2 T he Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob (Israel).

El amor del Señor por las puertas de Sión es mayor que su amor por todas las ciudades de Jacob.

3 G lorious things are spoken of you, O city of God. Selah!

De ti, ciudad de Dios, se dicen cosas gloriosas.

4 I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon as among those who know —behold, Philistia and Tyre, with Ethiopia (Cush)—, This man was born there.

Entre los que me conocen, tengo presentes a Rajab y a Babilonia. Aquí están Filistea y Tiro, con Etiopía. Éste nació allí.

5 Y es, of Zion it shall be said, This man and that man were born in her, for the Most High Himself will establish her.

De Sión se dirá: «Éste y aquél nacieron en ella.» El Altísimo mismo la establecerá.

6 T he Lord shall count, when He registers the peoples, that this man was born there. Selah!

Al inscribir a los pueblos, el Señor anotará: «Éste nació allá.»

7 T he singers as well as the players on instruments shall say, All my springs (my sources of life and joy) are in you.

Los que cantan y danzan en ella, dirán: «Todas mis fuentes están en ti.»
