1 W ho has believed (trusted in, relied upon, and clung to) our message ? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been disclosed?

¿Quién ha dado crédito a nuestro mensaje?, ¿y a quién se ha revelado el brazo de Jehová?

2 F or grew up before Him like a tender plant, and like a root out of dry ground; He has no form or comeliness, that we should look at Him, and no beauty that we should desire Him.

Creció como un retoño delante de él, y como raíz de tierra seca; no hay apariencia en él, ni hermosura como para que le miremos, ni atractivo como para que nos deleitemos en él.

3 H e was despised and rejected and forsaken by men, a Man of sorrows and pains, and acquainted with grief and sickness; and like One from Whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we did not appreciate His worth or have any esteem for Him.

Fue despreciado y desechado de los hombres; varón de dolores y experimentado en quebranto; como uno ante quien se esconde el rostro, fue menospreciado, y no lo estimamos.

4 S urely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains, yet we considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God.

Ciertamente él llevó nuestras enfermedades, y soportó nuestros dolores; y nosotros le tuvimos por azotado, por herido de Dios y abatido. El gran sustituto

5 B ut He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes Him we are healed and made whole.

Mas él fue herido por nuestras transgresiones, molido por nuestros pecados; el castigo de nuestra paz fue sobre él, y por sus llagas fuimos nosotros curados.

6 A ll we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord has made to light upon Him the guilt and iniquity of us all.

Todos nosotros nos descarriamos como ovejas, cada cual se apartó por su camino; y Jehová cargó sobre él la iniquidad de todos nosotros.

7 H e was oppressed, He was afflicted, He was submissive and opened not His mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He opened not His mouth.

Fue oprimido, aunque se humilló a sí mismo, y no abrió su boca; como un cordero que es llevado al matadero, y como una oveja que delante de sus trasquiladores está muda, tampoco él abrió su boca.

8 B y oppression and judgment He was taken away; and as for His generation, who among them considered that He was cut off out of the land of the living for the transgression of my people, to whom the stroke was due?

Por arresto y por juicio fue quitado; y su generación, ¿quién la contará? Porque fue cortado de la tierra de los vivientes, y por la rebelión de mi pueblo fue herido.

9 A nd they assigned Him a grave with the wicked, and with a rich man in His death, although He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth.

Y se dispuso con los impíos su sepultura, mas con los ricos fue en su muerte; aunque nunca hizo maldad, ni hubo engaño en su boca.

10 Y et it was the will of the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief and made Him sick. When You and He make His life an offering for sin, He shall see His offspring, He shall prolong His days, and the will and pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.

Con todo eso, Jehová quiso quebrantarlo, sujetándole a padecimiento. Cuando haya puesto su vida en expiación por el pecado, verá descendencia, vivirá por largos días, y lo que plazca a Jehová se cumplirá por su mano.

11 H e shall see of the travail of His soul and be satisfied; by His knowledge of Himself shall My righteous One, My Servant, justify many and make many righteous (upright and in right standing with God), for He shall bear their iniquities and their guilt.

Verá el fruto de la aflicción de su alma, y quedará satisfecho; por su conocimiento justificará mi siervo justo a muchos, y llevará las iniquidades de ellos.

12 T herefore will I divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the mighty, because He poured out His life unto death, and be regarded as a criminal and be numbered with the transgressors; yet He bore the sin of many and made intercession for the transgressors (the rebellious).

Por tanto, yo le daré parte entre los grandes, y con los poderosos repartirá despojos; por cuanto derramó su vida hasta la muerte, y fue contado con los pecadores, habiendo él llevado el pecado de muchos, e intercedido por los transgresores.
