1 A nswer me when I call, O God of my righteousness (uprightness, justice, and right standing with You)! You have freed me when I was hemmed in and enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me and hear my prayer.

Respóndeme cuando clamo, oh Dios de mi justicia. Cuando estaba en angustia, tú me hiciste ensanchar; Ten misericordia de mí, y oye mi oración.

2 O you sons of men, how long will you turn my honor and glory into shame? How long will you love vanity and futility and seek after lies? Selah!

Hijos de los hombres, ¿hasta cuándo volveréis mi honra en infamia, Amaréis la vanidad, y buscaréis la mentira? Selah

3 B ut know that the Lord has set apart for Himself him who is godly. The Lord listens and heeds when I call to Him.

Sabed, pues, que Jehová ha escogido al piadoso para sí; Jehová oirá cuando yo a él clame.

4 B e angry and sin not; commune with your own hearts upon your beds and be silent (sorry for the things you say in your hearts). Selah!

Temblad, y no pequéis; Meditad en vuestro corazón estando en vuestra cama, y callad. Selah

5 O ffer just and right sacrifices; trust (lean on and be confident) in the Lord.

Ofreced sacrificios de justicia, Y confiad en Jehová.

6 M any say, Oh, that we might see some good! Lift up the light of Your countenance upon us, O Lord.

Muchos son los que dicen: ¿Quién nos mostrará el bien? Alza sobre nosotros, oh Jehová, la luz de tu rostro.

7 Y ou have put more joy and rejoicing in my heart than when their wheat and new wine have yielded abundantly.

Tú diste alegría a mi corazón Mayor que la de ellos cuando abundan en grano y en mosto.

8 I n peace I will both lie down and sleep, for You, Lord, alone make me dwell in safety and confident trust.

En paz me acostaré, y asimismo dormiré; Porque sólo tú, Jehová, me haces vivir confiado.
