8 F or the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things.

16 F or even in Thessalonica you sent for my needs, not only once but a second time.

17 N ot that I seek or am eager for gift, but I do seek and am eager for the fruit which increases to your credit.

Non lo dico perché io ricerchi i doni; ricerco piuttosto il frutto che abbondi a vostro conto.

18 B ut I have and more; I have everything I need and am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent me. fragrant odor of an offering and sacrifice which God welcomes and in which He delights.

Ora ho ricevuto ogni cosa e sono nell’abbondanza. Sono ricolmo di beni, avendo ricevuto da Epafròdito quello che mi avete mandato e che è un profumo di odore soave, un sacrificio accetto e gradito a Dio.

19 A nd my God will liberally supply ( fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

20 T o our God and Father be glory forever and ever (through the endless eternities of the eternities). Amen (so be it).
