1 W e give praise and thanks to You, O God, we praise and give thanks; Your wondrous works declare that Your Name is near and they who invoke Your Name rehearse Your wonders.

4 I said to the arrogant and boastful, Deal not arrogantly; and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn.

Dije a los orgullosos: ‘No se jacten;’ Y a los impíos: ‘No alcen la frente;

5 L ift not up your horn on high, speak not with a stiff neck and insolent arrogance.

No levanten en alto su frente; No hablen con orgullo insolente.’”

6 F or not from the east nor from the west nor from the south come promotion and lifting up.

Porque ni del oriente ni del occidente, Ni del desierto viene el enaltecimiento,

7 B ut God is the Judge! He puts down one and lifts up another.

Sino que Dios es el Juez; A uno humilla y a otro ensalza.

8 F or in the hand of the Lord there is a cup, and the wine foams and is red, well mixed; and He pours out from it, and all the wicked of the earth must drain it and drink its dregs.

Porque hay una copa en la mano del Señor, y el vino se fermenta, Lleno de mixtura, y de éste El sirve; Ciertamente lo sorberán hasta el fondo y lo beberán todos los impíos de la tierra.

9 B ut I will declare and rejoice forever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

Pero yo lo anunciaré para siempre; Cantaré alabanzas al Dios de Jacob.

10 A ll the horns of the ungodly also will I cut off, but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.

Quebraré todo el poderío de los impíos, Pero el poderío del justo será ensalzado.
