1 T hen Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests and built the Sheep Gate. They consecrated it and set up its doors; they consecrated it even to the Tower of Hammeah or the Hundred, as far as the Tower of Hananel.

Então se levantou Eliasibe, o sumo sacerdote, juntamente com os seus irmãos, os sacerdotes, e edificaram a porta das ovelhas, a qual consagraram, e lhe assentaram os batentes. Consagraram-na até a torre dos cem, até a torre de Henanel.

2 A nd next to him the men of Jericho built. Next to Zaccur son of Imri built.

E junto a ele edificaram os homens de Jericó; também ao lado destes edificou Zacur, o filho de Inri.

3 A nd the Fish Gate the sons of Hassenaah built; they laid its beams and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars.

Os filhos de Hassenaá edificaram a porta dos peixes, colocaram-lhe as vigas, e lhe assentaram os batentes, com seus ferrolhos e trancas.

4 A nd next to them Meremoth son of Uriah, the son of Hakkoz, repaired. Next to them Meshullam son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabel, repaired. Next to them Zadok son of Baana repaired.

Ao seu lado fez os reparos Meremote, filho de Urias, filho de Hacoz; ao seu lado Mesulão, filho de Berequias, filho de Mesezabel; ao seu lado Zadoque, filho de Baaná;

5 N ext to them the Tekoites repaired, but their nobles or lords did not put their necks to the work of their Lord.

ao lado destes repararam os tecoítas; porém os seus nobres não meteram o pescoço os serviço do Senhor.

6 M oreover, the Old Gate Joiada son of Paseah and Meshullam son of Besodeiah repaired. They laid its beams and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars.

Joiada, filho de Paséia, e Mesulão, filho de Besodéias, repararam a porta velha, colocaram-lhe as vigas, e lhe assentaram os batentes com seus ferrolhos e trancas.

7 N ext to them repaired Melatiah the Gibeonite and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon and of Mizpah, to the seat or residence of the governor the River.

Junto deles fizeram os reparos Melatias, o gibeonita, e Jadom, o meronotita, homens de Gibeão e de Mizpá, que pertenciam ao domínio do governador dalém do Rio;

8 N ext to them repaired Uzziel son of Harhaiah, one of the goldsmiths. Next to him repaired Hananiah, one of the perfumers, and they abandoned Jerusalem as far as the Broad Wall.

ao seu lado Uziel, filho de Haraías, um dos ourives; ao lado dele Hananias, um dos perfumistas; e fortificaram Jerusalém até o muro largo.

9 N ext to them repaired Rephaiah son of Hur, ruler of half the district of Jerusalem.

Ao seu lado fez os reparos Refaías, filho de Hur, governador da metade do distrito de Jerusalém;

10 N ext to them repaired Jedaiah son of Harumaph, opposite his own house. And next to him repaired Hattush son of Hashabneiah.

13 T he Valley Gate was repaired by Hanun and the inhabitants of Zanoah. They built it and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars and repaired a thousand cubits of the wall, as far as the Dung Gate.

A porta do vale, repararam-na Hanum e os moradores de Zanoa; estes a edificaram, e lhe assentaram os batentes, com seus ferrolhos e trancas, como também mil côvados de muro até a porto do monturo.

14 T he Dung Gate was repaired by Malchijah son of Rechab, the ruler of the district of Beth-haccherem. He rebuilt it and set its doors, its bolts, and its bars.

A porta do monturo, reparou-a Malquias, filho de Recabe, governador do distrito Bete-Haquerem; este a edificou, e lhe assentou os batentes com seus ferrolhos e trancas.

15 T he Fountain Gate was repaired by Shallum son of Col-hozeh, ruler of the district of Mizpah. He rebuilt and covered it and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars, and the wall of the Pool of Shelah (Siloam), by the King’s Garden, as far as the stairs that go down from the the City of David.

A porta da fonte, reparou-a Salum, filho de Col-Hoze, governador do distrito de Mizpá; edificou-a e a cobriu, e lhe assentou os batentes, com seus ferrolhos e trancas; edificou também o muro da piscina de Selá, do jardim do rei, até os degraus que descem da cidade de Davi.

16 A fter him Nehemiah son of Azbuk, ruler of half the district of Beth-zur, repaired to a point opposite the sepulchers of David, and to the artificial pool and the house of the guards.

Depois dele Neemias, filho de Azbuque, governador da metade do distrito de Bete-Zur, fez os reparos até defronte dos sepulcros de Davi, até a piscina artificial, e até a casa dos homens poderosos.

17 A fter him the Levites: Rehum son of Bani. Next to him repaired Hashabiah, ruler of half the district of Keilah.

Depois dele fizeram os reparos os levitas: Reum, filho de Bani, e ao seu lado, Hasabias, governador da metade do distrito de Queila, por seu distrito;

18 A fter him repaired their brethren under Bavvai son of Henadad, ruler of half of the district of Keilah.

depois dele seus irmãos, Bavai, filho de Henadade, governador da outra metade do distrito de Queila.

19 N ext to him repaired Ezer son of Jeshua, ruler of Mizpah, another district over opposite the ascent to the armory at the angle.

Ao seu lado Ézer, filho de Jesuá, governador de Mizpá, reparou outra parte, defronte da subida para a casa das armas, no ângulo.

20 A fter him Baruch son of Zabbai (Zaccai) earnestly repaired another portion from the angular turning of the wall to the door of the house of Eliashib the high priest.

Depois dele reparou Baruque, filho de Zabai, outra parte, desde o ângulo até a porta da casa de Eliasibe, o sumo sacerdote.

21 A fter him Meremoth son of Uriah, the son of Hakkoz, repaired from the door of Eliashib’s house to the end of his house.

Depois dele reparou Meremote, filho de Urias, filho de Hacoz, outra parte, deste a porta da casa de Eliasibe até a extremidade da mesma.

Depois dele fizeram os reparos os sacerdotes que habitavam na campina;

23 A fter them Benjamin and Hasshub repaired opposite their house. After them repaired Azariah son of Maaseiah, the son of Ananiah beside his own house.

depois Benjamim e Hassube, defronte da sua casa; depois deles Azarias, filho de Maaséias, filho de Ananias, junto ã sua casa.

24 A fter him Binnui son of Henadad repaired another section, from the house of Azariah to the angular turn of the wall and to the corner.

Depois dele reparou Binuí, filho de Henadade, outra porte, desde a casa de Azarias até o ângulo e até a esquina.

25 P alal son of Uzai repaired opposite the angular turn of the wall and the tower which stands out from the upper house of the king by the court of the guard. After him Pedaiah son of Parosh

Palal, filho de Uzai, reparou defronte do ângulo, e a torre que se projeta da casa real superior, que está junto ao átrio da guarda; depois dele Pedaías, filho de Parós.

26 A nd the servants of the priests dwelling on Ophel repaired to opposite the Water Gate on the east and the projecting tower.

(Ora, os netinins habitavam em Ofel, até defronte da porta das águas, para o oriente, e até a torre que se projeta.)

27 A fter them the Tekoites repaired another portion opposite the great projecting tower to the wall of Ophel.

Depois repararam os tecoítas outra parte, defronte da grande torre que se projeta, e até o muro de Ofel.

28 A bove the Horse Gate the priests repaired, everyone opposite his own house.

Para cima da porta dos cavalos fizeram os reparos os sacerdotes, cada um defronte da sua casa;

29 A fter them repaired Zadok son of Immer opposite his house. Then Shemaiah son of Shecaniah, keeper of the East Gate, repaired.

depois dele Zadoque, filho de Imer, defronte de sua casa; e depois dele Semaías, filho de Secanias, guarda da porta oriental.

30 A fter him Hananiah son of Shelemiah, and Hanun, the sixth son of Zalaph, repaired another section. After him Meshullam son of Berechiah repaired opposite his chamber.

Depois dele repararam outra parte Hananias, filho de Selemias, e Hanum, o sexto filho de Zalafe. Depois dele reparou Mesulão, filho de Berequias, uma parte defronte da sua câmara.

31 A fter him Malchijah, one of the goldsmiths, repaired as far as the house of the temple servants and of the merchants, opposite the Muster Gate, and to the ascent and upper room of the corner.

Depois dele reparou Malquias, um dos ourives, uma parte até a casa dos netinins e dos mercadores, defronte da porta da guarda, e até a câmara superior da esquina.

32 A nd from the ascent and upper room of the corner to the Sheep Gate the goldsmiths and merchants repaired.

E entre a câmara da esquina e a porta das ovelhas repararam os ourives e os mercadores.
