1 J udge and vindicate me, O God; plead and defend my cause against an ungodly nation. O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man!

Faze-me justiça, ó Deus, e pleiteia a minha causa contra uma nação ímpia; livra-me do homem fraudulento e iníquo.

2 F or You are the God of my strength; why have You cast me off? Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

Pois tu és o Deus da minha fortaleza; por que me rejeitaste? por que ando em pranto por causa da opressão do inimigo?

3 O send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me; let them bring me to Your holy hill and to Your dwelling.

Envia a tua luz e a tua verdade, para que me guiem; levem-me elas ao teu santo monte, e ã tua habitação.

4 T hen will I go to the altar of God, to God, my exceeding joy; yes, with the lyre will I praise You, O God, my God!

Então irei ao altar de Deus, a Deus, que é a minha grande alegria; e ao som da harpa te louvarei, ó Deus, Deus meu.

5 W hy are you cast down, O my inner self? And why should you moan over me and be disquieted within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall yet praise Him, Who is the help of my countenance, and my God.

Por que estás abatida, ó minha alma? e por que te perturbas dentro de mim? Espera em Deus, pois ainda o louvarei, a ele que é o meu socorro, e o meu Deus.
