1 I n Judah God is known and renowned; His name is highly praised and is great in Israel.

Conhecido é Deus em Judá, grande é o seu nome em Israel.

2 I n Salem also is His tabernacle, and His dwelling place is in Zion.

Em Salém está a sua tenda, e a sua morada em Sião.

3 T here He broke the bow’s flashing arrows, the shield, the sword, and the weapons of war. Selah!

Ali quebrou ele as flechas do arco, o escudo, a espada, e a guerra.

4 G lorious and excellent are You from the mountains of prey.

Glorioso és tu, mais majestoso do que os montes eternos.

5 T he stouthearted are stripped of their spoil, they have slept the sleep; and none of the men of might could raise their hands.

Os ousados de coração foram despojados; dormiram o seu último sono; nenhum dos homens de força pôde usar as mãos.

6 A t Your rebuke, O God of Jacob, both chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.

 tua repreensão, ó Deus de Jacó, cavaleiros e cavalos ficaram estirados sem sentidos.

7 Y ou, even You, are to be feared! Who may stand in Your presence when once Your anger is roused?

Tu, sim, tu és tremendo; e quem subsistirá ã tua vista, quando te irares?

8 Y ou caused sentence to be heard from heaven; the earth feared and was still—

Desde o céu fizeste ouvir o teu juízo; a terra tremeu e se aquietou,

9 W hen God arose to judgment, to save all the meek and oppressed of the earth. Selah!

quando Deus se levantou para julgar, para salvar a todos os mansos da terra.

10 S urely the wrath of man shall praise You; the remainder of wrath shall You restrain and gird and arm Yourself with it.

Na verdade a cólera do homem redundará em teu louvor, e do restante da cólera tu te cingirás.

11 V ow and pay to the Lord your God; let all who are round about Him bring presents to Him Who ought to be feared.

Fazei votos, e pagai-os ao Senhor, vosso Deus; tragam presentes, os que estão em redor dele,

12 H e will cut off the spirit of princes; He is terrible to the kings of the earth.

Ele ceifará o espírito dos príncipes; é tremendo para com os reis da terra.
