Contaron con la ayuda de Meremot, el hijo de Urías y nieto de Cos; de Mesulán, el hijo de Berequías y nieto de Mesezabel; y de Sadoc hijo de Baná.

15 T he Fountain Gate was repaired by Shallum son of Col-hozeh, ruler of the district of Mizpah. He rebuilt and covered it and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars, and the wall of the Pool of Shelah (Siloam), by the King’s Garden, as far as the stairs that go down from the the City of David.

»La puerta de la Fuente fue reconstruida por Salún hijo de Coljozé, que era gobernador de la región de Mispá; fue él quien recubrió de madera las puertas, y quien les puso cerraduras y cerrojos; además, reconstruyó la muralla del estanque de Siloé, que va hacia el huerto del rey y llega a las escaleras que bajan de la ciudad de David.

»Los sirvientes del templo que habitaban en Ofel no se quedaron atrás, pues restauraron incluso el frente de la puerta de las Aguas y la torre que sobresale.

27 A fter them the Tekoites repaired another portion opposite the great projecting tower to the wall of Ophel.
