1 A fter this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice which I had heard addressing me like a war trumpet said, Come up here, and I will show you what must take place in the future.

Después de esto vi una puerta abierta en el cielo; y la primera voz que oí, como de trompeta que hablaba conmigo, decía: Sube acá, y te mostraré las cosas que deben suceder después de éstas.

2 A t once I came under the Spirit’s power, and behold, a throne stood in heaven, with One seated on the throne!

Y al instante estuve en espíritu; y he aquí, un trono estaba colocado en el cielo, y uno sentado en el trono.

3 A nd He Who sat there appeared like jasper and sardius, and encircling the throne there was a halo that looked like emerald.

Y el que estaba sentado era semejante en aspecto a piedra de jaspe y de sardio; y había alrededor del trono un arco iris, semejante en aspecto a la esmeralda.

4 T wenty-four other thrones surrounded the throne, and seated on these thrones were twenty-four elders ( the members of the heavenly Sanhedrin), arrayed in white clothing, with crowns of gold upon their heads.

Y alrededor del trono había veinticuatro tronos; y vi sentados en los tronos a veinticuatro ancianos, cubiertos de ropas blancas y con coronas de oro en sus cabezas.

5 O ut from the throne came flashes of lightning and rumblings and peals of thunder, and in front of the throne seven blazing torches burned, which are the seven Spirits of God '> the sevenfold Holy Spirit];

Y del trono salen relámpagos y fragor de truenos, y hay siete lámparas de fuego ardiendo delante del trono, las cuales son los siete espíritus de Dios.

6 A nd in front of the throne there was also what looked like a transparent glassy sea, as if of crystal. And around the throne, in the center at each side of the throne, were four living creatures (beings) who were full of eyes in front and behind.

Y delante del trono hay como un mar de vidrio semejante al cristal; y en medio del trono, y alrededor del trono, cuatro seres vivientes llenos de ojos por delante y por detrás.

7 T he first living creature (being) was like a lion, the second living creature like an ox, the third living creature had the face of a man, and the fourth living creature like a flying eagle.

Y el primer ser viviente es semejante a un león; el segundo es semejante a un becerro; el tercero tiene el rostro como de hombre; y el cuarto es semejante a un águila volando.

8 A nd the four living creatures, individually having six wings, were full of eyes all over and within; and day and night they never stop saying, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty (Omnipotent), Who was and Who is and Who is to come.

Y los cuatro seres vivientes tenían cada uno seis alas, y alrededor y por dentro están llenos de ojos; y no cesan día y noche de decir: Santo, santo, santo es el Señor Dios Todopoderoso, el que era, el que es, y el que ha de venir.

9 A nd whenever the living creatures offer glory and honor and thanksgiving to Him Who sits on the throne, Who lives forever and ever (through the eternities of the eternities),

Y cuando los seres vivientes dan gloria y honor y acción de gracias al que está sentado en el trono, al que vive por los siglos de los siglos,

10 T he twenty-four elders ( the members of the heavenly Sanhedrin) fall prostrate before Him Who is sitting on the throne, and they worship Him Who lives forever and ever; and they throw down their crowns before the throne, crying out,

los veinticuatro ancianos se postran delante del que está sentado en el trono, y adoran al que vive por los siglos de los siglos, y echan sus coronas delante del trono, diciendo:

11 W orthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive the glory and the honor and dominion, for You created all things; by Your will they were and were created.

Señor, eres digno de recibir la gloria y el honor y el poder; porque tú creaste todas las cosas, y por tu voluntad existen y fueron creadas.
