1 W oe to those who devise iniquity and work out evil upon their beds! When the morning is light, they perform and practice it because it is in their power.

¡Ay de los que en sus camas piensan iniquidad y maquinan el mal, y cuando llega la mañana lo ejecutan, porque tienen en su mano el poder!

2 T hey covet fields and seize them, and houses and take them away; they oppress and crush a man and his house, a man and his inheritance.

Codician las heredades, y las roban; y casas, y las toman; oprimen al hombre y a su casa, al hombre y a su heredad.

3 T herefore thus says the Lord: Behold, against this family I am planning a disaster from which you cannot remove your necks, nor will you be able to walk erect; for it will be an evil time.

Por tanto, así dice Jehová: He aquí, yo pienso contra esta familia un mal del cual no libraréis vuestros cuellos, ni andaréis altivos; porque el tiempo será malo.

4 I n that day shall they take up a parable against you and wail with a doleful and bitter lamentation and say, We are utterly ruined and laid waste! changes the portion of my people. How He removes it from me! He divides our fields.

En aquel tiempo levantarán sobre vosotros refrán, y se hará endecha de lamentación, diciendo: Del todo fuimos destruidos; él ha cambiado la porción de mi pueblo. ¡Cómo nos quitó nuestros campos! Los dio y los repartió a otros.

5 T herefore you shall have no one to cast a line by lot upon a plot in the assembly of the Lord.

Por tanto, no habrá quien a suerte reparta heredades en la congregación de Jehová.

6 D o not preach, say the prophesying false prophets; one should not babble and harp on such things; disgrace will not overtake us.

No profeticéis, dicen a los que profetizan; no profeticen tales cosas, que no nos alcanzará el oprobio.

7 O house of Jacob, shall it be said, Is the Spirit of the Lord restricted, impatient, and shortened? Or are these His doings? Do not My words do good to him who walks uprightly?

Tú que te dices casa de Jacob, ¿se ha acortado el Espíritu de Jehová? ¿Son éstas sus obras? ¿No hacen mis palabras bien al que camina rectamente?

8 B ut lately (yesterday) My people have stood up as an enemy. Off from the garment you strip the cloak of those who pass by in secure confidence of safety and are averse to war.

El que ayer era mi pueblo, se ha levantado como enemigo; de sobre el vestido quitasteis atrevidamente las capas a los que pasaban, como adversarios de guerra.

9 T he women of My people you cast out from their pleasant houses; from their young children you take away My glory forever.

A las mujeres de mi pueblo echasteis fuera de las casas que eran su delicia; a sus niños quitasteis mi perpetua alabanza.

10 A rise and depart, for this is not the rest, because of uncleanness that works destruction, even a sharp and grievous destruction.

Levantaos y andad, porque no es éste un lugar de reposo, pues está contaminado y causa destrucción irreparable.

11 I f a man walking in a spirit and in falsehood should lie and say, I will prophesy to you of wine and strong drink, O Israel, he would even be the acceptable prophet of this people!

Si alguno, andando con espíritu de falsedad, mintiese diciendo: Yo te profetizaré de vino y de licor; este tal sería el profeta de este pueblo.

12 I will surely gather all of you, O Jacob; I will surely collect the remnant of Israel. I will bring them together like sheep in a fold, like a flock in the midst of their pasture. They shall swarm with men and hum with much noise.

De cierto te juntaré todo, oh Jacob; recogeré ciertamente el resto de Israel; lo reuniré como ovejas de Bosrá, como rebaño en medio de su aprisco; harán estruendo por la multitud de hombres.

13 T he Breaker will go up before them. They will break through, pass in through the gate and go out through it, and their King will pass on before them, the Lord at their head.

Subirá delante de ellos el que abre caminos; abrirán camino y pasarán la puerta, y saldrán por ella; y su rey pasará delante de ellos, y a la cabeza de ellos Jehová.
