1 Z edekiah was twenty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Hamutal daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
Era Zedequias da idade de vinte e um anos quando começou a reinar, e reinou onze anos em Jerusalém. O nome de sua mãe era Hamutal, filha de Jeremias, de Libna.
2 A nd he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.
E fez o que era mau aos olhos do Senhor, conforme tudo o que fizera Jeoiaquim.
3 F or all this came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah because of the anger of the Lord, and He cast them out from His presence. And Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
Pois por causa da ira do Senhor, chegou-se a tal ponto em Jerusalém e Judá que ele os lançou da sua presença. E Zedequias rebelou-se contra o rei de Babilônia.
4 A nd in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, on the tenth day of the month, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem; and they pitched against it and built moveable towers and siege mounds against it round about.
No ano nono do seu reinado, no mês décimo, no décimo dia do mês, veio Nabucodonozor, rei de Babilônia, contra Jerusalém, ele e todo o seu exército, e se acamparam contra ela, e contra ela levantaram tranqueiras ao redor.
5 S o the city was besieged until the eleventh year of King Zedekiah.
Assim esteve cercada a cidade, até o ano undécimo do rei Zedequias.
6 A nd in the fourth month, on the ninth day of the month, the famine was so severe in the city that there was no bread for the people of the land.
No quarto mês, aos nove do mês, a fome prevalecia na cidade, de tal modo que não havia pão para o povo da terra.
7 T hen the city was broken through, so that all the men of war might flee, and they went forth out of the city by night by way of the gate between the two walls by the king’s garden, though the Chaldeans were round about the city. And they by way of the Arabah (the Jordan Valley).
Então foi aberta uma brecha na cidade; e todos os homens de guerra fugiram, e saíram da cidade de noite, pelo caminho da porta entre os dois muros, a qual está junto ao jardim do rei, enquanto os caldeus estavam ao redor da cidade; e foram pelo caminho da Arabá.
8 B ut the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.
Mas o exército dos caldeus perseguiu o rei, e alcançou a Zedequias nas campinas de Jericó; e todo o seu exército se espalhou, abandonando-o.
9 T hen they seized the king and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah in the land of Hamath, where he pronounced sentence upon him.
Prenderam o rei, e o fizeram subir ao rei de Babilônia a Ribla na terra de Hamate, o qual lhe pronunciou a sentença.
10 A nd the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes; he slew also all the princes of Judah at Riblah.
E o rei de Babilônia matou os filhos de Zedequias ã sua vista; e também matou a todos os príncipes de Judá em Ribla.
11 T hen he put out the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him with shackles and carried him to Babylon and put him in prison till the day of his death.
E cegou os olhos a Zedequias; e o atou com cadeias; e o rei de Babilônia o levou para Babilônia, e o conservou na prisão até o dia da sua morte.
12 N ow in the fifth month, on the tenth day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, there came to Jerusalem Nebuzaradan captain of the guard, who stood and served before the king of Babylon.
No quinto mês, no décimo dia do mês, que era o décimo nono ano do rei Nabucodonozor, rei de Babilônia, veio a Jerusalém Nebuzaradão, capitão da guarda, que assistia na presença do rei de Babilônia.
13 A nd he burned the house of the Lord and the king’s house and all the houses of Jerusalem; every great house he consumed with fire.
E queimou a casa do Senhor, e a casa do rei; como também a todas as casas de Jerusalém, todas as casas importantes, ele as incendiou.
14 A nd all the army of the Chaldeans who were with the captain of the guard broke down all the walls round about Jerusalem.
E todo o exército dos caldeus, que estava com o capitão da guarda, derribou todos os muros que rodeavam Jerusalém.
15 T hen Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive some of the poorest of the people and those who were left in the city, along with those who went out to the king of Babylon and the remnant of the multitude.
E os mais pobres do povo, e o resto do povo que tinha ficado na cidade, e os desertores que se haviam passado para o rei de Babilônia, e o resto dos artífices, Nebuzaradão, capitão da guarda, levou-os cativos.
16 B ut Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left some of the poorest of the land to be vinedressers and tillers of the soil.
Mas dos mais pobres da terra Nebuzaradão, capitão da guarda, deixou ficar alguns, para serem vinhateiros e lavradores.
17 A lso the pillars of bronze that belonged to the house of the Lord, and the bronze bases or pedestals and the bronze Sea or huge laver that were in the house of the Lord, the Chaldeans broke into pieces and carried all the bronze of them to Babylon.
Os caldeus despedaçaram as colunas de bronze que estavam na casa do Senhor, e as bases, e o mar de bronze, que estavam na casa do Senhor, e levaram todo o bronze para Babilônia.
18 T he pots also and the shovels and the snuffers and the bowls and the spoons and all the vessels of bronze used in the temple service they took away.
Também tomaram as caldeiras, as pás, as espevitadeiras, as bacias, as colheres, e todos os utensílios de bronze, com que se ministrava.
19 A lso the small bowls and the firepans and the basins and the pots and the lampstands and the incense cups and the bowls for the drink offerings—whatever was of gold the captain of the guard took away as gold, and whatever was of silver as silver.
De igual modo o capitão da guarda levou os copos, os braseiros, as bacias, as caldeiras, os castiçais, as colheres, e as tigelas. O que era de ouro, levou como ouro, e o que era de prata, como prata.
20 T he two pillars, one Sea or huge laver, and twelve bronze bulls or oxen under the Sea, which King Solomon had made in the house of the Lord—the bronze of all these things was beyond weighing.

21 C oncerning the pillars, the height of the one pillar was eighteen cubits (twenty-seven feet), and an ornamental molding of twelve cubits (eighteen feet) went around its circumference; it was four fingers thick, and it was hollow.
Dessas colunas, a altura de cada um era de dezoito côvados; doze côvados era a medida da sua circunferência; e era a sua espessura de quatro dedos; e era oca.
22 A n upper part or capital of bronze was on top of it. The height of one capital was five cubits (seven and one-half feet), with a network and pomegranates around it, all of bronze. The second pillar also, with its pomegranates, was similar to these.
E havia sobre ela um capitel de bronze; e a altura dum capitel era de cinco côvados, com uma rede e romãs sobre o capitel ao redor, tudo de bronze; e a segunda coluna tinha as mesmas coisas com as romãs.
23 A nd there were ninety-six pomegranates on the sides; and all the pomegranates upon the network were a hundred round about.
E havia noventa e seis romãs aos lados; as romãs todas, sobre a rede ao redor eram cem.
24 A nd the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest and Zephaniah the second priest and the three keepers of the door.
Levou também o capitão da guarda a Seraías, o principal sacerdote, e a Sofonias, o segundo sacerdote, e os três guardas da porta;
25 H e took also out of the city a court officer who had been overseer of the soldiers, and seven men of them who were next to the king and saw his face, who were found in the city, and the scribe of the prince or captain of the army who mustered the people of the land, and sixty men of the people of the land who were found in the midst of the city.
e da cidade levou um oficial que tinha a seu cargo os homens de guerra; e a sete homens dos que assistiam ao rei e que se achavam na cidade; como também o escrivão-mor do exército, que registrava o povo da terra; e mais sessenta homens do povo da terra que se achavam no meio da cidade.
26 A nd Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took them and brought them to the king of Babylon at Riblah.
Tomando-os pois Nebuzaradão, capitão da guarda, levou-os ao rei de Babilônia, a Ribla.
27 A nd the king of Babylon smote them and put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. Thus Judah was carried away captive out of his own land.
E o rei de Babilônia os feriu e os matou em Ribla, na terra de Hamate. Assim Judá foi levado cativo para fora da sua terra.
28 T his is the number of people whom Nebuchadrezzar carried away captive: in the seventh year, 3, 023 Jews;
Este é o povo que Nabucodonozor levou cativo: no sétimo ano três mil e vinte e três judeus;
29 I n the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar, he carried away captive from Jerusalem 832 persons;
no ano décimo oitavo de Nabucodonozor, ele levou cativas de Jerusalém oitocentas e trinta e duas pessoas;
30 I n the twenty-third year of Nebuchadrezzar, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the Jews 745 persons. All the persons were 4, 600.
no ano vinte e três de Nabucodonozor, Nebuzaradão, capitão da guarda, levou cativas, dentre os judeus, setecentas e quarenta e cinco pessoas; todas as pessoas foram quatro mil e seiscentas.
31 A nd in the thirty-seventh year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-fifth day of the month, Evil-merodach king of Babylon in the first year of his reign lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah and brought him out of prison.
No ano trigésimo sétimo do cativeiro de Joaquim, rei de Judá, no mês duodécimo, aos vinte e cinco do mês, Evil-Merodaque, rei de Babilônia, no primeiro ano do seu reinado, levantou a cabeça de Joaquim, rei de Judá, e o tirou do cárcere;
32 H e spoke kindly to him and gave him a seat above the seats of the kings who were with him in Babylon,
e falou com ele benignamente, e pôs o trono dele acima dos tronos dos reis que estavam com ele em Babilônia;
33 J ehoiachin put off his prison garments, and he dined regularly at the king’s table all the days of his life.
e lhe fez mudar a roupa da sua prisão; e Joaquim comia pão na presença do rei continuamente, todos os dias da sua vida.
34 A nd his allowance, a continual one, was given him by the king of Babylon, a portion according to his requirements until the day of his death, all the days of his life.
E, quanto ã sua ração, foi-lhe dada pelo rei de Babilônia a sua porção quotidiana, até o dia da sua morte, durante todos os dias da sua vida.
