1 T he Lord (God) says to my Lord (the Messiah), Sit at My right hand, until I make Your adversaries Your footstool.

Disse o Senhor ao meu Senhor: Assenta-te ã minha direita, até que eu ponha os teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés.

2 T he Lord will send forth from Zion the scepter of Your strength; rule, then, in the midst of Your foes.

O Senhor enviará de Sião o cetro do teu poder. Domina no meio dos teus inimigos.

3 Y our people will offer themselves willingly in the day of Your power, in the beauty of holiness and in holy array out of the womb of the morning; to You Your young men, who are as the dew.

O teu povo apresentar-se-á voluntariamente no dia do teu poder, em trajes santos; como vindo do próprio seio da alva, será o orvalho da tua mocidade.

4 T he Lord has sworn and will not revoke or change it: You are a priest forever, after the manner and order of Melchizedek.

Jurou o Senhor, e não se arrependerá: Tu és sacerdote para sempre, segundo a ordem de Melquisedeque.

5 T he Lord at Your right hand will shatter kings in the day of His indignation.

O Senhor, ã tua direita, quebrantará reis no dia da sua ira.

6 H e will execute judgment upon the nations; He will fill the valleys with the dead bodies, He will crush the heads over lands many and far extended.

Julgará entre as nações; enchê-las-á de cadáveres; quebrantará os cabeças por toda a terra.

7 H e will drink of the brook by the way; therefore will He lift up His head.

Pelo caminho beberá da corrente, e prosseguirá de cabeça erguida.
