1 M oreover, the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

Vino además a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

2 A lso, son of man, thus says the Lord God to the land of Israel: An end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land.

Y tú, hijo de hombre, así dice el Señor Jehová a la tierra de Israel: El fin, el fin viene sobre los cuatro extremos de la tierra.

3 N ow is the end upon you, and I will send My anger upon you and will judge you according to your ways and will bring upon you retribution for all your abominations.

Ahora llega el fin para ti, y enviaré sobre ti mi furor, y te juzgaré según tus caminos; y traeré sobre ti todas tus abominaciones.

4 A nd My eye will not spare you, neither will I have pity; but I will bring recompense for your evil ways upon you, while your abominations are in the midst of you; and you shall know (recognize, understand, and realize) that I am the Lord.

Y mi ojo no te perdonará, ni tendré compasión; antes pondré sobre ti tus caminos, y en medio de ti quedarán patentes tus prácticas abominables; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.

5 T hus says the Lord God: Behold, an evil is coming, only one evil.

Así dice Jehová el Señor: Una desdicha, he aquí que viene una calamidad sin igual.

6 A n end has come! The end has come! awakes against you. See, it has come!

Viene el fin, el fin viene; se ha despertado contra ti; he aquí que viene.

7 Y our turn (your doom) has come upon you, O inhabitant of the land; the time has come, the day is near, a day not of joyful shouting, but a day of tumult upon the mountains.

Te llega el turno a ti, oh morador de la tierra; el tiempo viene, cercano está el día del tumulto, y no de gritos de alegría sobre los montes.

8 N ow will I shortly pour out My wrath upon you and finish spending My anger against you, and I will judge you according to your ways and will recompense you with punishment for all your abominations.

Ahora en seguida derramaré mi ira sobre ti, y desfogaré en ti mi furor, y te juzgaré según tus caminos; y traeré sobre ti todas tus abominaciones.

9 A nd My eye will not spare, nor will I have pity. I will punish you according to your ways while your abominations are right in the midst of you. And you shall know, understand, and realize that it is I the Lord Who smites you.

Y mi ojo no perdonará, ni tendré compasión; según tus caminos pondré sobre ti, y en medio de ti estarán patentes tus abominaciones; y sabréis que yo Jehová soy el que castiga.

10 B ehold, the day! Behold, it has come! Your doom has gone forth, the rod has blossomed, pride has budded.

He aquí el día, he aquí que viene; ha llegado el turno; ha florecido la vara, ha reverdecido la soberbia.

11 V iolence has grown up into a rod of wickedness; none of shall remain, none of their abundance, none of their wealth; neither shall there be preeminence among them or wailing for them.

Ha surgido la destrucción violenta para el cetro de impiedad; nada quedará de ellos, ni de su multitud, ni uno de los suyos, ni habrá entre ellos quien se lamente.

12 T he time has come, the day draws near. Let not the buyer rejoice nor the seller mourn, for wrath is upon all their multitude.

El tiempo llega, se acerca el día; el que compra, no se alegre, y el que vende, no llore, porque la ira está sobre toda la multitud.

13 F or the seller shall not return to that which is sold, even were they yet alive. For the vision is touching whole multitude; he shall not come back, neither shall any strengthen himself whose life is in his iniquity.

Porque el que vende no recuperará lo vendido, aunque quede entre los vivos; porque la visión contra toda la multitud no se revocará, y a causa de su iniquidad ninguno podrá amparar su vida.

14 T hey have blown the trumpet and have made all ready, but none goes to the battle, for My wrath is upon all their multitude.

Tocarán trompeta, y todo estará a punto, pero no habrá quien vaya a la batalla; porque mi ira está sobre toda la multitud.

15 T he sword is without and pestilence and famine are within. He who is in the field shall die by the sword, and him who is in the city shall famine and pestilence devour.

Fuera, la espada; dentro, la peste y el hambre; el que esté en el campo morirá a espada, y al que esté en la ciudad lo consumirá el hambre y la peste.

16 B ut those of them that escape shall escape, but shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them moaning, every one in his iniquity’s.

Y los que de ellos escapen con vida, huirán y estarán sobre los montes como palomas de los valles, gimiendo todos, cada uno por su iniquidad.

17 A ll hands shall be feeble and all knees shall be weak as water.

Todas las manos se debilitarán, y todas las rodillas se irán en aguas,

18 T hey shall also gird themselves with sackcloth; horror and dismay shall cover them, and shame shall be upon all faces and baldness upon all their heads.

Se ceñirán también de cilicio, y les cubrirá el terror; en todo rostro habrá vergüenza, y todas sus cabezas estarán rapadas.

19 T hey shall cast their silver into the streets, and their gold shall be like an unclean thing or rubbish; their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord; they shall not satisfy their animal cravings nor fill their stomachs with them, for has been the stumbling block of their iniquity.

Arrojarán su plata en las calles, y su oro será tenido como cosa inmunda; ni su plata ni su oro podrán librarlos en el día del furor de Jehová; no saciarán su alma, ni llenarán sus entrañas, porque les han sido tropiezo para su maldad.

20 A s for the beauty of gold for ornament, they turned it to pride and made of it the images of their abominations (idols) and of their detestable things. Therefore I will make it to them as an unclean thing.

Por cuanto convirtieron la belleza de su ornamento en soberbia, y fabricaron con ello las imágenes de sus abominaciones y de sus cosas detestables, por eso se lo convertí en cosa repugnante.

21 A nd I will give it for plunder into the hands of strangers and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil, and they shall profane it.

En mano de extraños lo entregaré como botín, y serán presa de los impíos de la tierra, y lo profanarán.

22 A lso I will turn My face from them and they shall profane My secret treasure; and robbers shall enter into it and profane it.

Y apartaré de ellos mi rostro, y será profanado mi lugar secreto; pues entrarán en él invasores y lo profanarán.

23 P repare the chain, for the land is full of bloodguiltiness and the city is full of violence.

Haz la cadena, porque la tierra está llena de delitos de sangre, y la ciudad está llena de violencia.

24 T herefore I will bring in the worst of the nations, who will take possession of the houses; I will also silence their strongholds and put an end to their proud might, and their holy places and those who sanctify them shall be profaned.

Traeré, por tanto, los más perversos de las naciones, los cuales poseerán las casas de ellos; y haré cesar la soberbia de los poderosos, y sus santuarios serán profanados.

25 D istress, panic, and destruction shall come, and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none.

Viene la ruina; y buscarán la paz, y no la habrá.

26 C alamity shall come upon calamity and rumor shall be upon rumor, and they shall seek a vision of the prophet; and the law and instruction shall cease from the priest and counsel from the elders.

Vendrá calamidad sobre calamidad, y habrá rumor sobre rumor; y buscarán visión del profeta, mas la ley se alejará del sacerdote, y de los ancianos el consejo.

27 T he king shall wear mourning and the prince shall clothe himself with garments of despair and desolation, while the hands of the people of the land shall tremble; for I will do to them in accordance with their ways, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know, recognize, and realize that I am the Lord.

El rey se enlutará, y el príncipe se revestirá de estupor, y las manos del pueblo de la tierra temblarán; según su camino haré con ellos, y según su merecido los juzgaré; y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.
