1 A fter this I heard what sounded like a mighty shout of a great crowd in heaven, exclaiming, Hallelujah (praise the Lord)! Salvation and glory (splendor and majesty) and power (dominion and authority) to our God!

Después de esto, oí en el cielo la potente voz de una gran multitud que decía: «¡Aleluya! La salvación, la honra, la gloria y el poder son de nuestro Dios,

2 B ecause His judgments (His condemnation and punishment, His sentences of doom) are true and sound and just and upright. He has judged (convicted, pronounced sentence, and doomed) the great and notorious harlot (idolatress) who corrupted and demoralized and poisoned the earth with her lewdness and adultery (idolatry). And He has avenged (visited on her the penalty for) the blood of His servants at her hand.

porque sus juicios son justos y verdaderos. Ha condenado a la gran ramera, que con su inmoralidad sexual ha corrompido a la tierra, y ha vengado la sangre de sus siervos, que fue derramada por ella.»

3 A nd again they shouted, Hallelujah (praise the Lord)! The smoke of her shall continue to ascend forever and ever (through the eternities of the eternities).

Y una vez más dijeron: «¡Aleluya! El humo de ella sube por los siglos de los siglos.»

4 T hen the twenty-four elders '> the heavenly Sanhedrin] and the four living creatures fell prostrate and worshiped God, Who sits on the throne, saying, Amen! Hallelujah (praise the Lord)!

Los veinticuatro ancianos y los cuatro seres vivientes se inclinaron y adoraron a Dios, que estaba sentado en el trono, mientras decían: «¡Amén! ¡Aleluya!»

5 T hen from the throne there came a voice, saying, Praise our God, all you servants of His, you who reverence Him, both small and great!

Del trono salió entonces una voz, que decía: «¡Alaben a nuestro Dios todos sus siervos, los que le temen, los grandes y los pequeños!»

6 A fter that I heard what sounded like the shout of a vast throng, like the boom of many pounding waves, and like the roar of terrific and mighty peals of thunder, exclaiming, Hallelujah (praise the Lord)! For now the Lord our God the Omnipotent (the All-Ruler) reigns!

También oí una voz que parecía el rumor de una gran multitud, o el estruendo de muchas aguas, o el resonar de poderosos truenos, y decía: «¡Aleluya! ¡Reina ya el Señor, nuestro Dios Todopoderoso!

7 L et us rejoice and shout for joy! Let us celebrate and ascribe to Him glory and honor, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His bride has prepared herself.

¡Regocijémonos y alegrémonos y démosle gloria! ¡Ha llegado el momento de las bodas del Cordero! Ya su esposa se ha preparado,

8 S he has been permitted to dress in fine (radiant) linen, dazzling and white—for the fine linen is (signifies, represents) the righteousness (the upright, just, and godly living, deeds, and conduct, and right standing with God) of the saints (God’s holy people).

y se le ha concedido vestirse de lino fino, limpio y refulgente.» Y es que el lino fino simboliza las acciones justas de los santos. La cena de las bodas del Cordero

9 T hen said to me, Write this down: Blessed (happy, to be envied) are those who are summoned (invited, called) to the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he said to me, These are the true words (the genuine and exact declarations) of God.

Entonces el ángel me dijo: «Escribe: “Bienaventurados los que han sido invitados a la cena de las bodas del Cordero.”» Y también me dijo: «Éstas son palabras verdaderas de Dios.»

10 T hen I fell prostrate at his feet to worship (to pay divine honors) to him, but he and said, Refrain! I am another servant with you and your brethren who have the testimony borne by Jesus. Worship God! For the substance (essence) of the truth revealed by Jesus is the spirit of all prophecy.

Yo me postré a sus pies para adorarlo, pero él me dijo: «¡No hagas eso! Yo soy consiervo tuyo, y de tus hermanos que retienen el testimonio de Jesús. Adora a Dios. Pues el testimonio de Jesús es el espíritu de la profecía. El jinete del caballo blanco

11 A fter that I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The One Who was riding it is called Faithful (Trustworthy, Loyal, Incorruptible, Steady) and True, and He passes judgment and wages war in righteousness (holiness, justice, and uprightness).

Entonces vi que el cielo se había abierto, y que allí aparecía un caballo blanco. El nombre del que lo montaba es Fiel y Verdadero, el que juzga y pelea con justicia.

12 H is eyes like a flame of fire, and on His head are many kingly crowns (diadems); and He has a title (name) inscribed which He alone knows or can understand.

Sus ojos parecían dos llamas de fuego, y en su cabeza había muchas diademas, y tenía inscrito un nombre que sólo él conocía.

13 H e is dressed in a robe dyed by dipping in blood, and the title by which He is called is The Word of God.

La ropa que vestía estaba teñida de sangre, y su nombre es: «El verbo de Dios.»

14 A nd the troops of heaven, clothed in fine linen, dazzling and clean, followed Him on white horses.

Iba seguido de los ejércitos celestiales, que montaban caballos blancos y vestían lino finísimo, blanco y limpio.

15 F rom His mouth goes forth a sharp sword with which He can smite (afflict, strike) the nations; and He will shepherd and control them with a staff (scepter, rod) of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath and indignation of God the All-Ruler (the Almighty, the Omnipotent).

De su boca salía una espada afilada, para herir con ella a las naciones. Él las gobernará con cetro de hierro; y pisará el lagar del ardiente vino de la ira del Dios Todopoderoso.

16 A nd on His garment (robe) and on His thigh He has a name (title) inscribed, king of kings and lord of lords.

En su manto y en su muslo lleva inscrito este nombre: «Rey de reyes y Señor de señores.»

17 T hen I saw a single angel stationed in the sun’s light, and with a mighty voice he shouted to all the birds that fly across the sky, Come, gather yourselves together for the great supper of God,

Vi entonces que un ángel estaba de pie en el sol, y que con voz potente les decía a todas las aves que surcan los cielos: «Vengan ya; júntense para la gran cena de Dios,

18 T hat you may feast on the flesh of rulers, the flesh of generals and captains, the flesh of powerful and mighty men, the flesh of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all humanity, both free and slave, both small and great!

para que devoren los cadáveres de reyes, capitanes y poderosos; los cadáveres de caballos y de jinetes, ¡los cadáveres de todos, libres y esclavos, pequeños y grandes!»

19 T hen I saw the beast and the rulers and leaders of the earth with their troops mustered to go into battle and make war against Him Who is mounted on the horse and against His troops.

Vi entonces que la bestia y los reyes de la tierra y sus ejércitos se reunían para luchar contra el que montaba el caballo, y contra su ejército.

20 A nd the beast was seized and overpowered, and with him the false prophet who in his presence had worked wonders and performed miracles by which he led astray those who had accepted or permitted to be placed upon them the stamp (mark) of the beast and those who paid homage and gave divine honors to his statue. Both of them were hurled alive into the fiery lake that burns and blazes with brimstone.

Pero la bestia fue apresada, y también el falso profeta que había hecho señales milagrosas delante de ella, con las que había engañado a los que recibieron la marca de la bestia y habían adorado su imagen. Estos dos fueron lanzados vivos a un lago de fuego que arde con azufre.

21 A nd the rest were killed with the sword that issues from the mouth of Him Who is mounted on the horse, and all the birds fed ravenously and glutted themselves with their flesh.

Los demás fueron muertos con la espada que salía de la boca del que montaba el caballo, y todas las aves se saciaron devorando sus cadáveres.
