Egli ama le porte di Sion più di tutte le dimore di Giacobbe.

3 G lorious things are spoken of you, O city of God. Selah!

Cose gloriose son dette di te, o città di Dio!

4 I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon as among those who know —behold, Philistia and Tyre, with Ethiopia (Cush)—, This man was born there.

«Menzionerò l’Egitto e Babilonia fra quelli che mi conoscono; ecco la Filistia e Tiro, con l’Etiopia: ciascuno d’essi è nato in Sion!»

5 Y es, of Zion it shall be said, This man and that man were born in her, for the Most High Himself will establish her.

E si dirà in Sion: «Questi e quello son nati in essa; e l’Altissimo la renderà stabile».

6 T he Lord shall count, when He registers the peoples, that this man was born there. Selah!

Il Signore farà il censimento e nel registrare i popoli dirà: «Questi è nato là».

7 T he singers as well as the players on instruments shall say, All my springs (my sources of life and joy) are in you.

E cantando e danzando diranno: «Tutte le fonti della mia gioia sono in te».
