1 З ащото, ето, Господ, Иеова на Силите, Ще отнеме от Ерусалим и от Юда подкрепата и подпорката, - Всяка подкрепа от хляб и всяка подкрепа от вода.

For behold, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, is taking away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread and the whole stay of water,

2 В секи силен и всеки ратник, Съдията и пророка, чародея и стареца,

The mighty man and the man of war, the judge and the prophet, the one who foretells by divination and the old man,

3 П етдесетника и почтения и съветника, Изкусния художник и вещия баяч.

The captain of fifty and the man of rank, the counselor and the expert craftsman and the skillful enchanter.

4 И ще им дам деца за князе, Които детински ще владеят над тях

And I will make boys their princes, and with childishness shall they rule over them.

5 И людете ще бъдат угнетявани човек от човека, И всеки от ближния си; Детето ще се големее против стареца, И нищожният против почтения.

And the people shall be oppressed, each one by another, and each one by his neighbor; the child shall behave himself proudly and with insolence against the old man, and the lowborn against the honorable.

6 К огато човек улови брата си от бащиния си дом, и му каже: Ти имаш облекло, стани ни управител, И нека бъде под твоя ръка това разорено място, -

When a man shall take hold of his brother in the house of his father, saying, You have a robe, you shall be our judge and ruler, and this heap of ruins shall be under your control—

7 В същия ден той ще се закълне, казвайки: Не ще да стана поправач, Защото в къщата ми няма ни хляб ни облекло; Няма да ме поставите управител на людете,

In that day he will answer, saying, I will not be a healer and one who binds up; I am not a physician. For in my house is neither bread nor clothing; you shall not make me judge and ruler of the people.

8 З ащото Ерусалим рухна, Юда падна, Понеже и каквото говорят и каквото правят са противни на Господа, И дразнят славните Му очи.

For Jerusalem is ruined and Judah is fallen, because their speech and their deeds are against the Lord, to provoke the eyes of His glory and defy His glorious presence.

9 И згледът на лицето им свидетелствува против тях; И те, като Содом, вършат греха си явно, на го крият. Горко на душата им! Защото сами на себе си въздадоха зло.

Their respecting of persons and showing of partiality witnesses against them; they proclaim their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! For they have brought evil.

10 К ажете на праведника, че ще му бъде добре, Защото всеки такъв ще яде плода на делата си.

Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their deeds.

11 Г орко на беззаконника! нему ще бъде зле, Защото въздаянието му ще бъдат делата на ръцете му.

Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with them, for what their hands have done shall be done to them.

12 А за Моите люде, - деца ги угнетяват, И жени владеят над тях. Люде Мои, вашите водители ви правят да заблуждавате, И развалят пътя, по който ходите.

As for My people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O My people, your leaders cause you to err, and they confuse (destroy and swallow up) the course of your paths.

13 Г оспод става за съд, И застава да съди племената.

The Lord stands up to contend, and stands to judge the peoples and His people.

14 Г оспод ще влезе в съд със старейшините на людете Си и с князете им, И ще им каже: Вие сте, които сте похабили лозето! Ограбеното от сиромаха е в къщите ви!

The Lord enters into judgment with the elders of His people and their princes: For you have devoured the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses.

15 З ащо разломявате людете Ми и смилате лицата на сиромасите? Казва Господ Иеова на силите.

What do you mean by crushing My people and grinding the faces of the poor? says the Lord God of hosts.

16 П ри това, казва Господ: Понеже сионските дъщери са горди, И ходят с надигната шия и с безсрамни очи, Ходят тоже ситно, и дрънкат с нозете си,

Moreover, the Lord said, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty and walk with outstretched necks and with undisciplined (flirtatious and alluring) eyes, tripping along with mincing and affected gait, and making a tinkling noise with their feet,

17 З атова Господ ще удари с краста темето на сионските дъщери, И Господ ще открие голотата им.

Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the heads of the daughters of Zion, and the Lord will cause them to be stripped naked.

18 В същия ден Господ ще отнеме Славата на дрънкалките, Мрежените забрадки и луничките

In that day the Lord will take away the finery of their tinkling anklets, the caps of network, the crescent head ornaments,

19 О беците, гривните и тънките була,

The pendants, the bracelets or chains, and the spangled face veils and scarfs,

20 И главовръзките, верижките около глезените и поясите, Парфюмните кутии и хамайлиите,

The headbands, the short ankle chains, the sashes, the perfume boxes, the amulets or charms,

21 П ръстените и обеците на носа,

The signet rings and nose rings,

22 М антелата и туниките, шаловете и кесиите,

The festal robes, the cloaks, the stoles and shawls, and the handbags,

23 О гледалата и тънките ризи, чалмите и покривалата.

The hand mirrors, the fine linen, the turbans, and the veils.

24 И вместо благоухание ще има гнилота, Вместо пояс, въже, Вместо накъдрени коси, плешивост, Вместо нагръдник, опасване с вретище, И вместо красота, белези от изгаряне.

And it shall come to pass that instead of the sweet odor of spices there shall be the stench of rottenness; and instead of a girdle, a rope; and instead of well-set hair, baldness; and instead of a rich robe, a girding of sackcloth; and searing instead of beauty.

25 М ажете ти ще паднат от нож, И силата ти във война.

Your men shall fall by the sword, and your mighty men in battle.

26 И портите на Сиона ще охкат и ще плачат; И той ще седи на земята изоставен.

And gates shall lament and mourn; and she, being ruined and desolate, shall sit upon the ground.
