1 B lessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is he who considers the weak and the poor; the Lord will deliver him in the time of evil and trouble.

Bienaventurado el que se preocupa del pobre; En el día malo lo librará Jehová.

2 T he Lord will protect him and keep him alive; he shall be called blessed in the land; and You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies.

Jehová lo guardará, y le dará vida; Será bienaventurado en la tierra, Y no lo entregarás a la voluntad de sus enemigos.

3 T he Lord will sustain, refresh, and strengthen him on his bed of languishing; all his bed You will turn, change, and transform in his illness.

Jehová lo sustentará sobre el lecho del dolor; Tornarás su postración en mejoría.

4 I said, Lord, be merciful and gracious to me; heal my inner self, for I have sinned against You.

Yo dije: Jehová, ten misericordia de mí; Sana mi alma, porque contra ti he pecado.

5 M y enemies speak evil of me,, When will he die and his name perish?

Mis enemigos hablan mal contra mí, preguntando: ¿Cuándo se morirá, y perecerá su nombre?

6 A nd when one comes to see me, he speaks falsehood and empty words, while his heart gathers mischievous gossip; when he goes away, he tells it abroad.

Y si vienen a verme, hablan mentira; Su corazón, repleto de iniquidad, Sale a criticar fuera.

7 A ll who hate me whisper together about me; against me do they devise my hurt.

Reunidos murmuran contra mí todos los que me aborrecen; Contra mí piensan mal, diciendo de mí:

8 A n evil disease, say they, is poured out upon him and cleaves fast to him; and now that he is bedfast, he will not rise up again.

Se ha apoderado de él una enfermedad incurable; Y el que cayó en cama no volverá a levantarse.

9 E ven my own familiar friend, in whom I trusted (relied on and was confident), who ate of my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.

Hasta mi amigo íntimo, en quien yo confiaba, el que comía mi pan, Alzó contra mí su pie.

10 B ut You, O Lord, be merciful and gracious to me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.

Mas tú, Jehová, ten misericordia de mí, y hazme levantar, Y les daré su merecido.

11 B y this I know that You favor and delight in me, because my enemy does not triumph over me.

En esto conoceré que te he agradado, En que mi enemigo no cante victoria de mí.

12 A nd as for me, You have upheld me in my integrity and set me in Your presence forever.

En cuanto a mí, me sustentas en mi integridad, Y ante tu faz me admitirás para siempre.

13 B lessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting and to everlasting! Amen and Amen (so be it).

Bendito sea Jehová, el Dios de Israel, Por los siglos de los siglos. Amén y amén.
