1 W e give praise and thanks to You, O God, we praise and give thanks; Your wondrous works declare that Your Name is near and they who invoke Your Name rehearse Your wonders.

Hỡi Đức Chúa Trời, chúng tôi cảm tạ Chúa; Chúng tôi cảm tạ vì danh Chúa ở gần: Người ta thuật lại công việc lạ lùng của Chúa.

2 W hen the proper time has come, I will judge uprightly.

Khi ta đến thì giờ đã định, Thì sẽ đoán xét cách ngay thẳng.

3 W hen the earth totters, and all the inhabitants of it, it is I Who will poise and keep steady its pillars. Selah!

Đất với dân ở trên đất đều tan chảy; Còn ta đã dựng lên các trụ nó.

4 I said to the arrogant and boastful, Deal not arrogantly; and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn.

Tôi nói cùng kẻ kiêu ngạo rằng: Chớ ở cách kiêu ngạo; Lại nói với kẻ ác rằng: Chớ ngước sừng lên;

5 L ift not up your horn on high, speak not with a stiff neck and insolent arrogance.

Chớ ngước sừng các ngươi cao lên, Cũng đừng cứng cổ mà nói cách kỳ khôi.

6 F or not from the east nor from the west nor from the south come promotion and lifting up.

Vì chẳng phải từ phương đông, phương tây, Hay là từ phương nam, mà có sự tôn cao đến.

7 B ut God is the Judge! He puts down one and lifts up another.

Bèn là Đức Chúa Trời đoán xét: Ngài hạ kẻ nầy xuống, nhắc kẻ kia lên.

8 F or in the hand of the Lord there is a cup, and the wine foams and is red, well mixed; and He pours out from it, and all the wicked of the earth must drain it and drink its dregs.

Vì trong tay Đức Giê-hô-va có cái chén Sôi bọt rượu; chén đầy rượu pha, Ngài rót nó ra: thật hết thảy kẻ ác nơi thế gian sẽ hút cặn rượu ấy, Và uống nó.

9 B ut I will declare and rejoice forever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

Song tôi sẽ thuật lại các điều đó luôn luôn, Cũng sẽ hát ngợi khen Đức Chúa Trời của Gia-cốp.

10 A ll the horns of the ungodly also will I cut off, but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.

Tôi sẽ chặt hết thảy các sừng kẻ ác; Còn các sừng của người công bình sẽ được ngước lên.
