1 S olomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished all of it.

3 A nd it was covered with cedar above the side chambers that were upon the forty-five pillars, fifteen in a row.

Y estaba cubierta de tablas de cedro arriba sobre las vigas, que se apoyaban en cuarenta y cinco columnas; cada hilera tenía quince columnas.

4 T here were window frames in three rows, and window opposite window in three tiers.

Y había tres hileras de ventanas, una ventana frente a la otra en tres hileras.

5 A ll the doorways and windows were square cut, and window was opposite window in three tiers.

Todas las puertas y los postes eran cuadrados; y unas ventanas estaban frente a las otras en tres hileras.

6 H e also made the Hall of Pillars; its length was fifty cubits and its breadth thirty cubits. There was a porch in front, and pillars and a cornice before them.

También hizo un pórtico de columnas, que tenía cincuenta codos de largo y treinta codos de ancho; y este pórtico estaba delante de las primeras, con sus columnas y maderos correspondientes.

7 H e made the porch for the throne where he was to judge, the Porch of Judgment; it was covered with cedar from floor to ceiling.

Hizo asimismo el vestíbulo del trono en que había de juzgar, el pórtico del juicio, y lo cubrió de cedro desde el suelo hasta el techo.

8 H is house where he was to dwell had another court behind the Porch of Judgment of similar work. Solomon also made a house like this porch for Pharaoh’s daughter, whom he had married.

Y la casa en que él moraba, en el otro vestíbulo frente al pórtico anterior, tenía la misma configuración. Edificó también Salomón para la hija de Faraón, que había tomado por mujer, una casa de hechura semejante a la del pórtico.

9 A ll were of costly stones hewn according to measure, sawed with saws back and front, even from foundation to coping, and from the outside to the great court.

Todas aquellas obras fueron de piedras valiosas, cortadas y ajustadas con sierras según las medidas, así por dentro como por fuera, desde el cimiento hasta los remates, y asimismo por fuera hasta el gran atrio.

10 T he foundation was of costly stones, even great stones of eight and ten cubits.

El cimiento era de piedras valiosas, piedras grandes, de diez codos y de ocho codos.

11 A nd above were costly stones hewn according to measure, and cedar timbers.

De allí hacia arriba había también piedras valiosas, labradas a medida, y madera de cedro.

12 A lso the great encircling court had three courses of hewn stone and a course of cedar beams, like was around the inner court of the house of the Lord and the porch of the house.

Y en el gran atrio alrededor había tres hileras de piedras labradas, y una hilera de vigas de cedro; igual que el atrio interior de la casa de Jehová, y el atrio de su casa. Hiram, el broncista de Tiro

13 K ing Solomon brought Hiram from Tyre.

Y envió el rey Salomón, e hizo venir de Tiro a Hiram,

14 H e was the son of a widow of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in bronze. He was full of wisdom, understanding, and skill to do any kind of work in bronze. So he came to King Solomon and did all his work.

hijo de una viuda de la tribu de Neftalí. Su padre, que trabajaba en bronce, era de Tiro; e Hiram era lleno de sabiduría, inteligencia y pericia en toda obra de bronce. Éste, pues, vino al rey Salomón, e hizo toda su obra.

15 H e fashioned the two pillars of bronze, each eighteen cubits high, and a line of twelve cubits measured its circumference.

Fundió dos columnas de bronce; la altura de cada una era de dieciocho codos, y el perímetro de cada una era de doce codos, medidos a cordel.

16 H e made two capitals of molten bronze to set upon the tops of the pillars; the height of each capital was five cubits.

Hizo también dos capiteles de fundición de bronce, para que fuesen puestos sobre las cabezas de las columnas; la altura de un capitel era de cinco codos, y la del otro capitel también de cinco codos.

17 N ets of checkerwork and wreaths of chainwork for the capitals were on the tops of the pillars, seven for each capital.

Había trenzas a manera de red, y unos cordones a manera de cadenas, para los capiteles que se habían de poner sobre las cabezas de las columnas; siete para cada capitel.

18 S o Hiram made the pillars. There were two rows of pomegranates encircling each network to cover the capitals that were upon the top.

Hizo también dos hileras de granadas alrededor de la red, para cubrir los capiteles que estaban en las cabezas de las columnas con las granadas; y de la misma forma hizo en el otro capitel.

19 T he capitals that were upon the top of the pillars in the porch were of lily work, four cubits.

Los capiteles que estaban sobre las columnas en el pórtico, tenían forma de lirios y eran de cuatro codos.

20 T he capitals were upon the two pillars and also above the rounded projection beside the network. There were 200 pomegranates in two rows round about, and so with the other capital.

Tenían también los capiteles de las dos columnas, doscientas granadas en dos hileras alrededor en cada capitel, encima de su globo, el cual estaba rodeado por la red.

21 H iram set up the pillars of the porch of the temple; he set up the right pillar and called its name Jachin, and he set up the left pillar and called its name Boaz.

Erigió estas columnas en el pórtico del templo; y cuando hubo alzado la columna del lado derecho, le puso por nombre Jaquín, y alzando la columna del lado izquierdo, llamó su nombre Boaz.

22 O n the tops of the pillars was lily work. So the work of the pillars was finished.

Y puso en los capiteles de las columnas un entallado en forma de lirios, y así se acabó la obra de las columnas. La pila de bronce

23 H e made a round molten Sea, ten cubits from brim to brim, five cubits high and thirty cubits in circumference.

Hizo fundir asimismo una pila de diez codos de un lado al otro, perfectamente redonda; su altura era de cinco codos, y su perímetro era de treinta codos, medidos a cordel.

24 U nder its brim were gourds encircling the Sea, ten to a cubit; the gourds were in two rows, cast in one piece with it.

Rodeaban aquel estanque, por debajo de su borde alrededor, unas bolas como calabazas, diez en cada codo, que lo ceñían alrededor en dos filas, las cuales habían sido fundidas cuando la pila fue fundida.

25 I t stood upon twelve oxen, three facing north, three west, three south, and three east; the Sea was set upon them, and all their rears pointed inward.

Y descansaba sobre doce bueyes; tres miraban al norte, tres miraban al occidente, tres miraban al sur, y tres miraban al oriente; sobre éstos se apoyaba la gran pila, y las ancas de ellos estaban hacia la parte de adentro.

26 I t was a handbreadth thick, and its brim was made like the brim of a cup, like a lily blossom. It held 2, 000 baths.

Su espesor era de un palmo, y el borde era labrado como el borde del cáliz de la flor de lis; y cabían en la pila dos mil batos.

27 H iram made ten bronze bases; their length and breadth were four cubits, and the height three cubits.

Hizo también diez basas de bronce, siendo la longitud de cada basa de cuatro codos, y la anchura de cuatro codos, y de tres codos la altura.

28 T his is the way the bases were made: they had panels between the ledges.

La obra de las basas era ésta: tenían unos tableros, los cuales estaban entre molduras;

29 O n the panels between the ledges were lions, oxen, and cherubim; and upon the ledges there was a pedestal above. Beneath the lions and oxen were wreaths of hanging work.

y sobre aquellos tableros que estaban entre las molduras, había figuras de leones, de bueyes y de querubines; y sobre las molduras de la basa, así encima como debajo de los leones y de los bueyes, había unas añadiduras de bajorrelieve.

30 A nd every base had four bronze wheels and axles of bronze, and at the four corners were supports for a laver. Beneath the laver the supports were cast, with wreaths at the side of each.

Cada basa tenía cuatro ruedas de bronce, con ejes de bronce, y en sus cuatro esquinas había repisas de fundición que sobresalían de los festones, para venir a quedar debajo de la pila.

31 I ts mouth within the capital projected upward a cubit, and its mouth was round like the work of a pedestal, a cubit and a half. Also upon its mouth were carvings, and their borders were square, not round.

Y la boca de la pila entraba un codo en el remate que salía para arriba de la basa; y la boca era redonda, de la misma hechura del remate, y éste de codo y medio. Había también sobre la boca entalladuras con sus tableros, los cuales eran cuadrados, no redondos.

32 U nder the borders were four wheels, and the axles of the wheels were one piece with the base. And the height of a wheel was a cubit and a half.

Las cuatro ruedas estaban debajo de los tableros, y los ejes de las ruedas nacían en la misma basa. La altura de cada rueda era de un codo y medio.

33 T he wheels were made like a chariot wheel: their axles, their rims, their spokes, and their hubs were all cast.

Y la forma de las ruedas era como la de las ruedas de un carro; sus ejes, sus rayos, sus cubos y sus llantas, todo era de fundición.

34 T here were four supports to the four corners of each base; the supports were part of the base itself.

Había cuatro asas en las cuatro esquinas de cada basa; y las asas eran parte de la misma basa.

35 O n the top of the base there was a circular elevation half a cubit high, and on the top of the base its stays and panels were of one piece with it.

Y en lo alto de la basa había un soporte redondo de medio codo de altura, y en la cima de la basa, sus molduras y tableros, los cuales formaban con ella una sola pieza.

36 A nd on the surface of its stays and its panels Hiram carved cherubim, lions, and palm trees, according to the space of each, with wreaths round about.

E hizo en las tablas de las molduras, y en los tableros, entalladuras de querubines, de leones y de palmeras, con proporción en el espacio de cada una, y alrededor otros adornos.

37 T hus he made the ten bases. They all had one casting, one measure, and one form.

De esta forma hizo diez basas, fundidas de una misma manera, de una misma medida y de una misma entalladura.

38 T hen he made ten lavers of bronze; each laver held forty baths and measured four cubits, and there was one laver on each of the ten bases.

Hizo también diez pilas de bronce; cada una de capacidad de cuarenta batos, y cada una era de cuatro codos; y colocó una pila sobre cada una de las diez basas.

39 H e put the bases five on the south side of the house and five on the north side; and he set the Sea at the southeast corner of the house.

41 T he two pillars; and the two bowls of the capitals that were on the tops of the two pillars; and the two networks to cover the two bowls;

Las dos columnas, y los capiteles redondos que estaban en lo alto de ellas; y dos redes que cubrían los dos capiteles redondos que estaban sobre la cabeza de las columnas;

42 A nd the 400 pomegranates for the two networks, two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were upon the pillars;

cuatrocientas granadas para las dos redes, dos hileras de granadas en cada red, para cubrir los dos capiteles redondos que estaban sobre las cabezas de las columnas;

43 T he ten bases and the ten lavers on the bases;

las diez basas, y las diez pilas sobre las basas;

44 O ne Sea, and the twelve oxen under it;

45 T he pots, the shovels, and the basins. All these vessels which Hiram made for King Solomon in the house of the Lord were of burnished bronze.

46 I n the Jordan plain the king cast them, in clay ground between Succoth and Zarethan.

Todo lo hizo fundir el rey en la llanura del Jordán, en tierra arcillosa, entre Sucot y Saretán.

47 S olomon left all the vessels unweighed, because they were so many; the weight of the bronze was not found out.

Y no inquirió Salomón el peso del bronce de todos los utensilios, por la gran cantidad de ellos.

48 S olomon made all the other vessels of the Lord’s house: the altar of gold; the table of gold for the showbread;

Entonces hizo Salomón todos los enseres que pertenecían a la casa de Jehová: un altar de oro, y una mesa también de oro, sobre la cual estaban los panes de la proposición;

49 T he lampstands of pure gold, five on the right side and five on the left, in front of the Holy of Holies; with the flowers, the lamps, and the tongs of gold;

cinco candelabros de oro purísimo a la mano derecha, y otros cinco a la izquierda, frente al lugar santísimo; con las flores, las lámparas y tenazas de oro.

50 T he cups, snuffers, basins, spoons, firepans—of pure gold; and the hinges of gold for the doors of the innermost room, the Holy of Holies, and for the doors of the Holy Place.

Asimismo los cántaros, despabiladeras, tazas, cucharillas e incensarios, de oro purísimo; también de oro los quiciales de las puertas de la casa de adentro, del lugar santísimo, y los de las puertas del templo.

51 S o all the work that King Solomon did on the house of the Lord was completed. Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated—the silver, the gold, and the vessels—and put them in the treasuries of the Lord’s house.

Así se terminó toda la obra que dispuso hacer el rey Salomón para la casa de Jehová. Y metió Salomón lo que David su padre había dedicado, plata, oro y utensilios; y lo depositó todo en las tesorerías de la casa de Jehová.
