1 W hen Jesus came down from the mountain, great throngs followed Him.
Cuando Jesús bajó del monte, grandes multitudes Lo seguían.
2 A nd behold, a leper came up to Him and, prostrating himself, worshiped Him, saying, Lord, if You are willing, You are able to cleanse me by curing me.
Y se acercó un leproso y se postró ante El, diciendo: “Señor, si quieres, puedes limpiarme.”
3 A nd He reached out His hand and touched him, saying, I am willing; be cleansed by being cured. And instantly his leprosy was cured and cleansed.
Extendiendo Jesús la mano, lo tocó, diciendo: “Quiero; sé limpio.” Y al instante quedó limpio de su lepra.
4 A nd Jesus said to him, See that you tell nothing about this to anyone; but go, show yourself to the priest and present the offering that Moses commanded, for a testimony and as an evidence to the people.
Entonces Jesús le dijo: “Mira, no se lo digas a nadie, sino ve, muéstrate al sacerdote y presenta la ofrenda que ordenó Moisés, para que les sirva de testimonio a ellos.” Jesús Sana al Criado del Centurión
5 A s Jesus went into Capernaum, a centurion came up to Him, begging Him,
Al entrar Jesús en Capernaúm, se acercó un centurión y Le suplicó:
6 A nd saying, Lord, my servant boy is lying at the house paralyzed and distressed with intense pains.
“Señor, mi criado está postrado en casa, paralítico, sufriendo mucho.”
7 A nd Jesus said to him, I will come and restore him.
Y Jesús le dijo: “Yo iré y lo sanaré.”
8 B ut the centurion replied to Him, Lord, I am not worthy or fit to have You come under my roof; but only speak the word, and my servant boy will be cured.
Pero el centurión respondió: “Señor, no soy digno de que Tú entres bajo mi techo; solamente di la palabra y mi criado quedará sano.
9 F or I also am a man subject to authority, with soldiers subject to me. And I say to one, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my slave, Do this, and he does it.
Porque yo también soy hombre bajo autoridad, con soldados a mis órdenes; y digo a éste: ‘Ve,’ y va; y al otro: ‘Ven,’ y viene; y a mi siervo: ‘Haz esto,’ y lo hace.”
10 W hen Jesus heard him, He marveled and said to those who followed Him '> who adhered steadfastly to Him, conforming to His example in living and, if need be, in dying also], I tell you truly, I have not found so much faith as this with anyone, even in Israel.
Al oír lo Jesús, se maravilló y dijo a los que Lo seguían: “En verdad les digo que en Israel no he hallado en nadie una fe tan grande.
11 I tell you, many will come from east and west, and will sit at table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven,
Y les digo que vendrán muchos del oriente y del occidente, y se sentarán a la mesa con Abraham, Isaac y Jacob en el reino de los cielos.
12 W hile the sons and heirs of the kingdom will be driven out into the darkness outside, where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.
Pero los hijos del reino serán arrojados a las tinieblas de afuera; allí será el llanto y el crujir de dientes.”
13 T hen to the centurion Jesus said, Go; it shall be done for you as you have believed. And the servant boy was restored to health at that very moment.
Entonces Jesús dijo al centurión: “Vete; así como has creído, te sea hecho.” Y el criado fue sanado en esa misma hora. Jesús Sana a la Suegra de Pedro y a Muchos Otros
14 A nd when Jesus went into Peter’s house, He saw his mother-in-law lying ill with a fever.
Cuando Jesús llegó a casa de Pedro, vio a la suegra de éste que estaba en cama con fiebre.
15 H e touched her hand and the fever left her; and she got up and began waiting on Him.
Le tocó la mano, y la fiebre la dejó; y ella se levantó y Le servía.
16 W hen evening came, they brought to Him many who were under the power of demons, and He drove out the spirits with a word and restored to health all who were sick.
Y al atardecer, Le trajeron muchos endemoniados; y expulsó a los espíritus con Su palabra, y sanó a todos los que estaban enfermos,
17 A nd thus He fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah, He Himself took '> in order to carry away] our weaknesses and infirmities and bore away our diseases.
para que se cumpliera lo que fue dicho por medio del profeta Isaías cuando dijo: “ El tomo nuestras flaquezas y llevo nuestras enfermedades.” Lo que Demanda el Discipulado
18 N ow Jesus, when He saw the great throngs around Him, gave orders to cross to the other side.
Viendo Jesús una multitud a Su alrededor, dio orden de pasar al otro lado del mar.
19 A nd a scribe came up and said to Him, Master, I will accompany You wherever You go.
Y un escriba se acercó y Le dijo: “Maestro, Te seguiré adondequiera que vayas.”
20 A nd Jesus replied to him, Foxes have holes and the birds of the air have lodging places, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.
Jesús le respondió: “Las zorras tienen madrigueras (cuevas) y las aves del cielo nidos, pero el Hijo del Hombre no tiene dónde recostar la cabeza.”
21 A nother of the disciples said to Him, Lord, let me first go and bury '> care for till death] my father.
Otro de los discípulos Le dijo: “Señor, permíteme que vaya primero y entierre a mi padre.”
22 B ut Jesus said to him, Follow Me, and leave the dead '> in sin] to bury their own dead.
Pero Jesús le contestó: “Ven tras Mí, y deja que los muertos entierren a sus muertos.” Jesús Calma la Tempestad
23 A nd after He got into the boat, His disciples followed Him.
Cuando entró Jesús en la barca, Sus discípulos Lo siguieron.
24 A nd suddenly, behold, there arose a violent storm on the sea, so that the boat was being covered up by the waves; but He was sleeping.
Y de pronto se desató una gran tormenta en el mar de Galilea, de modo que las olas cubrían la barca; pero Jesús estaba dormido.
25 A nd they went and awakened Him, saying, Lord, rescue and preserve us! We are perishing!
Llegándose a El, Lo despertaron, diciendo: “¡Señor, sálva nos, que perecemos!”
26 A nd He said to them, Why are you timid and afraid, O you of little faith? Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great and wonderful calm ( a perfect peaceableness).
Y El les contestó: “¿Por qué tienen miedo, hombres de poca fe ?” Entonces Jesús se levantó, reprendió a los vientos y al mar, y sobrevino una gran calma.
27 A nd the men were stunned with bewildered wonder and marveled, saying, What kind of Man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him!
Los hombres se maravillaron, y decían: “¿Quién es Este, que aun los vientos y el mar Lo obedecen?” Los Endemoniados Gadarenos
28 A nd when He arrived at the other side in the country of the Gadarenes, two men under the control of demons went to meet Him, coming out of the tombs, so fierce and savage that no one was able to pass that way.
Al llegar Jesús al otro lado, a la tierra de los Gadarenos, fueron a Su encuentro dos endemoniados que salían de los sepulcros, violentos en extremo, de manera que nadie podía pasar por aquel camino.
29 A nd behold, they shrieked and screamed, What have You to do with us, Jesus, Son of God? Have You come to torment us before the appointed time?
Y gritaron: “¿Qué hay entre Tú y nosotros, Hijo de Dios ? ¿Has venido aquí para atormentarnos antes del tiempo (designado para el juicio)?”
30 N ow at some distance from there a drove of many hogs was grazing.
A cierta distancia de ellos estaba paciendo una manada de muchos cerdos;
31 A nd the demons begged Him, If You drive us out, send us into the drove of hogs.
y los demonios Le rogaban: “Si vas a echarnos fuera, mándanos a la manada de cerdos.”
32 A nd He said to them, Begone! So they came out and went into the hogs, and behold, the whole drove rushed down the steep bank into the sea and died in the water.
“¡Vayan!” les dijo Jesús. Y ellos salieron y entraron en los cerdos; y la manada entera se precipitó por un despeñadero al mar, y perecieron en las aguas.
33 T he herdsmen fled and went into the town and reported everything, including what had happened to the men under the power of demons.
Los que cuidaban la manada huyeron; y fueron a la ciudad y lo contaron todo, incluso lo de los endemoniados.
34 A nd behold, the whole town went out to meet Jesus; and as soon as they saw Him, they begged Him to depart from their locality.
Y toda la ciudad salió al encuentro de Jesús; y cuando Lo vieron, Le rogaron que se fuera de su región.
