1 B ueno es alabar al SEÑOR, y cantar salmos a tu Nombre, oh Altísimo;

It is a good and delightful thing to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to Your name, O Most High,

2 a nunciar por la mañana tu misericordia, y tu fidelidad en las noches,

To show forth Your loving-kindness in the morning and Your faithfulness by night,

3 e n el decacordio y en el salterio, en tono suave con el arpa.

With an instrument of ten strings and with the lute, with a solemn sound upon the lyre.

4 P or cuanto me has alegrado, oh SEÑOR, con tus obras; en las obras de tus manos me gozo.

For You, O Lord, have made me glad by Your works; at the deeds of Your hands I joyfully sing.

5 ¡ Cuán grandes son tus obras, oh SEÑOR! Muy profundos son tus pensamientos.

How great are Your doings, O Lord! Your thoughts are very deep.

6 E l hombre necio no sabe, y el loco no entiende esto:

A man in his rude and uncultivated state knows not, neither does a fool understand this:

7 ¶ Florezcan los impíos como la hierba, y reverdezcan todos los que obran iniquidad, para ser destruidos para siempre.

That though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they are doomed to be destroyed forever.

8 M as tú, SEÑOR, para siempre eres Altísimo.

But You, Lord, are on high forever.

9 P orque he aquí tus enemigos, oh SEÑOR, porque he aquí tus enemigos perecerán; serán disipados todos los que obran maldad.

For behold, Your adversaries, O Lord, for behold, Your enemies shall perish; all the evildoers shall be scattered.

10 Y tú ensalzaste mi cuerno como de unicornio; fue ungido con óleo verde.

But my horn (emblem of excessive strength and stately grace) You have exalted like that of a wild ox; I am anointed with fresh oil.

11 Y miraron mis ojos mi deseo sobre mis enemigos; oyeron mis oídos mi deseo de los que se levantaron contra mí, de los malignos.

My eye looks upon those who lie in wait for me; my ears hear the evildoers that rise up against me.

12 E l justo florecerá como la palma; crecerá como cedro en el Líbano.

The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree; they shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

13 P lantados en la Casa del SEÑOR, en los atrios de nuestro Dios florecerán.

Planted in the house of the Lord, they shall flourish in the courts of our God.

14 A un en la vejez fructificarán; estarán vigorosos y verdes;

they shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap and verdure.

15 p ara anunciar que el SEÑOR mi fortaleza es recto; y que no hay injusticia en él.

to show that the Lord is upright and faithful to His promises; He is my Rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
