1 H owever, brethren, I could not talk to you as to spiritual, but as to nonspiritual, as to mere infants in Christ '> unable to talk yet!]

Así que yo, hermanos, no pude hablarles como a espirituales, sino como a carnales, como a niños en Cristo.

2 I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not yet strong enough; but even yet you are not strong enough,

Les di a beber leche, no alimento sólido, porque todavía no podían recibirlo. En verdad, ni aun ahora pueden,

3 F or you are still of the flesh. For as long as envying and jealousy and wrangling and factions among you, are you not unspiritual and of the flesh, behaving yourselves after a human standard and like mere (unchanged) men?

porque todavía son carnales. Pues habiendo celos y discusiones entre ustedes, ¿no son carnales y andan como hombres del mundo ?

4 F or when one says, I belong to Paul, and another, I belong to Apollos, are you not ordinary (unchanged) men?

Porque cuando uno dice: “Yo soy de Pablo,” y otro: “Yo soy de Apolos,” ¿no son como hombres del mundo ?

5 W hat then is Apollos? What is Paul? Ministering servants through whom you believed, even as the Lord appointed to each his task:

¿Qué es, pues, Apolos? ¿Y qué es Pablo? Servidores mediante los cuales ustedes han creído, según el Señor dio oportunidad a cada uno.

6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God was making it grow and gave the increase.

Yo planté, Apolos regó, pero Dios ha dado el crecimiento.

7 S o neither he who plants is anything nor he who waters, but God Who makes it grow and become greater.

Así que ni el que planta ni el que riega es algo, sino Dios, que da el crecimiento.

8 H e who plants and he who waters are equal (one in aim, of the same importance and esteem), yet each shall receive his own reward (wages), according to his own labor.

Ahora bien, el que planta y el que riega son una misma cosa, pero cada uno recibirá su propia recompensa (su propio salario) conforme a su propio trabajo.

9 F or we are fellow workmen (joint promoters, laborers together) with and for God; you are God’s garden and vineyard and field under cultivation, God’s building.

Porque nosotros somos colaboradores en la labor de Dios, y ustedes son el campo de cultivo de Dios, el edificio de Dios. Jesucristo, Unico Cimiento

10 A ccording to the grace (the special endowment for my task) of God bestowed on me, like a skillful architect and master builder I laid foundation, and now another is building upon it. But let each be careful how he builds upon it,

Conforme a la gracia de Dios que me fue dada, yo, como sabio arquitecto, puse el fundamento, y otro edifica sobre él. Pero cada uno tenga cuidado cómo edifica encima.

11 F or no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

Pues nadie puede poner otro fundamento que el que ya está puesto, el cual es Jesucristo.

12 B ut if anyone builds upon the Foundation, whether it be with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw,

Ahora bien, si sobre este fundamento alguien edifica con oro, plata, piedras preciosas, madera, heno, paja,

13 T he work of each will become known (shown for what it is); for the day will disclose and declare it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test and critically appraise the character and worth of the work each person has done.

la obra de cada uno se hará evidente; porque el día la dará a conocer, pues con fuego será revelada. El fuego mismo probará la calidad de la obra de cada uno.

14 I f the work which any person has built on this Foundation survives, he will get his reward.

Si permanece la obra de alguien que ha edificado sobre el fundamento, recibirá recompensa.

15 B ut if any person’s work is burned up, he will suffer the loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire.

Si la obra de alguien es consumida por el fuego, sufrirá pérdida; sin embargo, él será salvo, aunque así como a través del fuego. Ustedes son Templo de Dios

16 D o you not discern and understand that you are God’s temple (His sanctuary), and that God’s Spirit has His permanent dwelling in you '> collectively as a church and also individually]?

17 I f anyone does hurt to God’s temple or corrupts it '> with false doctrines] or destroys it, God will do hurt to him and bring him to the corruption of death and destroy him. For the temple of God is holy (sacred to Him) and that you '> the believing church and its individual believers] are.

Si alguno destruye el templo de Dios, Dios lo destruirá a él, porque el templo de Dios es santo, y eso es lo que ustedes son. Ustedes son de Cristo

18 L et no person deceive himself. If anyone among you supposes that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.

Nadie se engañe a sí mismo. Si alguien de ustedes se cree sabio según este mundo, hágase necio a fin de llegar a ser sabio.

19 F or this world’s wisdom is foolishness (absurdity and stupidity) with God, for it is written, He lays hold of the wise in their craftiness;

Porque la sabiduría de este mundo es necedad ante Dios. Pues escrito está: “El es el que prende a los sabios en su propia astucia.”

20 A nd again, The Lord knows the thoughts and reasonings of the wise and recognizes how futile they are.

Y también: “ El Señor conoce los razonamientos de los sabios, los cuales son inutiles.”

21 S o let no one exult proudly concerning men, for all things are yours,

Así que nadie se jacte (se gloríe) en los hombres, porque todo es de ustedes:

22 W hether Paul or Apollos or Cephas (Peter), or the universe or life or death, or the immediate and threatening present or the future—all are yours,

ya sea Pablo, o Apolos, o Cefas (Pedro), o el mundo, o la vida, o la muerte, o lo presente, o lo por venir, todo es suyo,

23 A nd you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.

y ustedes de Cristo, y Cristo de Dios.
