1 T e damos gracias, oh Dios, Te damos gracias, Pues cercano está Tu nombre; Los hombres declaran Tus maravillas.

We give praise and thanks to You, O God, we praise and give thanks; Your wondrous works declare that Your Name is near and they who invoke Your Name rehearse Your wonders.

2 “ Cuando Yo escoja el tiempo oportuno, Seré Yo quien juzgará con equidad.

When the proper time has come, I will judge uprightly.

3 T iemblan la tierra y todos sus moradores, Pero Yo sostengo sus columnas. (Selah)

When the earth totters, and all the inhabitants of it, it is I Who will poise and keep steady its pillars. Selah!

4 D ije a los orgullosos: ‘No se jacten;’ Y a los impíos: ‘No alcen la frente;

I said to the arrogant and boastful, Deal not arrogantly; and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn.

5 N o levanten en alto su frente; No hablen con orgullo insolente.’”

Lift not up your horn on high, speak not with a stiff neck and insolent arrogance.

6 P orque ni del oriente ni del occidente, Ni del desierto viene el enaltecimiento,

For not from the east nor from the west nor from the south come promotion and lifting up.

7 S ino que Dios es el Juez; A uno humilla y a otro ensalza.

But God is the Judge! He puts down one and lifts up another.

8 P orque hay una copa en la mano del Señor, y el vino se fermenta, Lleno de mixtura, y de éste El sirve; Ciertamente lo sorberán hasta el fondo y lo beberán todos los impíos de la tierra.

For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup, and the wine foams and is red, well mixed; and He pours out from it, and all the wicked of the earth must drain it and drink its dregs.

9 P ero yo lo anunciaré para siempre; Cantaré alabanzas al Dios de Jacob.

But I will declare and rejoice forever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

10 Q uebraré todo el poderío de los impíos, Pero el poderío del justo será ensalzado.

All the horns of the ungodly also will I cut off, but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.
