1 B ueno es dar gracias al Señor, Y cantar alabanzas a Tu nombre, oh Altísimo;

It is a good and delightful thing to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to Your name, O Most High,

2 A nunciar por la mañana Tu bondad, Y Tu fidelidad por las noches,

To show forth Your loving-kindness in the morning and Your faithfulness by night,

3 C on laúd de diez cuerdas y con el arpa, Con la música sonora de la lira.

With an instrument of ten strings and with the lute, with a solemn sound upon the lyre.

4 P orque Tú, oh Señor, me has alegrado con Tus obras, Cantaré con gozo ante las obras de Tus manos.

For You, O Lord, have made me glad by Your works; at the deeds of Your hands I joyfully sing.

5 ¡ Qué grandes son Tus obras, oh Señor, Cuán profundos Tus pensamientos!

How great are Your doings, O Lord! Your thoughts are very deep.

6 E l hombre torpe no tiene conocimiento, Y el necio no entiende esto:

A man in his rude and uncultivated state knows not, neither does a fool understand this:

7 Q ue cuando los impíos brotaron como la hierba, Y florecieron todos los que hacían iniquidad, Sólo fue para ser destruidos para siempre.

That though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they are doomed to be destroyed forever.

8 P ero Tú, oh Señor, excelso eres eternamente.

But You, Lord, are on high forever.

9 P orque Tus enemigos, Señor, Porque Tus enemigos perecerán; Serán esparcidos todos los que hacen iniquidad.

For behold, Your adversaries, O Lord, for behold, Your enemies shall perish; all the evildoers shall be scattered.

10 P ero Tú has exaltado mi poder como el del búfalo; He sido ungido con aceite fresco.

But my horn (emblem of excessive strength and stately grace) You have exalted like that of a wild ox; I am anointed with fresh oil.

11 M is ojos satisfechos han mirado a los que me acechaban, Y oyen mis oídos de los malhechores que se levantan contra mí.

My eye looks upon those who lie in wait for me; my ears hear the evildoers that rise up against me.

12 E l justo florecerá como la palma, Crecerá como cedro en el Líbano.

The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree; they shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

13 P lantados en la casa del Señor, Florecerán en los atrios de nuestro Dios.

Planted in the house of the Lord, they shall flourish in the courts of our God.

14 A un en la vejez darán fruto; Estarán vigorosos y muy verdes,

they shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap and verdure.

15 P ara anunciar cuán recto es el Señor; El es mi Roca, y que en El no hay injusticia.

to show that the Lord is upright and faithful to His promises; He is my Rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
