1 ( По слав. 91). Псалом. Песен за съботния ден. Добро е да славословим Господа И да пеем хваление на Твоето име, Всевишни,

It is a good and delightful thing to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to Your name, O Most High,

2 Д а възвестяваме на ранина милосърдието Ти, И верността Ти всяка нощ,

To show forth Your loving-kindness in the morning and Your faithfulness by night,

3 С десетострунен инструмент и с псалтир, С тържествена мелодия на арфа;

With an instrument of ten strings and with the lute, with a solemn sound upon the lyre.

4 З ащото си ме развеселил, Господи, с деянията Си; С тържествена мелодия на арфа;

For You, O Lord, have made me glad by Your works; at the deeds of Your hands I joyfully sing.

5 К олко са велики Твоите дала, Господи! Твърде дълбоки са мислите Ти.

How great are Your doings, O Lord! Your thoughts are very deep.

6 С котски човек не знае това, Нито го разбира безумен,

A man in his rude and uncultivated state knows not, neither does a fool understand this:

7 Ч е нечестивите изникват като тревата, И всички, които вършат беззаконие, цъфтят, Само за да се изтребят вечно.

That though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they are doomed to be destroyed forever.

8 Н о Ти, Господи, до века си на високо,

But You, Lord, are on high forever.

9 З ащото, ето, враговете Ти ще погинат; Ще се разпръснат всички, които вършат беззаконие.

For behold, Your adversaries, O Lord, for behold, Your enemies shall perish; all the evildoers shall be scattered.

10 Н о моя рог Ти ще въздигнеш като рог на дивия вол; Аз ще бъда помазан с прясно миро;

But my horn (emblem of excessive strength and stately grace) You have exalted like that of a wild ox; I am anointed with fresh oil.

11 И окото ми ще види повалянето на ония, които ме причакват; Ушите ми ще чуят за възмездието на злодейците, които се дигат против мене.

My eye looks upon those who lie in wait for me; my ears hear the evildoers that rise up against me.

12 П раведният ще цъфти като палма, Ще расте като кедър в Ливан;

The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree; they shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

13 Н асадени в дома Господен Ще цъфтят в дворовете на нашия Бог.

Planted in the house of the Lord, they shall flourish in the courts of our God.

14 Щ е бъдат плодоносни и в дълбока старост, Ще бъдат сочни и зелени;

they shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap and verdure.

15 З а да възвестят, че е праведен Господ, Моята канара, у Когото няма неправда.

to show that the Lord is upright and faithful to His promises; He is my Rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
