1 A nd the Lord said to Moses,

Entonces el Señor habló a Moisés:

2 T ell Aaron, his sons, and all the Israelites, This is what the Lord has commanded:

“Di a Aarón y a sus hijos, y a todos los Israelitas: ‘Esto es lo que el Señor ha ordenado:

3 I f any man of the house of Israel kills an ox or lamb or goat in the camp or kills it outside the camp

Cualquier hombre de la casa de Israel que degüelle un buey, un cordero o una cabra en el campamento, o el que lo degüelle fuera del campamento,

4 A nd does not bring it to the door of the Tent of Meeting to offer it as an offering to the Lord before the Lord’s tabernacle, blood shall be imputed to that man; he has shed blood and shall be cut off from among his people.

sin llevarlo a la puerta de la tienda de reunión para presentar lo como una ofrenda al Señor, delante del tabernáculo del Señor, ese hombre será culpable de la sangre. Ha derramado sangre y ese hombre será exterminado de entre su pueblo.

5 T his is so that the Israelites, rather than offer their sacrifices in the open field, may bring them to the Lord at the door of the Tent of Meeting, to the priest, to offer them as peace offerings to the Lord.

Esto es para que los Israelitas traigan los sacrificios que sacrificaban en campo abierto, los traigan al Señor a la puerta de la tienda de reunión, al sacerdote, y los sacrifiquen como sacrificios de las ofrendas de paz al Señor.

6 A nd the priest shall dash the blood on the altar of the Lord at the door of the Tent of Meeting and burn the fat for a sweet and satisfying fragrance to the Lord.

Y el sacerdote rociará la sangre sobre el altar del Señor a la puerta de la tienda de reunión, y quemará la grasa como aroma agradable al Señor.

7 S o they shall no more offer their sacrifices to goatlike gods or demons or field spirits after which they have played the harlot. This shall be a statute forever to them throughout their generations.

Y ya no sacrificarán sus sacrificios a los demonios (en forma de machos cabríos) con los cuales se prostituyen. Esto les será estatuto perpetuo por todas sus generaciones.”’

8 A nd you shall say to them, Whoever of the house of Israel or of the strangers who dwell temporarily among you offers a burnt offering or sacrifice

“Entonces les dirás: ‘Cualquier hombre de la casa de Israel, o de los extranjeros que residen entre ellos, que ofrezca holocausto o sacrificio,

9 A nd does not bring it to the door of the Tent of Meeting to offer it to the Lord shall be cut off from among his people.

y no lo traiga a la entrada de la tienda de reunión para ofrecerlo al Señor, ese hombre también será exterminado de su pueblo. Ley Acerca de la Sangre

10 A ny one of the house of Israel or of the strangers who dwell temporarily among them who eats any kind of blood, against that person I will set My face and I will cut him off from among his people.

Si algún hombre de la casa de Israel, o de los extranjeros que residen entre ellos, come sangre, Yo pondré Mi rostro contra esa persona que coma sangre, y la exterminaré de entre su pueblo.

11 F or the life (the animal soul) is in the blood, and I have given it for you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement, by reason of the life.

Porque la vida de la carne está en la sangre, y Yo se la he dado a ustedes sobre el altar para hacer expiación por sus almas. Porque es la sangre, por razón de la vida, la que hace expiación.’

12 T herefore I have said to the Israelites, No person among you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger who dwells temporarily among you eat blood.

Por tanto dije a los Israelitas: ‘Ninguna persona entre ustedes comerá sangre; tampoco comerá sangre ningún extranjero que reside entre ustedes.’

13 A nd any of the Israelites or of the strangers who sojourn among them who takes in hunting any clean beast or bird shall pour out its blood and cover it with dust.

Y cuando algún hombre de los Israelitas o de los extranjeros que residen entre ellos, que al cazar capture un animal o un ave que sea permitido comer, derramará su sangre y la cubrirá con tierra.

14 A s for the life of all flesh, the blood of it represents the life of it; therefore I said to the Israelites, You shall partake of the blood of no kind of flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood. Whoever eats of it shall be cut off.

“Porque la vida de toda carne es su sangre. Por tanto, dije a los Israelitas: ‘No comerán la sangre de ninguna carne, porque la vida de toda carne es su sangre; cualquiera que la coma será exterminado.’

15 A nd every person who eats what dies of itself or was torn by beasts, whether he is native-born or a temporary resident, shall wash his clothes and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until evening; then shall he be clean.

Y cuando alguna persona, sea nativo o extranjero, coma de un animal muerto, o que haya sido despedazado por fieras, lavará sus vestidos y se bañará en agua, y quedará inmundo hasta el atardecer; entonces quedará limpio.

16 B ut if he does not wash his clothes or bathe his body, he shall bear his own iniquity.

Pero si no los lava o no baña su cuerpo, llevará su culpa.”
