1 T hen I looked and behold, in the firmament that was over the heads of the cherubim there appeared above them something looking like a sapphire stone, in form resembling a throne.

Miré, y he aquí, en la bóveda que había sobre la cabeza de los querubines, una como piedra de zafiro apareció sobre ellos, la cual parecía como semejanza de un trono.

2 A nd spoke to the man clothed in linen and said, Go in among the whirling wheels under the cherubim; fill your hands with coals of fire from between the cherubim and scatter them over the city. And he went in before my eyes.

Y habló al varón vestido de lino, y le dijo: Entra en medio de las ruedas debajo de los querubines, y llena tus manos de carbones encendidos de entre los querubines, y espárcelos sobre la ciudad. Y él entró ante mis ojos.

3 N ow the cherubim stood on the south side of the house when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court.

Ahora bien, los querubines estaban a la mano derecha de la casa cuando este varón entró; y la nube llenaba el atrio interior.

4 T hen the glory of the Lord mounted up from the cherubim to stand over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the Lord’s glory.

Entonces la gloria de Jehová se elevó de encima del querubín al umbral de la casa; y la casa fue llena de la nube, y el atrio se llenó del resplandor de la gloria de Jehová.

5 A nd the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard even to the outer court, like the voice of God Almighty when He speaks.

Y el estruendo de las alas de los querubines se oía hasta el atrio exterior, como la voz del Dios Omnipotente cuando habla.

6 A nd when He commanded the man clothed in linen, saying, Take fire from between the whirling wheels, from between the cherubim, went in and stood beside a wheel.

Aconteció, pues, que al mandar al varón vestido de lino, diciendo: Toma fuego de entre las ruedas, de entre los querubines, él entró y se detuvo junto a una rueda.

7 A nd a cherub stretched forth his hand from between the cherubim to the fire that was between the cherubim, and took some of it and put it into the hands of the man clothed in linen, who took it and went out.

Y un querubín extendió su mano de en medio de los querubines al fuego que estaba entre ellos, y tomó de él y lo puso en las manos del que estaba vestido de lino, el cual lo tomó y salió.

8 A nd the cherubim seemed to have the form of a man’s hand under their wings.

Y apareció en los querubines la figura de una mano de hombre debajo de sus alas.

9 A nd I looked and behold, there were four wheels beside the cherubim, one wheel beside one cherub and another wheel beside another cherub; and the appearance of the wheels was like sparkling chrysolite.

Y miré, y he aquí cuatro ruedas junto a los querubines, junto a cada querubín una rueda; y el aspecto de las ruedas era como el color del crisólito.

10 A nd as for their appearance, they four looked alike, as if a wheel had been within a wheel.

En cuanto a su apariencia, las cuatro eran de una misma forma, como si estuvieran una dentro de la otra.

11 W hen they went, they went in any one of the four directions; they did not turn as they went, but to the place to which the front wheel faced the others followed; they turned not as they went.

Cuando andaban, andaban hacia las cuatro direcciones; no se volvían cuando andaban, sino que al lugar adonde se dirigía la cabeza, en pos de ella iban; ni se volvían cuando andaban.

12 A nd their whole body, their backs, their hands, and their wings, and the wheels, were full of eyes round about, even the wheels that each had.

Y todo su cuerpo, sus espaldas, sus manos, sus alas y las ruedas estaban llenos de ojos alrededor incluso en las ruedas que tenían los cuatro.

13 A s regarding the wheels, they were called in my hearing the whirling wheels.

A las ruedas, oyéndolo yo, se les gritaba: ¡La rueda!

14 A nd every one had four faces: the first face was the face of the cherub, the second the face of a man, the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.

Y cada uno tenía cuatro caras. La primera era rostro de querubín; la segunda, de hombre; la tercera, cara de león; la cuarta, cara de águila.

15 A nd the cherubim mounted upward. This is the living creature that I saw by the river Chebar.

Y se levantaron los querubines; éste es el ser viviente que vi en el río Quebar.

16 A nd when the cherubim went, the wheels went beside them; and when the cherubim lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, the wheels did not turn from beside them.

Y cuando andaban los querubines, andaban las ruedas junto con ellos; y cuando los querubines alzaban sus alas para levantarse de la tierra, las ruedas tampoco se apartaban de ellos.

17 W hen those stood still, these stood still; and when those mounted up, these mounted up also, for the spirit of life was in these.

Cuando se paraban ellos, se paraban ellas, y cuando ellos se alzaban, se alzaban con ellos; porque el espíritu de los seres vivientes estaba en ellas.

18 T hen the glory of the Lord went forth from above the threshold of the temple and stood over the cherubim.

Entonces la gloria de Jehová se elevó de encima del umbral de la casa, y se puso sobre los querubines.

19 A nd the cherubim lifted up their wings and mounted up from the earth in my sight, and they went forth with the wheels beside them; and they stood at the entrance of the East Gate of the house of the Lord, and the glory of the God of Israel was over them.

Y alzando los querubines sus alas, se levantaron de la tierra delante de mis ojos; cuando ellos salieron, también las ruedas se alzaron al lado de ellos; y se pararon a la entrada de la puerta oriental de la casa de Jehová, y la gloria del Dios de Israel estaba por encima sobre ellos.

20 T his is the living creature that I saw beneath the God of Israel by the river Chebar, and I knew that they were cherubim.

Éstos eran los mismos seres vivientes que vi debajo del Dios de Israel junto al río Quebar; y conocí que eran querubines.

21 E ach one had four faces and each one had four wings, and what looked like the hands of a man was under their wings.

Cada uno tenía cuatro caras y cada uno cuatro alas, y figuras de manos de hombre debajo de sus alas.

22 A nd as for the likeness of their faces, they were the same faces which I saw by the river Chebar, with regard to their appearances and themselves; they went every one straight forward.

Y la semejanza de sus rostros era la de los rostros que vi junto al río Quebar, su misma apariencia y modo de ser. Cada uno caminaba derecho hacia adelante.
