1 Y comenzó Salomón a edificar la Casa en Jerusalén, en el monte Moriah que había sido mostrado a David su padre, en el lugar que David había preparado en la era de Ornán, el jebuseo.

Then Solomon began to build the house of the Lord at Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the Lord appeared to David his father, in the place that David had appointed, on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

2 Y comenzó a edificar en el mes segundo, a los dos del mes, en el cuarto año de su reino.

And Solomon began to build on the second day of the second month in the fourth year of his reign.

3 E stas son las medidas de que Salomón fundó el edificio de la Casa de Dios. La primera medida fue, la longitud de sesenta codos; y la anchura de veinte codos.

Now these are the measurements for the foundations which Solomon laid for the house of God. The length in cubits by the former measure was sixty cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.

4 E l pórtico que estaba en la delantera de la longitud, era de veinte codos al frente del ancho de la casa, y su altura de ciento veinte; y lo cubrió por dentro de oro puro.

The porch or vestibule across the front of the house was the same length as the house’s breadth, twenty cubits, and the height 120 cubits. He overlaid it inside with pure gold.

5 Y cubrió la Casa mayor con madera de haya, la cual cubrió de buen oro, e hizo resaltar sobre ella palmas y cadenas.

And the greater house (the Holy Place) he lined with cypress and overlaid it with fine gold and made palm trees and chains on it.

6 R ecubrió también la casa de piedras preciosas para belleza; y el oro era oro de Parvaim.

And he adorned the house with precious stones for beauty; and the gold was gold of Parvaim.

7 A sí cubrió la Casa, sus vigas, sus umbrales, sus paredes, y sus entradas, con oro; y esculpió querubines en las paredes.

He lined the house (the Holy Place), its beams, thresholds, walls, and doors with gold, and engraved cherubim on the walls.

8 E hizo la Casa del lugar santísimo, cuya longitud era de veinte codos según el ancho del frente de la Casa, y su anchura de veinte codos; y la recubrió de buen oro que ascendía a seiscientos talentos.

He made the Most Holy Place, its length equaling the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and its breadth twenty cubits; he overlaid it with 600 talents of fine gold.

9 Y el peso de los clavos tuvo cincuenta siclos de oro. Recubrió también de oro las salas.

The weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. And he lined the upper chambers with gold.

10 Y dentro de la Casa del lugar santísimo hizo dos querubines de hechura de figura, los cuales recubrieron de oro.

And in the Most Holy Place he made two cherubim of image work, and they were overlaid with gold.

11 E l largo de las alas de los querubines era de veinte codos; porque un ala era de cinco codos; la cual llegaba hasta la pared de la Casa; y la otra ala de cinco codos, la cual llegaba al ala del otro querubín.

And the wings of the cherubim extended twenty cubits: one wing of one cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house, and its other wing of five cubits touched the other cherub’s wing.

12 D e la misma manera un ala del otro querubín era de cinco codos; la cual llegaba hasta la pared de la Casa; y la otra ala era de cinco codos, que tocaba el ala del otro querubín.

And of the other cherub one wing of five cubits touched the wall of the house, and the other wing, also five cubits, joined the wing of the first cherub.

13 A sí las alas de estos querubines estaban extendidas por veinte codos; y ellos estaban en pie con los rostros hacia la Casa.

The wings of these cherubim extended twenty cubits; the cherubim stood on their feet, their faces toward the Holy Place.

14 H izo también un velo de cárdeno, púrpura, carmesí y lino, e hizo resaltar en él querubines.

And he made the veil of blue, purple, and crimson colors, and fine linen, and embroidered cherubim on it.

15 D elante de la Casa hizo dos columnas de treinta y cinco codos de longitud; con sus capiteles encima, de cinco codos.

Before the house he made two pillars, 35 cubits high, with a capital on the top of each which was five cubits.

16 H izo también unas cadenas como en el oráculo, y las puso sobre los capiteles de las columnas; e hizo cien granadas, las cuales puso en las cadenas.

He made chains like a necklace and put them on the heads of the pillars, and he made 100 pomegranates and put them on the chains.

17 Y asentó las columnas delante del templo, la una a la mano derecha, y la otra a la izquierda; y a la de la mano derecha llamó Jaquín, y a la de la izquierda, Boaz.

He erected the pillars before the temple, one on the right, the other on the left, and called the one on the right Jachin and the one on the left Boaz.
