1 ( По слав. 105). Алилуя. Славете Господа, защото е благ. Защото неговата милост трае до века.

Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!) O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever!

2 К ой може да изкаже мощните дела на Господа, Или да разгласи всичките Негови хвали?

Who can put into words and tell the mighty deeds of the Lord? Or who can show forth all the praise ?

3 Б лажени ония, които пазят правосъдие; Блажен оня, който върши правда на всяко време.

Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are those who observe justice and who do right and are in right standing with God at all times.

4 П омни ме, Господи, с благоволението, което питаеш към Людете Си; Посети ме със спасението Си;

remember me, O Lord, when You favor Your people! O visit me also when You deliver them, and grant me Your salvation!—

5 З а да видя благоденствието на Твоите избрани, За да се радвам във веселието на народа Ти, За да се хваля заедно с Твоето наследство.

That I may see and share the welfare of Your chosen ones, that I may rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, that I may glory with Your heritage.

6 С ъгрешихме ние и бащите ни, Беззаконие и нечестие сторихме.

We have sinned, as did also our fathers; we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.

7 Б ащите ни не разсъждаваха за Твоите чудесни дела в Египет, Не си спомняха многото Твои милости, Но се възпротивиха при морето, при Червеното море.

Our fathers in Egypt understood not nor appreciated Your miracles; they did not remember the multitude of Your mercies nor imprint Your loving-kindness, but they were rebellious and provoked the Lord at the sea, even at the Red Sea.

8 П ри все това Бог ги избави заради името Си, За да направи познато могъществото Си.

Nevertheless He saved them for His name’s sake, that He might make His mighty power known.

9 С мъмра Червеното море, и то изсъхна; И така ги преведе през дълбочините като през пасбище,

He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it dried up; so He led them through the depths as through a pastureland.

10 И ги спаси от ръката на ненавистника им, И ги изкупи от ръката на неприятеля.

And He saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

11 В одите покриха противниците им; Не остана ни един от тях.

And the waters covered their adversaries; not one of them was left.

12 Т огава повярваха думите Му, Пееха хвалата Му.

Then believed His words; they sang His praise.

13 Н о скоро забравиха делата Му, Не чакаха изпълнението на намерението Му,

But they hastily forgot His works; they did not wait for His plans regarding them,

14 Н о се полакомиха твърде много в пустинята, И изпитаха Бога в безводната страна;

But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness and tempted and tried to restrain God in the desert.

15 И Той им даде това, което искаха; Прати, обаче, мършавост на душите им.

And He gave them their request, but sent leanness into their souls and disease and death.

16 С ъщо и на Моисея те завидяха в стана. И на Господния светия Аарон.

They envied Moses also in the camp, and Aaron, the holy one of the Lord.

17 З емята се затвори та погълна Датана, И покри Авироновата дружина;

Therefore the earth opened and swallowed up Dathan and closed over the company of Abiram.

18 И огън се запали в дружината им; Пламък изгори нечестивите.

And a fire broke out in their company; the flame burned up the wicked.

19 Т е направиха теле в Хорив, И поклониха се на излеян идол;

They made a calf in Horeb and worshiped a molten image.

20 Т ака размениха Славата си Срещу подобие на вол, който яде трева!

Thus they exchanged Him Who was their Glory for the image of an ox that eats grass!

21 З абравиха своя избавител Бог, Който беше извършил велики дела в Египет,

They forgot God their Savior, Who had done such great things in Egypt,

22 Ч удесни дела в Хамовата земя, Страшни неща около Червеното море.

Wonders and miracles in the land of Ham, dreadful and awesome things at the Red Sea.

23 З атова Той каза, че ще ги изтреби; Само че избраният му Моисей застана пред Него в пролома За да отвърне гнева Му, да не би да ги погуби.

Therefore He said He would destroy them. had not Moses, His chosen one, stepped into the breach before Him to turn away His threatening wrath.

24 Д ори те презряха желаната земя, Не повярваха Неговото слово,

Then they spurned and despised the pleasant and desirable land; they believed not His word;

25 А пороптаха в шатрите си, И не послушаха гласа на Господа.

But they murmured in their tents and hearkened not to the voice of the Lord.

26 З атова Той им се закле, Че ще ги повали в пустинята,

Therefore He lifted up His hand against them, that He would cause them to fall in the wilderness,

27 И че ще повали потомството им между народите, И ще ги разпръсне по разни страни,

Cast out their descendants among the nations, and scatter them in the lands.

28 Т оже те се прилепиха към Ваалфегора, И ядоха жертви принесени на мъртви богове.

They joined themselves also to the Baal of Peor and ate sacrifices to the lifeless.

29 И тъй, предизвикаха Бога с делата си До толкова щото язвата направи пролом между тях.

Thus they provoked the Lord to anger with their practices, and a plague broke out among them.

30 Н о стана Финеес и извърши посредничество, Та язвата престана;

Then stood up Phinehas and executed judgment, and so the plague was stayed.

31 И това му се вмени за правда Из род в род до века.

And that was credited to him for righteousness (right doing and right standing with God) to all generations forever.

32 С ъщо и при водите на Мерива те Го разгневиха, Така щото стана зле с Моисея поради тях;

They angered the Lord also at the waters of Meribah, so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes;

33 З ащото се възбунтуваха против Духа Му, Та Моисей говори несмислено с устните си.

For they provoked spirit, so that he spoke unadvisedly with his lips.

34 П ри това, те не изтребиха племената Според както Господ им бе заповядал,

They did not destroy the nations as the Lord commanded them,

35 Н о се смесиха с тия народи, И се научиха на техните дела;

But mingled themselves with the nations and learned their ways and works

36 Т ъй щото служиха на идолите им, Които станаха примка за тях.

And served their idols, which were a snare to them.

37 Д а! Синовете и дъщерите си Принесоха в жертва на бесовете,

Yes, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons

38 И проляха невинна кръв, кръвта на синовете си и на дъщерите си, Които пожертвуваха на ханаанските идоли; И земята се оскверни от кръвопролития.

And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; and the land was polluted with their blood.

39 Т ака те се оскверниха от делата си, И блудствуваха в деянията си.

Thus were they defiled by their own works, and they played the harlot and practiced idolatry with their own deeds.

40 З атова гневът на Господа пламна против людете Му И Той се погнуси от наследството Си.

Therefore was the wrath of the Lord kindled against His people, insomuch that He abhorred and rejected His own heritage.

41 П редаде ги в ръцете на народите; И завладяха ги ненавистниците им.

And He gave them into the hands of the nations, and they that hated them ruled over them.

42 Н еприятелите им още ги притесняваха; И те останаха подчинени под ръката им.

Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under the hand of their foes.

43 М ного пъти Той ги избавя; Но, понеже намеренията им бяха бунтовнически, Затова се и унищожиха поради беззаконието си.

Many times did deliver them, but they were rebellious in their counsel and sank low through their iniquity.

44 В ъпреки това, обаче, Той погледна на утеснението им, Когато чу вика им;

Nevertheless He regarded their distress when He heard their cry;

45 С помни си за тях Своя завет, И разкая се според голямата Си милост;

And He remembered for their sake His covenant and relented their sentence of evil according to the abundance of His mercy and loving-kindness.

46 Т оже стори да ги съжаляват Всички, които ги бяха пленили.

He also caused to find sympathy among those who had carried them away captive.

47 И збави ни, Господи Боже наш, И събери ни измежду народите, За да славословим Твоето свето име, И да тържествуваме с Твоята хвала.

Deliver us, O Lord our God, and gather us from among the nations, that we may give thanks to Your holy name and glory in praising You.

48 Б лагословен да е Господ Израилевият Бог от века до века; И всичките люде да рекат: Амин. Алилуя.

Blessed (affectionately and gratefully praised) be the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! And let all the people say, Amen! Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)
