1 A nd the Lord said to Moses,

Habló Jehová a Moisés, diciendo:

2 T ell Aaron, his sons, and all the Israelites, This is what the Lord has commanded:

Habla a Aarón y a sus hijos, y a todos los hijos de Israel, y diles: Esto es lo que ha mandado Jehová:

3 I f any man of the house of Israel kills an ox or lamb or goat in the camp or kills it outside the camp

Cualquier varón de la casa de Israel que degüelle buey o cordero o cabra, en el campamento o fuera de él,

4 A nd does not bring it to the door of the Tent of Meeting to offer it as an offering to the Lord before the Lord’s tabernacle, blood shall be imputed to that man; he has shed blood and shall be cut off from among his people.

y no lo traiga a la puerta del tabernáculo de reunión para ofrecer ofrenda a Jehová delante del tabernáculo de Jehová, será culpado de sangre el tal varón; sangre derramó; será cortado el tal varón de entre su pueblo,

5 T his is so that the Israelites, rather than offer their sacrifices in the open field, may bring them to the Lord at the door of the Tent of Meeting, to the priest, to offer them as peace offerings to the Lord.

a fin de que traigan los hijos de Israel sus sacrificios, los que sacrifican en medio del campo, para que los traigan a Jehová a la puerta del tabernáculo de reunión al sacerdote, y sacrifiquen ellos sacrificios de paz a Jehová.

6 A nd the priest shall dash the blood on the altar of the Lord at the door of the Tent of Meeting and burn the fat for a sweet and satisfying fragrance to the Lord.

Y el sacerdote esparcirá la sangre sobre el altar de Jehová a la puerta del tabernáculo de reunión, y quemará la gordura en olor grato a Jehová.

7 S o they shall no more offer their sacrifices to goatlike gods or demons or field spirits after which they have played the harlot. This shall be a statute forever to them throughout their generations.

Y nunca más sacrificarán sus sacrificios a los demonios, tras de los cuales han fornicado; tendrán esto por estatuto perpetuo de generación en generación.

8 A nd you shall say to them, Whoever of the house of Israel or of the strangers who dwell temporarily among you offers a burnt offering or sacrifice

Les dirás también: Cualquier varón de la casa de Israel, o de los extranjeros que moran entre vosotros, que ofrezca holocausto o sacrificio,

9 A nd does not bring it to the door of the Tent of Meeting to offer it to the Lord shall be cut off from among his people.

y no lo traiga a la puerta del tabernáculo de reunión para hacerlo a Jehová, el tal varón será igualmente cortado de su pueblo. Prohibición de comer la sangre

10 A ny one of the house of Israel or of the strangers who dwell temporarily among them who eats any kind of blood, against that person I will set My face and I will cut him off from among his people.

Si cualquier varón de la casa de Israel o de los extranjeros que moran entre ellos, come alguna sangre, yo pondré mi rostro contra la persona que coma sangre, y la cortaré de entre su pueblo.

11 F or the life (the animal soul) is in the blood, and I have given it for you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement, by reason of the life.

Porque la vida de la carne en la sangre está, y yo os la he dado para hacer expiación sobre el altar por vuestras almas; y la misma sangre hará expiación de la persona.

12 T herefore I have said to the Israelites, No person among you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger who dwells temporarily among you eat blood.

Por tanto, he dicho a los hijos de Israel: Ninguna persona de vosotros comerá sangre, ni el extranjero que mora entre vosotros comerá sangre.

13 A nd any of the Israelites or of the strangers who sojourn among them who takes in hunting any clean beast or bird shall pour out its blood and cover it with dust.

Y cualquier varón de los hijos de Israel, o de los extranjeros que moran entre ellos, que cace animal o ave que sea de comer, derramará su sangre y la cubrirá con tierra.

14 A s for the life of all flesh, the blood of it represents the life of it; therefore I said to the Israelites, You shall partake of the blood of no kind of flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood. Whoever eats of it shall be cut off.

Porque la vida de toda carne es su sangre; por tanto, he dicho a los hijos de Israel: No comeréis la sangre de ninguna carne, porque la vida de toda carne es su sangre; cualquiera que la coma será cortado.

15 A nd every person who eats what dies of itself or was torn by beasts, whether he is native-born or a temporary resident, shall wash his clothes and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until evening; then shall he be clean.

Y cualquier persona, así de los nativos como de los extranjeros, que coma animal mortecino o despedazado por fiera, lavará sus vestidos y a sí misma se lavará con agua, y será inmunda hasta la noche; entonces será limpia.

16 B ut if he does not wash his clothes or bathe his body, he shall bear his own iniquity.

Y si no los lava, ni lava su cuerpo, llevará su iniquidad.
