A nd the sabbath rest of the land shall furnish food for you, for your male and female slaves, your hired servant, and the temporary resident who lives with you,

Mas os frutos do sábado da terra vos serão por alimento, a ti, e ao teu servo, e ã tua serva, e ao teu jornaleiro, e ao estrangeiro que peregrina contigo,

7 F or your domestic animals also and for the beasts in your land; all its yield shall be for food.

e ao teu gado, e aos animais que estão na tua terra; todo o seu produto será por mantimento.

8 A nd you shall number seven sabbaths or weeks of years for you, seven times seven years, so the total time of the seven weeks of years shall be forty-nine years.

Também contarás sete sábados de anos, sete vezes sete anos; de maneira que os dias dos sete sábados de anos serão quarenta e nove anos.

9 T hen you shall sound abroad the loud trumpet on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement blow the trumpet in all your land.

Então, no décimo dia do sétimo mês, farás soar fortemente a trombeta; no dia da expiação fareis soar a trombeta por toda a vossa terra.

10 A nd you shall hallow the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; and each of you shall return to his ancestral possession, and each of you shall return to his family.

E santificareis o ano qüinquagésimo, e apregoareis liberdade na terra a todos os seus habitantes; ano de jubileu será para vós; pois tornareis, cada um ã sua possessão, e cada um ã sua família.

11 T hat fiftieth year shall be a jubilee for you; in it you shall not sow, or reap and store what grows of itself, or gather the grapes of the uncultivated vines.

Esse ano qüinquagésimo será para vós jubileu; não semeareis, nem segareis o que nele nascer de si mesmo, nem nele vindimareis as uvas das vides não tratadas.

12 F or it is a jubilee; it shall be holy to you; you shall eat the increase of it out of the field.

Porque é jubileu; santo será para vós; diretamente do campo comereis o seu produto.

13 I n this Year of Jubilee each of you shall return to his ancestral property.

Nesse ano do jubileu tornareis, cada um ã sua possessão.

14 A nd if you sell anything to your neighbor or buy from your neighbor, you shall not wrong one another.

Se venderdes alguma coisa ao vosso próximo ou a comprardes da mão do vosso próximo, não vos defraudareis uns aos outros.

15 A ccording to the number of years after the Jubilee, you shall buy from your neighbor. And he shall sell to you according to the number of years the crops.

Conforme o número de anos desde o jubileu é que comprarás ao teu próximo, e conforme o número de anos das colheitas é que ele te venderá.

16 I f the years are many, you may increase the price, and if the years remaining are few, you shall diminish the price, for the number of the crops is what he is selling to you.

Quanto mais forem os anos, tanto mais aumentarás o preço, e quanto menos forem os anos, tanto mais abaixarás o preço; porque é o número das colheitas que ele te vende.

17 Y ou shall not oppress and wrong one another, but you shall fear your God. For I am the Lord your God.

Nenhum de vós oprimirá ao seu próximo; mas temerás o teu Deus; porque eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus.

18 T herefore you shall do and give effect to My statutes and keep My ordinances and perform them, and you will dwell in the land in safety.

Pelo que observareis os meus estatutos, e guardareis os meus preceitos e os cumprireis; assim habitareis seguros na terra.

19 T he land shall yield its fruit; you shall eat your fill and dwell there in safety.

Ela dará o seu fruto, e comereis a fartar; e nela habitareis seguros.

20 A nd if you say, What shall we eat in the seventh year if we are not to sow or gather in our increase?

Se disserdes: Que comeremos no sétimo ano, visto que não haveremos de semear, nem fazer a nossa colheita?

21 T hen I will command My blessings on you in the sixth year, so that it shall bring forth fruit for three years.

então eu mandarei a minha bênção sobre vós no sexto ano, e a terra produzirá fruto bastante para os três anos.

22 A nd you shall sow in the eighth year, but eat of the old store of produce; until the crops of the ninth year come in you shall eat of the old supply.

No oitavo ano semeareis, e comereis da colheita velha; até o ano nono, até que venha a colheita nova, comereis da velha.

23 T he land shall not be sold into perpetual ownership, for the land is Mine; you are strangers and temporary residents with Me.

Também não se venderá a terra em perpetuidade, porque a terra é minha; pois vós estais comigo como estrangeiros e peregrinos:

24 A nd in all the country you possess you shall grant a redemption for the land.

Portanto em toda a terra da vossã possessão concedereis que seja remida a terra.

25 I f your brother has become poor and has sold some of his property, if any of his kin comes to redeem it, he shall redeem what his brother has sold.

Se teu irmão empobrecer e vender uma parte da sua possessão, virá o seu parente mais chegado e remirá o que seu irmao vendeu.

26 A nd if the man has no one to redeem his property, and he himself has become more prosperous and has enough to redeem it,

E se alguém não tiver remidor, mas ele mesmo tiver enriquecido e achado o que basta para o seu resgate,

27 T hen let him count the years since he sold it and restore the overpayment to the man to whom he sold it, and return to his ancestral possession.

contará os anos desde a sua venda, e o que ficar do preço da venda restituirá ao homem a quem a vendeu, e tornará ã sua possessao.

28 B ut if he is unable to redeem it, it shall remain in the buyer’s possession until the Year of Jubilee, when it shall be set free and he may return to it.

Mas, se as suas posses não bastarem para reavê-la, aquilo que tiver vendido ficará na mão do comprador até o ano do jubileu; porém no ano do jubileu sairá da posse deste, e aquele que vendeu tornará ã sua possessão.

29 I f a man sells a dwelling house in a fortified city, he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; for a full year he may have the right of redemption.

Se alguém vender uma casa de moradia em cidade murada, poderá remi-la dentro de um ano inteiro depois da sua venda; durante um ano inteiro terá o direito de a remir.

30 A nd if it is not redeemed within a full year, then the house that is in the fortified city shall be made sure, permanently and without limitations, for him who bought it, throughout his generations. It shall not go free in the Year of Jubilee.

Mas se, passado um ano inteiro, não tiver sido resgatada, essa casa que está na cidade murada ficará, em perpetuidade, pertencendo ao que a comprou, e ã sua descendência; não sairá o seu poder no jubileu.

31 B ut the houses of the unwalled villages shall be counted with the fields of the country. They may be redeemed, and they shall go free in the Year of Jubilee.

Todavia as casas das aldeias que não têm muro ao redor serão consideradas como o campo da terra; poderão ser remidas, e sairão do poder do comprador no jubileu.

32 N evertheless, the cities of the Levites, the houses in the cities of their possession, the Levites may redeem at any time.

Também, no tocante

33 B ut if a house is not redeemed by a Levite, the sold house in the city they possess shall go free in the Year of Jubilee, for the houses in the Levite cities are their ancestral possession among the Israelites.

E se alguém comprar dos levitas uma casa, a casa comprada e a cidade da sua possessão sairão do poder do comprador no jubileu; porque as casas das cidades dos levitas são a sua possessão no meio dos filhos de Israel.

34 B ut the field of unenclosed or pasture lands of their cities may not be sold; it is their perpetual possession.

Mas o campo do arrabalde das suas cidades não se poderá vender, porque lhes é possessão perpétua.

35 A nd if your brother has become poor and his hand wavers, then you shall uphold (strengthen, relieve) him, a stranger or a temporary resident with you, so that he may live with you.

Também, se teu irmão empobrecer ao teu lado, e lhe enfraquecerem as mãos, sustentá-lo-ás; como estrangeiro e peregrino viverá contigo.

36 C harge him no interest or increase, but fear your God, so your brother may live along with you.

Não tomarás dele juros nem ganho, mas temerás o teu Deus, para que teu irmao viva contigo.

37 Y ou shall not give him your money at interest nor lend him food at a profit.

Não lhe darás teu dinheiro a juros, nem os teus víveres por lucro.

38 I am the Lord your God, Who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt to give you the land of Canaan and to be your God.

Eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus, que vos tirei da terra do Egito, para vos dar a terra de Canaã, para ser o vosso Deus.

39 A nd if your brother becomes poor beside you and sells himself to you, you shall not compel him to serve as a bondman (a slave not eligible for redemption),

Também, se teu irmão empobrecer ao teu lado e vender-se a ti, não o farás servir como escravo.

40 B ut as a hired servant and as a temporary resident he shall be with you; he shall serve you till the Year of Jubilee,

Como jornaleiro, como peregrino estará ele contigo; até o ano do jubileu te servirá;

41 A nd then he shall depart from you, he and his children with him, and shall go back to his own family and return to the possession of his fathers.

então sairá do teu serviço, e com ele seus filhos, e tornará ã sua família, ã possessao de seus pais.

42 F or the Israelites are My servants; I brought them out of the land of Egypt; they shall not be sold as bondmen.

Porque são meus servos, que tirei da terra do Egito; não serão vendidos como escravos.

43 Y ou shall not rule over him with harshness (severity, oppression), but you shall fear your God.

Não dominarás sobre ele com rigor, mas temerás o teu Deus.

44 A s for your bondmen and your bondmaids whom you may have, they shall be from the nations round about you, of whom you may buy bondmen and bondmaids.

E quanto aos escravos ou

45 M oreover, of the children of the strangers who sojourn among you, of them you may buy and of their families that are with you which they have begotten in your land, and they shall be your possession.

Também os comprareis dentre os filhos dos estrangeiros que peregrinarem entre vós, tanto dentre esses como dentre as suas famílias que estiverem convosco, que tiverem eles gerado na vossa terra; e vos serão por possessão.

46 A nd you shall make them an inheritance for your children after you, to hold for a possession; of them shall you take your bondmen always, but over your brethren the Israelites you shall not rule one over another with harshness (severity, oppression).

E deixá-los-eis por herança aos vossos filhos depois de vós, para os herdarem como possessão; desses tomareis os vossos escravos para sempre; mas sobre vossos irmãos, os filhos de Israel, não dominareis com rigor, uns sobre os outros.

47 A nd if a sojourner or stranger with you becomes rich and your brother becomes poor beside him and sells himself to the stranger or sojourner with you or to a member of the stranger’s family,

Se um estrangeiro ou peregrino que estiver contigo se tornar rico, e teu irmão, que está com ele, empobrecer e vender-se ao estrangeiro ou peregrino que está contigo, ou ã linhagem da família do estrangeiro,

48 A fter he is sold he may be redeemed. One of his brethren may redeem him:

depois que se houver vendido, poderá ser remido; um de seus irmãos o poderá remir;

49 E ither his uncle or his uncle’s son may redeem him, or a near kinsman may redeem him; or if he has enough and is able, he may redeem himself.

ou seu tio, ou o filho de seu tio, ou qualquer parente chegado da sua família poderá remi-lo; ou, se ele se tiver tornado rico, poderá remir-se a si mesmo.

50 A nd shall reckon with the purchaser of the servant from the year when he sold himself to the purchaser to the Year of Jubilee, and the price of his release shall be adjusted according to the number of years. The time he was with his owner shall be counted as that of a hired servant.

E com aquele que o comprou fará a conta desde o ano em que se vendeu a ele até o ano do jubileu; e o preço da sua venda será conforme o número dos anos; conforme os dias de um jornaleiro estará com ele.

51 I f there remain many years, in proportion to them he must refund for his release for his acquisition.

Se ainda faltarem muitos anos, conforme os mesmos restituirá, do dinheiro pelo qual foi comprado, o preço da sua redenção;

52 A nd if little time remains until the Year of Jubilee, he shall count it over with him and he shall refund the proportionate amount for his release.

e se faltarem poucos anos até o ano do jubileu, fará a conta com ele; segundo o número dos anos restituirá o preço da sua redenção.

53 A nd as a servant hired year by year shall he deal with him; he shall not rule over him with harshness (severity, oppression) in your sight.

Como servo contratado de ano em ano, estará com o comprador; o qual não dominará sobre ele com rigor diante dos teus olhos.

54 A nd if he is not redeemed during these years and by these means, then he shall go free in the Year of Jubilee, he and his children with him.

E, se não for remido por nenhum desses meios, sairá livre no ano do jubileu, e com ele seus filhos.

55 F or to Me the Israelites are servants, My servants, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.

Porque os filhos de Israel são meus servos; eles são os meus servos que tirei da terra do Egito. Eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus.
